Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

Sorry- got distracted and hit post before I was ready.

Things definately sounds very positive. Did you get a strong results when you tested early?

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2008 13:50

Hi Hermionegranger Welcome and congratulations

Twocutedarlings My cycles are all over the place thanks to PCOS. Sometimes 100 days sometimes 47days no regularity at all.
Sorry, I always assume we've all come from the desperately TTC threads.
CD=Cycle day
AF=Aunty Flo (Period)
It's really sad cos after 11 months of being on the TTC threads I end up talking in the same language to real life friends who have no idea what I'm talking about
If you can make any sense out of my chart then I'd love to hear your ideas!
I hope your sickness stays away form now on. Mine hasn't kicked in yet. Although I don't really remember feeling very sick with DS.
Your 1st birth sounds horrific But pleased your 2nd wasn't too bad Mine was also pretty horrific although I can't remember too much of it except for the pain!

Mollie I sympathise with your raging hormones. I was in floods of tears last night cos DP wanted to go out. In all fairness, he's been out lots and we're struggling enough anyway. Then I couldn't stop crying after we made up and then I saw that horrific program about the Qur'an and the circumcision of the poor little girl in Africa and that was it. I've got tears in my eyes just thinking about it

Aunty I too had a heavy baby. He was 9.12 which is one of the reasons he wouldn't come out. I've ordered a smaller baby this time round I'm hoping they will be able to guestimate the size of this one nearer delivery time. I was told last time my baby wasn't big - Big fat liars!
Your runner bean thing would have reduced me to tears too. Looks like we were all in floods of tears last night then

Emma I think the sharp pains are just baby nestling in. I've been having them the past few days. It's normal. Don't worry

Hi there captainKarvol and Mavisgrind and cngratulations to you two These girls are such a lovely bunch, I'm so happy to be able to share my pregnancy with them all I'm just a bit sad that I can't bring over all my other friends from the TTC thread So pleased your here though mollie (She's gonna help me to plan my wedding aren't you Mol)
Let us know how it goes with DH Captain I bet he'll be wired to the moon!

Playing I'm very nervous about telling work. I'm a Childminder and have only just signed on a new full-timer! I really thought it would be months if not years before we have another baby due to my trouble TTC. I'm quite friendly with most of the parents and most of them know I've got PCOS (although not realising we were actually TTC) so I might be able to get away with not telling them for a while (or until the bump shows) as they know how long my cycles can be it wouldn't be difficult to not realise a pregnancy for a while! if that makes any sense

Jesus wept that was a long post!

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2008 13:54

See it took me so long to write that post I missed a few more posts out!

Hi there Star Well the best thread has to be Emmsy's waiting room :-P Congratulations to you young lady

MollieMooma · 15/07/2008 14:06

Goodness the BFP's are rolling in!
Hello, congratulations and welcome to MarvisGrind, CaptainKarvol and Starshinetiger Fruity I hope your lying down after that mammoth post and total agree Emmsy's thread all the way!
Emma Really pleased the GP put your mind at rest, I've been getting a few pains but nothing to regular.

Well at last I have a date for my scan it's next Tuesday so I will now silently brick myself until I hopefully see a HB. I'll be 6wks 6 days so I should see a HB shouldn't I?

Starshinetiger · 15/07/2008 14:18

Thanks for welcome folks. I knew I might start something there with my TTC thread praise!!
GYo - am only not confident about BFP because with DS it didn't even occur to me to test because it was our first month of trying, so I tested a week after AF due adn got a v. strong BFP. This time round, I've tested early and even though AF is late, as BFP wasn't particularly dark I can't believe it's real. Just wait until the sickness kicks in and I might believe it then. Thanks for reassurance that your symptoms are similar.
Don't like to talk about doubting my BFP on the TTC thread where folks are desperately waiting for theirs
I'm not a regular poster, due to work (but probably far more regular than I should be, given that I work )

GYo · 15/07/2008 14:23

LOL star likewise....

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2008 14:41

Just as I promised myself I wouldn't start eating for two, I've just demolished 3-4 slices of cheese on toast Now I feel sick and very guilty. It's not like I'm in the throes of pregnancy either I'm just down right greedy and now I can't move

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2008 14:41

Mollie I'm never going to get into my dream dress am I come September at this rate

MollieMooma · 15/07/2008 14:46

Fruity LOL at your eating! I'm the opposite I seem to have lost my appetite and it doesn't take much to be full these days. I'm weighting at WW tomorrow night and dreading that I've put on again as I feel fat, but I have been so bloody good I will be so

emma2617 · 15/07/2008 14:50

With regards telling work...I had to tell quite early due the the amount of time I needed off due to my many doctors appoitments!! My manager then had to tell her manager and HR so it sort of feels like everyone knows!! I have only told 4 of my colleagues though (including my manager!) but apparently almost everyone else has asked them if I am pregnant...fortunately they have denied it for me!!

But I do now have an up to date copy of the maternity policy so that I can swot up before I have to tell them anything...I have 17 weeks to mull it over!

I also promised myself I wouldn't eat for 2, as I know full well you only need 200 extra calories a day, but I just cant help myself!! I am not eating regularly due to tiredness, feeling sick and work...but when i do eat it is seriously not the right stuff!!!! Oh well...I am sure I will get bored of it soon enough...I hope anyway!

auntyspan · 15/07/2008 15:04

Hi there star - another graduate from the most successful TTC thread!

I have got my dating scan booked - 13th August. I'm having it done privately as it's part of the package when I get my nuchal fold done. V excited about it but it feels YEARS away!! Have midwife appointment in a couple of weeks which should break it up for me

fruity i think if I eat less and actually get off my fat arse once in a while during this pregnancy I should be OK. I've been VERY good today and had lots of fruit although I have a bag of maltersers in my desk drawer that are calling me

I have told work - it's a very small office (all women) and I needed the support as I've been retching over my bin

dorothywhipple · 15/07/2008 17:24

Hi all, been away for a while visiting my mother, I told her my news because it came up in conversation, she walked out of the room and hasn't said a word about it since. MOTHERS! She is just about the coldest grandmother to my DD so I really didn't expect much but this???

Hello all the new March Mums, there are so many of us now, after this reaction from my mum I appreciate the support here all the more! Here's to all of us xxx

twocutedarlings · 15/07/2008 18:56

Shall we holdhands dorothy, my Mums been shocking about it to, try not to let it get to you to much. Ive not spoken to my Mum since last friday when i told, and to be honest ive no intentions of calling her, i for a fact that i will be in for a long wait.

Sod em, thats what i say .

Tapster · 15/07/2008 19:06

I'm still here, looking at all the new BFPs, congratulations to you all. Went to the doctors who confirmed 20th March as EDD. Will need to book a private nuchal scan as GP didn't know if my hospital will give me a blood test at the same time - he agreed that at my age 38 it was worth being sure. I'm holiding out against having an early private scan, for me it would be worse to know that everything was okay at 8 weeks then not at 12 weeks. I do sound pessimistic but miscarriage rates are high by my age.

Glad GP said in my boat an elective C-section would be the most sensible choice, hope the midwives agree. I had a 9lb 1oz baby and I'm only 5ft tall so it was an EMCS and a dreadful experience. So from 30ish weeks I will be very certain of my delivery date!

MKG · 15/07/2008 19:16

Hello all. This morning has been terrible. I woke up to our Carbon Monoxide alarm going off. Apparently everying in the neighborhood did, and no power. The came the sirens of police, fire trucks, and ambulances.

Just a Brown Out, but I'm exhausted.

MKG · 15/07/2008 19:17

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies!

Am 6 weeks today, I can't wait for the appointment with the midiwives in two weeks.

Brownout (electricity)-- drop in voltage in an electrical power supply, so named because it typically causes lights to dim.

We lost tv and fridge, but the lights were a dim brown.

FruitynNutty · 15/07/2008 20:31

Oh no MKG That must have been terrifying thinking you've got carbon monoxide leaking into your house! So pleased it turned out to be fine

I've just come back from the GP. She's written me a letter to take to the EPU for a dating scan. I'm going on Thursday with DP, CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!
