Thought I'd get this started so we can try & arrange something before the beanies are born

I think everyone said evenings/weekends were better and probably central London. So we just need a date & an actual place to meet!

I'm up for it - as long as you don't mind my coughs and sneezes and weeping green eye. Mmm nice!

Report

I'm up for it too

Sorry to do this on the day itself but woke up and cold has gone to chest. Am also, truth be told, a bit knackered post-Brussels. Can anyone do next Friday? Or should we make it a Thurs as we all seem worn out by end of week?

EffiePerine · 26/09/2008 09:12

Have to say I'm feeling pretty tired and grumpy as well, so if it were to be postponed that might be better. Can't guarantee things will improve though

Report
poisondwarf · 26/09/2008 10:09

Okay by me if we reschedule. Don't mind when - happy to go with the flow.

I'm still up for tonight if anyone else is? I'd love to meet you all - even if it's just a few at a time!

How about we do tonight and Thursday next week too? What do you think?

Off to IKEA now to choose new kitchen (wish me luck!!) Nesting in full force here ...

Verso & EffiePerine, sorry to hear you're under the weather, hope you're better soon

lowrib if it does end up being postponed tonight, which it is looking like realistically (I for one have now got into pyjamas mode, even though I'm still at work) then do you fancy meeting up with Effie and me tomorrow afternoon if you're free? We will be meeting up at Clissold Park in the afternoon for me to try out a couple of Effie's slings, then I will be going to the toddler pool at Clissold Leisure with my DS (nearly 18 months). Can't remember if you already have any DCs but you're welcome to come along. We are just arranging it on the main thread.

Okay okay I give up on tonight!

poisondwarf, I'd love to meet in Clissold park tomorrow, thanks for the invite

I don't have already have any DCs - this is my first, so I'll probably skip the swimming, but I'm definitely up for tea and a chat.

See you on the other thread when I get back from IKEA ...

Hellooooo,
have just seen messages. Yes, I can still do meet-up tomorrow 2pm - poisondwarf if I CAT you my mobile...

I will bring ring sling, will be wearing jade green murron's pouch sling, and can bring newborn insert (although DH is taking the Ergo with dd so Effie will need to bring hers) - if you like the newborn insert you can have it for a fiver and a cake! I found it ok, but way too hot for July baby.

Oh, and I will bring 10 week old ds - and he is heeeeeavy and big! So perfect for sling trials

Excellent, looks like there could be a few of us tomorrow. 2pm in the playground it is. Have added some pics to my profile today so you can see what I look like (although am considerably rounder now of course).

Thanks for getting back in touch Umlellala - not sure how CAT works but I have checked my email & haven't received anything that I can see. Have asked Effie to bring the Ergo on the other thread.

I think I will probably head to the pool early on then grab a sandwich or something for lunch before 2pm then I don't have to rush off. If anyone fancies meeting up for swimming and/or lunch let me know.

Hello, hoping to meet you all too, I've added DD's profile pics but couldn't find any of me in the ages it's taken to upload these that in any way resemble what I look like now - my hair has grown in direct proportion to my belly and I'm very camera-shy at the moment .

hellooo ot qute sure where Clissold park is, is it in Stokey??? Would love to come but may be a squeeze tomorrow as meeting a friend from back home for lunch then have to get DH down for race registration and well all that and the drive will most likely make my big bump body a bit tired but will see how i go.

otherwise surprisingly i may be in London next thursday (we really don't live in London i swear) and i saw talk of a meet up next thursday so if that is on let me know as may be able to make it.

Hiya Veggiemummy it's in Stokey, by Stoke Newington Church Street / Green Lanes

Just got back from IKEA outing (via a friend's house). Shattered but looking forward to tomorrow.

I can't see your pictures (I can't ever see pictures on mumsnet, I'm not sure why?) so I'll just have to approach people with bumps and hope for the best!

For those meeting at Clissold, I may be a little late as still waiting for DH and DS to get back from their morning jaunt - may be bringing sandwiches with us as I don;t think I'll have time for lunch! Will bring the Ergo, the Wilkinet and the Didymos for trying out. Hopefully there'll be a a few of us so my tardiness won'e be a huge problem

Hope the meet on Sat went well.

As so many of us are laid up on the main thread, shall we try for an evening jaunt in a few weeks' time? How about Fri 17th Oct - 2 weeks this Friday? We might then be able to get another one in before we are confined to base (think LadyT and I are at the front of the queue for our CS, although some of the early Dec girls may beat us to it of course!)

Any takers?

Hi chutney. A few weeks' time sounds sensible to me, though it's depressing how long it's taking me to get over this cold .

I'm looking at the last week in Nov for my c/s (but it's not actually booked yet) as I'm due 4th Dec and have been told it will be scheduled for 39 weeks. Would be fab if we could have two meet-ups before the babies actually start arriving!

sorry couldn't meet at Clissold was actually really close at a friends who lives near emirates stadium but DS was having loads of fun with her son and also had to make our way down to where we were staying with other friends at ST Katherine Docks. Also have decided not to come down to London with DH later in the week so will try to see if i can come down for oct meet up as that is when DH is away and was going to come down to see some friends while he was away anyway.

Oh Verso, it's rubbish isn't it? The pregnant body doesn't seem to shake things off and it's so much harder hauling yourself into work etc when you are pg and ill rather than just ill. Poor old you, hope you are being kind to yourself.

I have felt under the weather for a few weeks now. Not seriously unwell, but just a bit crappy and off song. The life and soul I am not at the moment. But in 2 weeks (or 2 1/2 really as it's only monday) I shall be up for anything.

Shall we tentatively go for the 17th then? It would be great if Veggie were down then too?
