Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

lixanismapolium · 08/08/2008 19:35

Hello all. My, aren't there a lot of us now ...

Went to see my GP this morning ad he thought due date should be 18th April rather than 14th, so I've changed it on the list.

It was a very uneventful appointment. I had to choose one of two hospitals for him to send the referral to and he said I should expect an appointment to come through for when I am 10 - 12 weeks. He didn't even do any sort of test.

Anyway, here's the list with my new date:

mrsfossil: due 10th april 1 DS 6.5
Jerin: due ? DS 9 months
Summerbaby: due 25 March
Gemzooks: due 29 March, DS 1.9 then 2 m/cs, age 32, live in Holland
Cosmo: Due 31st March, 1st timer
Kalikaroo: Due beginning April, lives Scandinavia
LittleMy: due April 1, DS 2.4 and an April baby as well!
Jumbs: Due 3 April, DS 12 months
Mumacita: due April 4. First time and terrified/thrilled/teary
ScrumptiousBumptious: due 5th April, 1 DD 13 months
Ruddynorah: Due April 6th, DD 2 years
Foxymagoo: due 6 April, 1 DS 26 months
Mathsmummy27: Due 6th April, DD 2years 10
months
TT3: due 7th? April, 1 DS 2(?) years
Rachelinscotland: due 7th April, DD 2 years 9 months, and DS 16.5 months
Whatawally: Due 8 April
Oddeyes: Due 9th April, 1 DS 17 months.
Soundbites (30) due 11 April, DD aged 18 months
Dungungirl (30) due 11 April, 1 m/c, DS aged 3.5 years

lixanismapolium (Lix): Due 18th April, DD 3 yrs 5 months
TicTac (32) Due: 15th April Cycle #1 DD1 age 2.5
mizzannie: due 4 april first timer
LuLuBai : Due early - mid april, 1DD aged 16 months

ScrumptiousBumptious · 08/08/2008 19:46

Hi everyone, and congratulations to the new people on here. This list is building up by the hour! I can't keep up!

evs34 - not feeling 'fat' as such. Just permanantly bloated and windy! Nice!

babyshoes - So sorry to read your post. Hope you are taking it easy for a bit, and will look out for you around these boards in the future.

Lix - GP visits are terribly uneventful aren't they! I haven't bothered making one this time as last time he had absolutely nothing to say. I had to see the Dr earlier in the week and we got round to talking about how DD is still breastfeeding and the Dr practiacally sniggered like a naughty school boy. Hmmmmmmm. Helpful!

salbysea - are you joining us too? Can't see you on the list yet.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/08/2008 20:15

ScrumptiousBumptious: What would your GP think if he knew I was still bfing my 2.5yo daughter and 16.5mo son....and now preg again! LOL Admittedly I do plan to fully wean my daughter soon (she only has one feed for going to sleep at night anyway, so hardly bfing really) but my son has quite a few in the day and night (as well as now - finally - eating a good 3 meals a day! But there's certainly nothing wrong at all with bfing while you're pregnant!

foxymagoo · 08/08/2008 20:20

Welcome SalBySea and Evs34!

Another bloated and windy one here. Out for lunch with work today and trousers felt like cheese wire round my waist all afternoon.

Sooo glad to get into joggies tonight.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/08/2008 20:31

Glad to know it's not just me who feels her waist has expanded overnight and likes to be in unrestricted clothing! LOL Not sure what it is about this time round - I'm sure my tummy was relatively small and unnoticable the previous two times for a very long time - so 5 weeks seems mighty early to be so big! You think it's because I never got off my pregnancy weight from my last baby??!

mathsmummy27 · 08/08/2008 21:11

Hello all and welcome to newcomers.
I wore an empire line dress our to dinner last nights and after an admittedly huge meal, I looked about 4 months gone.....
I am wondering about water birth. DH will go mad but not his perineum!

Cosmogirl · 09/08/2008 09:07

Hi all,

Babyshoes - sorry to hear that you are leaving us take good care of yourself. x

Welcome to all the new peeps! I can't keep up!

Well, sickness has kicked in really bad for me. Since Tuesday have had nausea from waking to sleeping. Have been going to bed at about 8-8.30 every night! I haven't been physically sick yet but feel ill constantly which is prob worse....Feeling pretty down about it to be honest....The only thing that has seemed to help so far is eating, so I am going to be size of house before too long...

ToastnHoney · 09/08/2008 11:35

Hello again everyone.

Babyshoes - sorry and wishing you success again quickly.

Just realised I'm not on the list so adding myself.

ToastnHoney: Due 6 April, first timer

Lewisham has sent me an appointment for 29 Sept for the scan so I'll be just over 13 weeks. I'm not sure I can wait that long, even thinking about paying the £100 for an early scan at a private clinic. Has anyone else done this, or thinking about it?

Sorry for Cosmogirl and others with nausea. I thought my tiredness and tummy cramps were bad enough but that sounds horrible. Does anyone know, for those of us who haven't started getting morning sickness by 6 weeks, does this mean we're not going to get it? (or is that too hopeful by far?!)

Cosmogirl · 09/08/2008 12:02

Hi Toastnhoney - congrats on your bfp! I think that nausea/sickness can still hit at 7/8 weeks unfortunately, but hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones not to get it, it really is unpleasant.... Think it depends on your body's reaction to the rising hormone levels.

I have the booking in appt with midwife a week tomorrow, but not sure when scan will be. Hopefully 12 weeks - like you, I don't want to wait much longer!

LittleMyDancingForJoy · 09/08/2008 14:43

Hello all, yes, I'm feeling sick too - particularly when hungry, and also fat, and tired, etc etc etc

Got my consultant's appointment through for 29th April (we had problems last time so consultant care for me) so that's good and reassuring. Can't wait for scan but also feeling a bit scared, as the 12 week scan was where we first got wind of problems with the last pregnancy, so I'll be like a cat on hot bricks the night before that one.

got sister staying with two nieces at the moment (5 and 20 months) so house is quite full and not much chance to sit down!

Hiya everyone - can i join? )
I got a BFP today and it hasn't quite sunk in but i have worked out i will be due roughly 7th April i think.
I already have a DD 2.6 and DS 1.0 so this is my third pregnancy.

Heres wishing you all happy, healthy and problem free pregnancies. )

SalBySea · 09/08/2008 18:08

p.s about me - first timer, not sure of dates really because I ovulate very late in my cycle, but if its from start of cycle I'm 5 weeks.
Am due to get married at exactly 12 weeks - hoping my boobs stay in my dress on the day - they are massive scary beasts already!

Clairedaz · 09/08/2008 18:46

Had BFP Wednesday just gone and it was positive - due date 10.4.09.

Have already posted on different sites as have had 2 mmc within this last year so am v nervous.

Glad there is a thread for "Due April 09" - hopefully this time I can keep reporting up the deadline.

Have felt slightly nauseaus and v tired - boobs not sore at mo - hope this is a good thing.

Not going to register with doctors yet - to wait until about 8-9 wks then to go to EPU for a scan before going through the rigmoral of completing forms and blood tests.

Congrats though to LittleMissDancingForJoy - is this your first?

Clairedaz · 09/08/2008 18:50

Sorry LittleMyDancingForJoy still getting used to the acronyms - now know you have a ds.

OddEyes · 09/08/2008 20:19

I'm back from my holiday and absolutly exhausted!! Had two sleeps most days though which was nice and read a book (a long time since the last one)!
Congratulations to all the new BFP since I went away - lots of us now!
Dungungirl i remember you off the November 08 thread, I had mc in March too, glad to hear your good news.
Anyone else choosing between Whit and UCH? Went Whit last time - killed a cockroach but good care vs UCH with new building.
Counting down to EPU scan - can't wait. Was going to go at 7 weeks but over the holiday thought I would hedge and wait till 8. Clairedaz your waiting till 8 too?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 09/08/2008 20:28

OneBoyOneGirl: congratulations, it's your 3rd time same as me! I've also got a daughter who must be just a couple of months older than yours and a son who is nearly 17 months.

OneBoyOneGirl · 09/08/2008 20:47

rachelinscotland : Thank you! Congratulations to you to.
It still hasn't sunk in yet with me - im petrified, but reassuring to know someone else is in the same position

thebluefoxategreensocks · 09/08/2008 22:58

OneBoyOneGirl: aww well try not to worry too much - I'm sure everything will work out. Everyone always says it's hardest going from 1 to 2, but after that another child isn't much difference. I had 6 younger brothers & sisters and it was wonderful. We had hard times at different points in our life and struggled as well, but it was great having a big family and I'm sure none of us would have had it any other way. Children are a great blessing and I'm sure you'll be delighted with a new baby in 8 months time.

ScrumptiousBumptious · 10/08/2008 09:03

Morning everyone, and welcome and congratulations to the new joiners.

rachelinscotland - my dear Dr would have had a heartattack at the thought of all that breast feeding going on. The scandal of it! He would also be wondering how you could possibly be alive as he seemed to think I would waste away just being pregnant and BF one DD!

Congrats on wedding too SalBySea - how exciting!

I seem to be having alternate days where I feel sick! Weird! Today is unfortunately a sick day. Yesterday I felt great though!

How's everyone else doing?

MrsClippy · 10/08/2008 10:24

Hello
Can I join you? I am 5 weeks ish and due on 11th April.
So far no symptoms beyond sore breasts and tiredness. I am sure I had my head in a bucket by this point last time.
There are loads of people for a competitive birthing thread come April

Clairedaz · 10/08/2008 11:16
