Come on I can't be the ONLY one!!! I got my BFP this morning - I think I'm due around the 12th March...

No real symptoms yet other than slightly weary this afternoon, and quite bad backache.

Not too hopeful JUST yet as very early days and had a m/c last year. Already have a DD (2.5)

Don't leave me here on my own too long!!

sorry, Munchie, didn't mean to ignore you - I'm afraid I don't have exp of it but I do know many people bleed and have no other probs at all. have you spken to midwife?

goldmother2b · 12/07/2008 18:43

munchie its always worth getting bleeding checked out if it isn't just a few spots. I'ts probably nothing to worry about but it's also the sypmtom of ectopic pregnancy and m/c. If you are worried give your local EPU a call, and they will advise you on what to do. Good luck x

munchiesmama · 12/07/2008 19:02

Hi everyone, have just had a bit of bleeding today, thankfully no pain. I have spoken to NHS direct who have advised what I need to look out for and, have told me what symptoms require a doctor - dont have any of these so I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens and phone my doctor on Monday if things dont get any worse.

Very sorry to have posted this here (in hindsight should have posted in different topic)as I dont want to upset or panic anyone else , sorry x

MollieMooma · 12/07/2008 19:05

Munchie Of course you should post here, we need to share worries as well as joy, so please don't think you can't say anything unless it's all happy and cheery! If it gets worse ring the EPU direct that's what I did and had an early scan. It is very common, and doesn't always mean it's going to be bad. Keep your chin up and try to relax (easier said than done I know)

auntyspan · 12/07/2008 19:14

munchie don't be daft this is for advice and support as well as comparing symptoms.... I bled twice with my first pg - implantation and them some random bleeding when I was about 8 weeks. I had a scan after the 8 week bleed and all was OK.

Just take it easy for a couple of days and try not to worry... and remember we're here...!

Thanks Mollie and Aunty x

twocutedarlings · 12/07/2008 19:24

Munchie - iirc bleeding around the time a period is expected is quite common, my sil bleed very lightly every mth with both her pgs, she now has 2 very healthy DCs aged 10&14. You are more than welcome to share your feelings here like the others have said we share worries and joy here.

As for my mother, apparently im crazy for having this baby because DD1 has Aspergers and require alot more atttention than most children, so the new baby will take my attention away from her and tip DD1 over the edge . Im not sure what to do about it all. I cannot tell DH what shes said, he would never speak to her again.

Beetle73 · 12/07/2008 20:10

Hi all,

Not feeling too bad thanks Mandy. Just very knackered. Being pretty evil to my DD and DP this evening. But then are both being thoroughly deserving of my witchiness!

Yes Dinny, another 35 year old here - April for me.

TwoCD, I know how you feel. Told my dad last week. He sounded like I'd just told him his dog had died. He can't stand my DP. DD was unplanned, so I think it fries his brain a bit to think that we would actually have planned another one. Anyway, he made all the right noises at the end (as long as you're happy etc.), but basically he thinks that I've gone to the dogs....

dinny · 12/07/2008 20:16

I'm so up and down - one minute really tired and feeing pukey and then feel normal

Beetle, think my mum is not totally delighted...well, she is pleased, but I know she thinks we are silly having more than two children....

Beetle73 · 12/07/2008 20:20

Isn't it funny how our parents can still make us fell like stupid children, at the grand age of 35, and in spite of jobs, homes, children, pensions etc....?

dinny · 12/07/2008 20:30

Yes, Beetle!

I feel like I am sort of asking too much, feel that if anything goes wrong she will think (she'd never say anything like this) that we should have been happy with two. Which we are, but the love and happiness we have as a family together makes us want more!

FruitynNutty · 13/07/2008 08:18

Morning ladies,

Does anyone get this, When I move, I feel like I've pulled something or about to pull something in my lower abdomen. Is this natures way of telling us to avoid doing anything strenuous? Or am I odd?
Also, I've now got a fear of doing a no.2 or coughing in case the bean falls out Anyone else?

FruitynNutty · 13/07/2008 08:20

Still no real symptoms yet. No metallic taste, boobs not bigger or sore, no tiredness yet or sickness. I know it's early days but surely I should be getting something like that? Is no symptoms ok?

Beetle73 · 13/07/2008 08:36

Hi fruity,

I wouldn't worry about no symptoms - it is very early.

As for the stretching thing, I think you're right, we're probably extra-conscious of not pulling or straining, so any tiny twinge seems huge. I think in the interests of your own health you should continue to cough and to execute number 2s .

FruitynNutty · 13/07/2008 08:41

I'm sure your right beetle But when I try to do no2 I feel that pulling in my lower ab again, I really worried I'm going to pull something. I know I've gotta get over it, I'll try!
It's like when I had a c-section with DS, I couldn't cough or poo for days! for fear of tearing the stitches!

GYo · 13/07/2008 11:04

Morning All

Thanks for all the welcomes

Welcome Sunshine

Sorry to hear of the bad reactions from respective parents 2CD and Beetle

Its funny how parents cant undertand we make these decisions for a good reason!

I've not told anyone in the family yet. No one knew we were TTC- we'd told everyone we were leaving it til next January. So Im hoping they wont guess before we tell them!

FnN try not to worry about no symptoms, enjoy it while you can! [gri]

I've not really got anything except nausea if I dont eat really regularly. I am determined to stay positive re sickness. Im prone to nausea (travelling, eating too much, wind blowing in wrong direction etc ) so I am following the anti MS tips and eating as often as possible.

Munchie--Are you RH- if you are tell the midiwfe because you may need and Anti D shot. I had subchoronic hemorrage with ds2 where I never saw any blood (it was internal) but if I ever saw any blood I was told to go in for a shot.

Is the bleeding brown? It could just be old blood.
Have you had sex? It could be cervical bleeding.

Brown blood is usually not a problem, red blood is.

auntyspan · 13/07/2008 13:00

Morning everyone - welcome newbies can we all remember to update the stats please?!?!

dinny I'm a 1973-er too... I'll be 35 in December...
munchie hows it going? are you resting... any more bleeding?

i haven't told my dad yet - he has mid-stage vascular dementia & i want to have a scan picture to show him so he has something tangible to see. Me and DH went to see him and mum this morning and he pointed to DD and said to me "you MUST have another" and it was on the tip on my tongue to tell him....

My symptoms very much come and go - I was pretty much OK all friday other than tiredness, yesterday afternoon was dreadful and I thought I was going to barf everywhere, and today, so far, as been OK. Weird isn't it?? I'm doing a lot less worrying this time as I realised that I can't do anything about it, what will be will be....!

Afternoon,
So sorry about the parents TwoCD & Beetle at least you know you'll do a better job with your children
Well I lay there in bed last night and felt a bit sick for 2 hours, hadn't over indulged so I was really excited it might be MS but then nothing this morning! God I'm so sad willing myself to be sick! My boobs are getting a lot more sore though especially yesterday it felt like they were on fire
Fruity I will remind you of your quest for symptoms when your moaning about being sick
Munchie How are you today? Any more bleeding?

GYo · 13/07/2008 13:36

Hi Everyone

Is anyone else starving? I am seriously needing to eat little and often here. But 1hr after a snack I feel like I've not eaten for days!

And Im eating healthily (using strength to avoid chocolate!)

MollieMooma · 13/07/2008 13:43

GYo Yes I find I get full really easily but then I am absolutely starving a little later on, very bizarre! Snap with the healthy eating, currently munching on raw carrot and sugar snap peas fantasising they are covered in chocolate

I'm the opposite of you guys I have no appetite right now. It's not that the food turns me off. I just don't feel the need to eat anything.

dinny · 13/07/2008 14:24

I'm so up and down, feel sick again today, then hungry, then sick

but the thought of most food makes me feel worse!
