Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

OneBoyOneGirl · 15/08/2008 19:14

Thank you everyone

I have to have some repeat bloods to rule out an eptopic but when that is over i will be better.

I am thankful for the two children i have, and i think once you have m/c before you almost expect it, still a blow though.

I'm going to delete the thread from my list tho cause i don't want to dampen things for all you other BFP'S - may pop in from time to time to catch up though to see how your all getting on.

diddle · 15/08/2008 20:04

lulubai - the thought of twins scares me too and luckily it has the same affect on DH, as lovely as it would be, i think i'd lose the plot if that happened, we already have a 2yr old and a 10 month old. twins would polish me off.
I'm also feeling very very sick this time. One happy healthy baby will do me fine.

tictac - got everything crossed for you hun, some women bleed lots during pregnancy and it doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong. If you're at all impatient, i would suggest a scan a private clinic, i've had one that early and they can see something with better equipment than a lot of hospitals. worth a try. I know a mom who bled lots through both her pregnancies and still had healthy babies. if you have lots of pain i would get it double checked sooner to rule out ectopic pregnancy, sounds scary i know, but its not worth the risk.

oneboyonegirl - so very sorry to hear of your loss, hope you're doing ok and they're treating you quickly.

Mrs fossil - i have just walked down the stairs wondering where my enormous tummy has come from, hard to believe that there is no baby in there, can't see my feet anymore! not good, don't want anyone asking me at 6 wks.

Oddeyes - to be honest you won't see much at 6+6, probably just a heartbeat and a peanut we're thinking of waiting until 9 weeks so we can see much more.

welcome alexandra peppernose. and congrats. how old are your other 2?

diddle · 15/08/2008 20:26

thought i was doing ok on the emotion side of things, but just watching Eastenders and poor wellard is being put to sleep. so sad. but not really, only because i'm hormonal

foxymagoo · 15/08/2008 22:02

Thinking of you OneBoyOneGirl, look after yourself..

TicTok I bled with DS at 5-6 weeks then nothing until the day AFTER we had the 12 weeks scan and had told everyone. I was convinced I was having a mc as it was quite heavy and was rushed for emergency scan and everything was OK...

Feeling really knckered today, had busy day at work, lots of meetings with Nurses (I work in HR for NHS) and all I wanted to do was curl up on the carpet and go for a nap!

Hi lyrasilver Oh no I've been rumbled by a RL person . Please keep schtum as not even my Mum knows! Hope Noah enjoys Two's!

I'm off back downstairs, came up as DH was watching Olympic highlights and I lost interest after the gymnastics...

foxymagoo · 15/08/2008 22:03

of course that should have read TicTac - doh!

salstars · 16/08/2008 06:42

It's really sad to hear that we've already lost one person (oneboyonegirl) - also hope you are ok tictac.

I'm feeling OK - reached 6 wks today which is a bit of a milestone. From hereon in it's all new to me (cos my mc was at 5.5wks), so quite exciting!

I am getting really fed up with my sore boobs - I feel like I mention them every time I post, but it's the most overwhelming symptom I have (fingers crossed no nausea yet).

Have also had disturbed sleep for two nights - and it's not just the nighttime trips to the loo. Hence I'm sat downstairs at 6am on a Saturday watching the Olympics and rambling on to you lot. Hope someone else out there is also awake!

Today we're telling dp's family (his parents & sister), so that should be fun - I find it very hard not to tell everyone I meet, I'm so bad at keeping a secret!! I almost told my boss at work yesterday but managed not to. Anyone else finding it hard to keep their mouth shut?

salstars · 16/08/2008 07:20

diddle - you're not alone. I've just watched the british female swimmer getting gold - I'm in floods of tears!!

lyrasilver · 16/08/2008 11:05

Foxymagoo... dont worry, I realise these its early days and its your news. Lips well and trully sealed! Just nice to know you are getting there. Love to you and yours.

Clairedaz · 16/08/2008 15:29

Feeling v fed up - have had brown/red blood - not heavy to come through on towell but enough when wiping. no cramps yet.

Have taken myself off as now on towell - think this is the end.

Good luck to all you other mums out there, take care.xx

whatawally · 17/08/2008 07:41

Clairedaz- I'm so sorry. sending you lots of love and hugs. Try and take it easy.

Welcome to stork and any other newbies I've neglected to mention. Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with whats going on very well at the moment. My morning sickness is so bad, I've spent the last 2 days in the bed.

I haven't actually been throwing up but the feelings of wanting to is so strong and so frequent that I have felt it really debilitating. I've had morning sickness with my 3 girls but nothing like this.

Could this be a sign that it is likely to be a boy this time? Fingers crossed, tho would not at all be dissapointed to get another girl.

Those of you with more than one what are you experiences with morning sickness and the gender of baby?

Hope all is well, catch up later.

StorkExpectedInApril · 17/08/2008 10:32

'Those of you with more than one what are you experiences with morning sickness and the gender of baby?'

With my ds, I had no morning sickness, just the odd bit of queasiness but no actual vomiting. With my dd, I had vomiting between weeks 8 and 17, not particularly severe but I remember feeling awful a lot of the time.

I have friends whose very similar pregnancies did produce a change of gender; by contrast, I have friends whose very dissimilar pregnancies did not produce a change of gender!!

I guess you may get some more clues at your scan...

Anyone planning to have a CVS or an amnio done?

foxymagoo · 17/08/2008 12:49

Hi All,

Hope your all resting today it being Sunday and welcome Stork!

Clairedaz - my thoughts are with you today..

I stayed in bed 'til 10.30am this morning (thanks you DH!) - did too much yesterday (4 loads of washing then 2 hours weeding the playgroup garden) and really felt floored last night. No chores for me today just wafting around in my dressing gown.

re: ms and gender difference, I threw up three times a day from 6-11 weeks with ds but nowhere near as bad this time around so I'm thinking maybe a girl . Lack of ms is concerning me but Doctor did say not to worry as it "doesn't make you any less pregnant". I have gone right off tea and have to eat small amounts all day so maybe its just not as much a shock to my body this time around..

I've already had the amnio discussion with DH as fully expecting my bloods to come back high risk due to me being 37 but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Is anyone stil dyeing their hair? I do mine every 2 months to cover my (still sporadic!) grey and its time for a touch up.

StorkExpectedInApril · 17/08/2008 13:45

Foxy - No grey hairs here (and I'm older than you!) so no hair-dyeing required!!!

I'm thinking about having a CVS but need to speak to my midwife first to find out some more information.

TicTac · 17/08/2008 16:17

Oneboyonegirl - Really sorry to hear your news.

Oddeyes - I would wait another week if you can for the scan. More chance of seeing heart beat then and the tiny ones dont like the scans!

I had my 2nd lot of bloods today. I should get the results by 9pm tonight. I have had more bleeds but have been really unwell too. I will pop on some time after I hear and let you lovely ladies know.

Hope the rest of you are feeling good!

ScrumptiousBumptious · 17/08/2008 17:59

Just popping in to say fingers crossed for your results TicTac.

Oneboyonegirl - very sorry to hear your news and take it easy.

mrsfossil · 17/08/2008 18:05

hello all

Tictac and clairedaz have all my fingers and toes crossed for you both. You must be feeling so anxious and down, really hope everything works out for you two.

mrsfossil · 17/08/2008 18:12

Hope everyone else is ok, anyone feel like they are "blooming" yet. Or do we all feel exhausted. I feel like someones drugged my tea! I'm constantly in sleepy land. No sickness but i did feel a bit icky yesterday and this morning, it was like i had just got off a rollar coaster!

I now look about 5 months pregnant which is odd as one website said at 6 weeks feotus is about the size of daisy petal maybe time to watch what i'm stuffing my face with, no more cream cakes hard when you are consatntly hungry

mathsmummy27 · 17/08/2008 18:38

hello everyone, sorry to hear lots of worried mummies out there my thoughts are with you.

Went to a wedding yeasterday and every third person said 'you're pregnant, aren't you? we knew weeks ago...' Great!

ScrumptiousBumptious · 17/08/2008 18:43

Hee hee mrsfossil! I am certainly not blooming. My skin has become kind of bumpily spotty which is just gorgeous (apparently due to the lovely raging hormones-) let's hope it goes away by 11 /12 weeks. Had lovely skin last time. Boo hoo. Maybe that was later on in the pregnancy though.

I'm not looking pregnant yet, but that's down to the fact that I can't eat much due to the constant nausea. In fact, in the last 7 weeks of being pregnant, I have shifted all the las hanging around pounds from my last pregnany. Which I'm pleased about as I'm starting from the same point as last time now.)

I also can't face anything sweet at all. Which is insane as I LOVE sweet things. So I keep eating them anyway, but then am properly sick. Booooooooooooooo.

Got a craving for eggs this evening. And potatoes. Can't wait for dinner!

ScrumptiousBumptious · 17/08/2008 18:44

That's funny mathsmummy. How did they know? You must be 'blooming'?

salstars · 17/08/2008 18:46

Clairedaz - really sorry to hear your news (if it is confirmed my now) - am thinking of you.

TicTac · 17/08/2008 18:58

Hi ladies, well the hospital rang about an hour ago and as I thought, I am on my way to a m/c.

Thanks for al your lovely support so far and I hope you all have wonderul blooming pregnancies! If we get lucky and conceive again, I shall pop back and let you know.
