Thought I'd get this started so we can try & arrange something before the beanies are born

I think everyone said evenings/weekends were better and probably central London. So we just need a date & an actual place to meet!

Is the 17th happening? I'd missed this on the thread....wondering if I can get a sitter!!! could it be a bit later like the first one? Table at 8pm if possible so that I can get DH home and then get out?

Verso · 09/10/2008 19:41

Hi Oli I think the 17th may be happening... 8pm is fine with me but as I am likely to arrive earlier I could meet ppl for a cup of tea first if anyone wanted to.

LadyThompson · 14/10/2008 17:11

Woss happening with this, then? I am torn between wanting to come and not wanting my time in the country with DP to be cut short as I would normally go on Friday afternoon or evening. Where's the proposed venue?

PinguRocks · 14/10/2008 17:14

I won't be able to make it on Friday (in-laws coming to stay!). I am, however, another south east London dweller so will happily attend any meet-ups round our way....

poisondwarf · 15/10/2008 18:20

Am off work this Fri (hooray!) and would be up for meeting up, even if it's just a small group. Would be great to see you again LadyT but totally understand if you need to see DP.

I could actually do tomorrow night (Thurs) instead if that's any good to anyone, but that's far too short notice for most people I'm sure.

Or should we just leave it for another week? Happy to do that but would be nice to fit in at least a meet-up or two before we start dropping & popping.

Verso · 15/10/2008 19:43

Sorry poison I can't do tomorrow - but could still do Friday unless people want to postpone. I definitely want to meet up at least one more time before the babies start coming!

LadyThompson · 16/10/2008 16:42

I could do early drinks or v early supper, if that's of interest to people? I'd need to leave about 8 though so it would mean meeting about 6. Any takers? On the main thread people are talking about lunch on Nov 19th, which is fine and I am sure I will go, but I am quite keen on evening drinks as a rule.

poisondwarf · 16/10/2008 18:11

Can still do tomorrow although DP is trying to rope me into doing other stuff which I really ought to be doing (so don't mind if we leave it till another time).

Not working tomorrow so can meet any time, afternoon or evening. If Verso is coming along perhaps Victoria is better. Or if there are just 3 of us perhaps we could meet near Verso's work - do I recall correctly that it's W London-ish? Or perhaps near Paddington for you LadyT? As I'm not working I'm happy to schlep wherever (Soho would be the most convenient for me though I have to say).

Oh no and have just seen on the other thread that arti might be coming along (sorry arti, didn't mean it to sound like that but just that I'm too knackered to rewrite what I've just written and I NEED TO GO HOME).

Sorry - not making it any simpler am I? My brain is mush and I'm incapable of making a decision.

Somebody please tell me where & when & I'll be there...

LadyThompson · 16/10/2008 18:17

Arti and Turnip are saying Central London, around 6.30, which I have to admit suits me; not sure if Verso is still up for it or how Central London sits with her - and I will come up with some suggested venues if no one else does later or more likely in the morning.

Verso · 16/10/2008 19:03

6pm or 6:30pm is fine with me. I'll be coming in from Gunnersbury on the District Line. I have to get the train home (to near Sutton) from Victoria, so if anywhere takes too long to get to from there I may pass as I get very tired changing trains and it also means I have to leave stupidly early. Mind you, if you have to leave at 8pm anyway LadyT it might be fine.

Sorry am being v vague!!

poisondwarf · 16/10/2008 19:12

Verso Dean St is in Soho. The number 38 bus goes from Charing X Rd/Shaftesbury Ave to Victoria every couple of minutes if that's of any use - probably takes around 10-15 minutes at that time. I can meet you at 6 no problem.

chutneymary · 16/10/2008 19:30

Am hugely envious as I so want to meet everyone but can't leave DD poorly with a babysitter ... I'll start planning the 19th Nov and hope we can all have a leisurely lunch (with molto food AND some wine) before we are all nappied out.

Have a great time tomorrow girls

JamInMyWellies · 16/10/2008 19:39

Oh feckity feck DS has swimming on a Wed arvo. Do you reckon i could justify missing one so I can come meet you all?

chutneymary · 16/10/2008 19:49

I think so Jam - wine and cake must take priority over chlorine and wet hair in the later stages of pregnancy. Even if said wet hair is not yours. Bring him along and we'll all spoil him. How old is he?

rosmerta · 16/10/2008 21:15

I might be able to do lunch on the 19th if that's ok? Would also have to bring ds though

Verso · 17/10/2008 08:01

Would be great but have just opened my work diary for today (everyone's going mental having realised I have one week left) and I think I'd better pass...

I'll look forward to lunch when things are a bit less fraught though (or an evening thing once I'm not working!)

Hope you all have a fab time.

poisondwarf · 17/10/2008 11:17

Just in case it gets lost on the main thread:

6.30pm tonight at The Heights Bar on 15th Floor of the St Georges Hotel at top of Regent Street. Great views sand comfy sofas. Just go to Oxford Circus tube cross over towards Top Shop and walk to top of Regent Street - and hotel is on the right on corner of Mortimer Street. (link to map on main thread).

JamInMyWellies · 17/10/2008 11:34

chutney you may regret that, he is 17mth and a ball of ferocious noisy energy.

Verso · 02/11/2008 20:35

Are we still doing a lunch? At Clapham? Or was that veto-ed? I'd really like a chance to see you lot before the baby comes - but time's running out (no pressure ). Let me know what's planned...

SummerLightning · 03/11/2008 09:20

I think Beans started a thread in the pregnancy topic.

SummerLightning · 03/11/2008 09:21

It's here

Verso · 03/11/2008 09:37

Thanks, Summer!
