Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

Aren't you guys lucky!! I have had 2 urine tests with the nurse and now 3 blood tests! All the test say I'm pregnant and I feelpregnant, I have no pain so inmy mind I think I know everything is okay, but I would have preferred they send me for a scan today...the only reason they didn't is because no-one at the early pregnancy unit picked up the phone and GP is impatient as well as insensitive!!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 11:53

Some gps are just crap. I really feel for you Emma. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about! GPs seems to work from their lovely little wheel which presumes you have a 28 day cycle and ov on CD14. Hence my EDD is 6th March but in reality I know it is a bit later than this as I pretty sure I didn't ov'd before CD18 and it could have been as late as CD20. Still, I'm sure they will eventually put my dates back a bit after a scan, so I am not stressing about it now.

MKG · 08/07/2008 12:41

I'm glad I don't have to deal with GPs. My nausea was just for a week about a week and a half ago and now it's gone. It was like that in my other pregnancies too though. Now I have no symptoms at all.

dc3duemarch09 · 08/07/2008 12:41

Hi All

Im still really struggling with the sickness, its constant im just not getting a reast from it!! boobs are bloody killing me to .

Emma could you call your GP and ask him to try they early pegnancy unit again to see if they can see you today, tell him your really worried. I dont know anything about eptopic pgs, but if you feel fine then surely this has to be a good sign.

sorchamc · 08/07/2008 12:51

MKG - I think sometimes the US system can be better, although of course it has its flaws but then again so does ours!

The great thing about GPs is they are perfectly placed for dealing with a wide range of minor complaints and have the medical knowledge to ascertain the best specialist to refer you to if you have a more compelx problem. With a good gp this system does work really well. The problem with this is they are bascially gatekepers; without a referal you can't get to a specialist. So if you are unlucky and have a bad one then it can be a hell of a job getting the correct referal/treatment. Also because they have to refer you, I had to see the GP before I could see the midwife. In my opinion that was a complete waste of time and tax payers money because she really didn't do anything!

Dc3 - sorry you're feeling so sick so early on.

Sorch - welcome. Feel free to add yourself to the list. MN is a fantastic place to chat, get advice and generally not feel alone!

Emma, it seems to be a never ending worry for you this pregnancy! And we're all still so early on. Hope you finally get to see someone helpful who will be positive and give you good news and you'll be able to enjoy being pg.

I'm not feeling sick yet, but didn't til 7 weeks last time. It lasted 10 weeks, so I don't want that again. This time my main symptom is dizziness, which is odd as I did not have this at all when pg with dd. Every time I stand up my head spins! Boobs are a bit sensitive too. Am seeing GP next week to check that the dizziness is normal.

Hi Fearless - I was well aware the visit was pointless but just wanted to get in the system. If I do mc then at least there is a record of my pg, plus it helps make it all feel moer real.

Dinny - how exciting to have been booked in already. I have mine next week. I am really looking forward to it, although not to being weighed! Have not been near a pair of scales for a couple of years but I am def overweight (size 14/16) I hope this doesn't cause any problems with the midwife!

MollieMooma · 08/07/2008 14:24

dinny Glad your appt went well, fab news on the scales weighing you lighter! I started weightwatchers 2 wks ago and have been doing really well, but they kick you out when they find out your pg so I've got to keep quiet for a bit so that I can continue losing weight!
Did they book your dating scan in?

dinny · 08/07/2008 14:40

Playingthe9monthwait - no, it won't be a prob with the mw, am sure it won't...

Mollie, got to book dating scan direct with hosp, must fill in the form, thanks for reminding me!

Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 15:24

Well I hope it won't. I've never really cared about my weight before but I am starting to think of my body in a whole different way at the moment as I have a life inside me!

Tapster · 08/07/2008 15:42

Can you add me, got a BFP on Monday ttcicng no.2 due 20th March (yes I tested early). DD 20months.

I'm worried about MC because of my age, I'm in my late 30s. Need to contact the GP as I want a nuchal fold with a blood test, so need to know whether I have to go private.

I tested early even though convinced I wasn't pregnant as I felt so sick on Sunday - my morning sickness continues, same happened with DD.

I'm still BFing DD - anybody else out there!

Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 16:08

emma2617 · 08/07/2008 16:20

Just realised there is only 3 of us left with no EDD!! I will update my info after I have had the call from the doctor tomorrow...for some reason it feels like tempting fate...even though I know it will make absolutely no difference!

Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 16:22

I know exactly what you mean Emma. I was like that yesterday when the doctor asked me where I wanted to give birth, it too felt like tempting fate!

emma2617 · 08/07/2008 16:28

Playing I can't beleive the doctor would ask you this early where you want to give birth!! What a ridiculous question!! Why are GPs so silly?!

Playingthe9monthwait · 08/07/2008 16:56

I know, I was astounded! Firstly this will be my first dc, so I barely know what the options are, secondly I am 5 weeks FGS!

fififlores · 08/07/2008 16:57

My EDD is 4 March - forgot to mention it, in the midst of packing! But as DS arrived 3 weeks early, I´m keeping the diary free for mid-Feb.
