Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

Good am glad that's ok.

Binky good news on the possible twins. Dh told me the other day that he had a nightmare that I might be carrying twins. But we have 3 already so that would take us up to 5.

i cant wait to get my scan out of the way. I m/c in january. Baby died at 7 weeks but didn't find out till 12 weeks so it was heart wrenching for me. Hoping for a much more positive outcome this time.

Sending all my prayers out for everyone on theis thread, that we all might have sticky babies.

Must go as dd3 is crying her heart out, bless, she has a cold and is feeling very under the weather.

diddle · 14/08/2008 19:42

binkyb - i stopped feeling sick at around 14 wks with both of mine, i was just nauseous until 1 day i was sick and that ended the nausea for me.

foxymagoo · 14/08/2008 20:10

Evening all,

Doctor's appointment went really well, we had a long chat about 'second time around' and my wish for a VBAC and she reassured me that I will be supported all the way. Had a chuckle being handed 'Emma's Diary' again - had a quick read and yes the baby is still Chloe!

Only downside was that my booking appointment isn't until 18th Sept. when I'll (hopefully) be 11+2 . They should take place @ 8 weeks but are fully booked. Just hope it doesn't delay my 12 week scan..

Anyhoo, I need carbs so toodle pip

diddle · 14/08/2008 20:15

excellent foxy - great day 4 you

lyrasilver · 14/08/2008 21:01

Foxymagoo... congratulations! Hoping all goes wonderfully well for you.Wont see at Toddlers as Noah and me have moved up to 2's club. Looking forward to hearing your news officially tho. Until then what happens on mumsnet stays on mumsnet!

OddEyes · 14/08/2008 21:41

evening ladies!
lots of happy news with more bfp - welcome, scans, appointments, arms etc - making things more real and less anxious for you all
in bed for 3rd time today back to sleeping when ds sleeps which means we now live in a filthy pigsty!
off the menu: apples now taste blearhh usually my fav and smoked fish!
did a quick baby budget - ie how much will a second cost: pram, car seat etc - my conclusion: i am going to start saving!
Anyways rest well ladies and fill up with all things ginger!

JenJam · 14/08/2008 22:03

Binky - what an exciting possibility! I read your post out to my DP who looked panicked. boo ...we have to wait til mid Sept for our first scan.

flyingdaisies and suprise3 and anyone else I've forgotten congrats and welcome

kalik I hope you are feeling ok. i had the brown stuff for a day or two at 5 weeks.

I'm exhausted tonight and feel a bit PMT-ish. Biscuit then bed I think. night

evs34 · 15/08/2008 09:15

Morning ladies. another day at the office. having this keeps me going though. cant face wearing knickers under my leggings today as all too sensitive down there - v v strange indeed. quite liberating though, dont think i have ever done it before!

BinkyB - fingers crossed for the second heart beat, v exciting though to just see one on a scan, still waiting for mine - the days drag on and on. my first time too so it is lovely being able to share experience with others in the same boat - my hubbie just thinks it is all in my head !!!

LittleMy - i am a GP so had to spend 6 mths obs and gynae with a lot of midwifes ruling the roost - though some were fab - worst bit is it is my local so i will now have to deliver there! maybe should have been nicer to them. oops!

flyingdaisies - we have just told our best friend and his wife and my baby sister and her boyfriend because i was too excited. think once we have our viability/ dating scan next week - if all ok then will tell parents.

have a good friday, hooray for the weekend. xx

LuLuBai · 15/08/2008 10:01

My DH was speculating on whether I might be pg with twins. Solely based on the fact that I feel a lot more ill this time (and refuse to cook for him most evenings as smells yukky).

I wailed at him "but how would we cope!?". He replied confidently "Oh we'd be fine".

Yeah - right. He would be fine. Out at the office all the time and spending half the week away from home in a nice centrally heated hotel leaving me in a building site with no heating a staircase with no bannisters etc etc. Lovely.

Having thought it through I really hope there is only one in there!

TicTac · 15/08/2008 11:52

I have had quite a bit of bleeding (bit like AF but no pain) so have been referred to the EPU at hospital this afternoon at 15:00. Never have a MC before so dont know if this is the start or not.

The GP said they will normally do a specialised pregnancy test and repeat after 48 hours as they can't really see anything at 6 weeks.

Will update you later.

ScrumptiousBumptious · 15/08/2008 11:57

Oh Tictac, so sorry to hear that there might be a problem. Fingers crossed for you that it's not a MC. I know it's easy to say, but try and take it easy as much as you can before then. Hope it's good news for you.

ScrumptiousBumptious · 15/08/2008 12:42

Is anyone else feeling overly emotional at the moment? I am welling up at the smallest, most ridiculous things. I think I need to get a grip!

OneBoyOneGirl · 15/08/2008 13:33

That was obviously meant to be a sad face, not a grin! Shit!

soundbites · 15/08/2008 13:34

Tictac ? hope things are ok for you.

Scrumptious ? have told a friend who asked 'So, are you pregnant yet?' and I found I couldn't lie! She is sworn to secrecy. Will tell my parents when they visit on the bank hol next weekend and then DH's dad will need to know.

Saw the doctor today, so I am now on the system and my scan booking is in progress. Booked to see midwife on 27 Aug. Appmt was fairly routine, and her dates thing wasn't working so still the most accurate due date I have is the one I worked out using the BBC's date calculator!

Have a good weekend everyone!

hopeful1 · 15/08/2008 15:14

oneboyonegirl,

I am so sorry to hear your news

whatawally · 15/08/2008 15:58

oneboyonegirl- So sorry to hear your news, I m/c in Jan so I know what an awful time this is at the moment. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

Tictac- I really hope things turn out ok for you. Try not to stress to much.

Evs34- Sounds lijke you might be a month further on to me. I had the same when I was pg with my m/c. My period was a few days laste and lasted 2 days. Of course I took it as a light period and didn't find out till the following month that I was pg. So you might be moving up to the March thread then.

Hope all goes well with you dating scan on tuesday.

OddEyes · 15/08/2008 17:12

oneboyonegirl sorry for your loss, best wishes for future.
tictac am sorry for you worry, hope they were really lovely to you at epu.
Question: i am thinking I am going to go for a scan on wednesday - what do folk think? I would be 6 +6. It is just that my husband would be able to go with me, as he has an appointment in the same hospital later that morning. Do you think it would be to early? I know i said I would wait a week longer than this but...

AlexandraPeppernose · 15/08/2008 18:36

Hi. Can i join you. I'm due on 2nd April. This will be my 3rd child. Am very excited about being pregnant again but I feel like absolute crap already - far worse than my previous 2 pregnancies.

Looking forward to chatting to you all

thebluefoxategreensocks · 15/08/2008 18:56

OneBoyOneGirl: so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are OK. Do try and get some rest and take care of yourself! xx
