Thought I'd get this started so we can try & arrange something before the beanies are born

I think everyone said evenings/weekends were better and probably central London. So we just need a date & an actual place to meet!

I'm ... umm ... a dwarf (well 4'10"). With a bump. Should be easy to spot. Is it the Covent Garden Hotel then? Will try to make it there but if not I'll see you all at Pizza Express.

pixsix · 24/07/2008 21:50

I will meet you in Pizza Express. I'll bring a pen for my card. I'm shortish (5'4") and fattish with a podgy bump. See you all tomorrow!

chutneymary · 25/07/2008 08:21

Really looking forward to meeting you all. Will try to get to CG Hotel but if not, see you at the Pizza Express on Bow street.

I'm 5ft 8, likely to be in jeans (sorry) and a floaty top (brown I expect), fairish hair, bright red nose (bad cold)

Til later!

PinguRocks · 25/07/2008 09:50

I will probably just see you all at Pizza Express. Am quite tall (5' 9") with black shoulder length hair and will be wearing a black dress....

EffiePerine · 25/07/2008 16:55

hotel here (I assume we're meeting in the brasserie bit?)

Am setting off now - might be a bit late for hotel, depending on trains/tubes. Please wait for me!!! I don't have anyone's contact number so not sure what to do if late. Assume people will be at the hotel for an hour or so?

LadyThompson · 25/07/2008 17:00

Brasserie bit fine

Just finishing off at the office

LadyThompson · 25/07/2008 17:00

Thanks LadyT!

rosmerta · 25/07/2008 17:56

Would it be unreasonable of me to leave as soon as dh gets home & take the chance to look round the shops before meeting?

Ladies! I am so sorry not to be able to make it this evening. My babysitter rang this pm and blew me out as one of her own kids is sick, and as DH doesn't get home til at least 8.30, I can't get there before about 9.30 at the earliest.

Clearly, I don't have anyone's number and I was a bit lairy about ringing the restaurant and saying "mary can't make it" in case they cancelled the table altogther as it's in my name. So sorry, was looking forward to it. Hope we can rearrange soon.

LadyT, just seen your number and am texting you now!

Verso · 28/07/2008 19:28

Really sorry you couldn't make it, chutney... we'll just have to get started organising the next one! Count me in on another evening do - but definitely with an early meet up like Friday beforehand.

Verso · 08/08/2008 05:36

As posted on the main thread - does anyone fancy another meet up soonish, with a view to a further one when we all start maternity leave? Just thought it would be nice to get to know each other a bit better - especially for those of us who are having first babies and might want to know there's some familiar support/reassurance about in those first few weeks after the babies come?

rosmerta · 08/08/2008 09:41

Fine with me, I'll post the link on the main thread and get everyone to sign up. Are we going with evenings again?

OP posts:
LadyThompson · 08/08/2008 11:10

September is busy for me. I break up for maternity leave (early, yes) on Friday 12th, then the week following I am going on a driving course and then after that I'm on hols for a fortnight so that takes us into October.

Could do 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th only or else the first week of Sept. But hey, that's just me.

PinguRocks · 08/08/2008 12:20

I'm definitely on for it - evenings are best for me. I wasn't planning on starting maternity leave until after the first week of December....am I being too optimistic?

LadyThompson · 08/08/2008 15:17

No Pingu, my baby will be delivered on the twentysomething of November and I have a lot of things to get done beforehand, hence earlyish maternity leave....I seem to remember yours isn't due until the end of Dec.

kmp1 · 08/08/2008 16:21

Hi all -- I would love to join - any time - Sept is fine with me..... kmp

lal07 · 08/08/2008 18:17

Would also love to join - and have no idea what we're doing in September.

chutneymary · 08/08/2008 19:20

I'd love to meet up - esp as I missed the last one. Evenings best for me as I have the girls in the daytime and if we go out will spend the entire time saying "mummy I want a wee" or dropping food.

How about Fri 12th Sept?

Can do any day that week except Friday 12th!
