Thought I'd get this started so we can try & arrange something before the beanies are born

I think everyone said evenings/weekends were better and probably central London. So we just need a date & an actual place to meet!

Hi there, Oxfam and the White Ribbon Alliance urgently require 60 pregnant women to bare their bump in a fun 4-minute video to highlight the issue of healthcare for mothers!

60 women die every hour in pregnancy and childbirth in the developing world and we are making a video to highlight this important issue. The video will then be posted onto sites such as You Tube and My Space, to promote awareness before a crucial meeting at the United Nations in New York.

The video will be shot outside on the South Bank on Thursday 18th September at 1pm and will take no more than an hour of your time. We are looking for 60 pregnant women to accompany professional female dancers dressed as pregnant women, who will be dancing to a Fatboy Slim track. No experience is required, just the ability to have a dance in your own style, in your own clothes whilst baring your bump for no more than 4 minutes!

Travelling expenses to the location will be reimbursed and refreshments provided.

Please email Lisa Rutherford on [email protected] to register interest and more details if required.

Typical! I set up a date and I can't now make it because DH has been allocated a parents' evening .

Anyone available the following week? (26th?)

Purple79 · 04/09/2008 09:27

LadyThompson · 05/09/2008 15:14

Beans33 · 05/09/2008 15:49

Victoria has a Wagamamas and a tapas place called La Tasca or something. Alternatively, think there's a pizza express or something around there. Mmm, pizza...

I'm easy with whatever and can be there any time from 6.00 onwards! or later - whatever's best.

LadyThompson · 05/09/2008 16:05

I love both but think tapas might be better as with Wagamamas it can be very noisy and also quite quick, and I think we are better somewhere where we can all sit on a big table.

lowrib · 05/09/2008 18:56

I'm really looking forward to this

I'm easy on time too, and pretty unfussy on food (I am a veggie - but asl ong as there's 1 veggie option I'll be happy - and it's really unusual to find a place that don't cater for veggies at all, these days).

I agree with LadyThomspn, a big table would be great.

I did have a look at www.toptable.co.uk to see if there were any exciting special offers in Victoria, but there weren't unfortunately, and most of the group offers aeems to be based around free drinks!

(If you haven't used it before, have a look next time you're booking a restaurant. It's a great pleasure to eat in nice restaurants knowing you're getting 50% of the bill - special offers are linked from www.toptable.co.uk/feature/?fid=793 )

lowrib · 05/09/2008 18:57

Oh dear my grammar is slipping! Ho hum.

Verso · 06/09/2008 08:26

No, LadyT he can't change it as it's a school parents' evening - he's a secondary school teacher. He only got the date in the first week back at school .

Am reeeeeely that you're all going .

By the way, I think we only agreed on Victoria to suit me - so if you all have somewhere else that's more convenient please feel free to change it for this meet-up!

poisondwarf · 06/09/2008 15:31

Can't make the 19th but quite fancy meeting up soon. Is it too early to start thinking about the next one?

I'd be up for October (not sure about the first weekend though) and could even make 26th September if anybody else was interested...

Verso · 08/09/2008 13:00

I'm free on 26th too if we have any other takers... or October is looking good for me as well.

PinguRocks · 08/09/2008 20:35

I can't do the 26th but otherwise am pretty free....

sunshine185 · 11/09/2008 14:56

i can still do both!

kmp1 · 11/09/2008 17:27

I can do - just need a venue! Pizza Express might be easiest? I don't mind - as long as it's not hard to find!

Verso · 12/09/2008 12:17

26th then - at Pizza Express behind Victoria? Or Ask is nice too - I was there the other week and they do lovely pasta dishes with loads of cheese... mmmmm (yes, it's almost lunchtime )
