Here it is! A zero morning sickness thread for us all to enjoy!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Dalesgirl · 06/03/2005 09:37

Hello all, another July baby to add to the list. Second child, first one ds aged 3.5 and not very interested in new arrival...lots of friends having babies at present so ds thinks everyone is having a baby! Just had 20w scan and everything is fine, stretch marks just starting (body shop coco buter stick worked a little last time).
One pair of trousers to my name! I hate maternity wear. I also hate celebrity mums, where do they get their stylish maternity wear from? I resemble someone who shops off the worst rack in the charity shop! Anyone vote for 'Katie Price' on Eurovision last night, even if it was just to see her singing 6 months pregnant in Spandex and stacked heels! She is a walking miracle!
Have a lovely Mothers Day all....

AML · 06/03/2005 15:37

Hi all,

Just here to stop me spending more money on ebay. Am now the proud owner of maternity clothes, a pop up travel cot, a pregnancy exercise video and a chiming necklace.
Glad to hear you are all doing well, hope the scan goes OK for those of you waiting. I'm off for mine on Monday morning. They won't tell you the sex here but I don't mind I want it to be a surprise.

I'm thinking of getting a monitor as I get paranoid about baby moving or rather lack of. I'm 20 wks now. When did you all get the first kicks?

I gave her a cheer, despite that dreadful sound mix the whole show had going on. She looked daftly amazing, and brought the first real grin to my face after 36 hours of grizzly heavy head cold.

Back to bed again! xfx

Congratulations to all those who have had good news since i last posted on here and good shopping sprees to those who have been having pregnancy induced - lol - spending frenzies

How are you all feeling?
Im doing ok bump is kicking lots which after earlier scares over molar pregnancies and early bleeding is such a relief. The only problem im having now is with SPD which is already getting very bad and im only 23 weeks.
Have any of you had this before? im really looking for any tips as to how to get off the floor and how to sit on the floor with out getting stuck. Im finding the floor is the easiest place for me to be as the girls can get to me when they need me and im not having to worry about lifing things from there as much (saves bending over which is not nice right now).
Any suggestions

Take care and big hugs to you all for happy health pregnancies

Dalesgirl · 06/03/2005 23:53

Regarding the movement. This 2nd baby has moved a lot less than my first, I am a little concerned about this and am always very relieved when I hear the heart beat on the monitor. The midwife says it's because I am too busy to notice the movements this time round! She may be right.....

Lolasmum · 07/03/2005 11:00

I weighed myself this morning. I've put on 10lbs! I'm 21 weeks. Has anybody else put on this much? Last time I weighed myself (about 2 weeks ago) I'd only put on 3.5. I'm going to have to ration my salt & vinegar crisp intake.

Hello Dalesgirl. Congrats on scan Panda. Good luck to all who are having theres this week. I've still got another fortnight to go.

pinkmama · 07/03/2005 11:49

Hi Everyone. Congratulations on those scans and welcome and congratulations to Dalesgirl.

Lolasmum - think I have put on a stone and I'm only 19 wks, but darent get on scales to prove that! I always put loads on at beginning and then it evens out.

With regard to baby wriggling, I felt my 2nd baby move much later than 1st, but my god when he got going he really made up for it!

I got stretch marks in 1st pg, but dont think I got any new ones in 2nd (no space left).

Impressed by all that shopping!

lovinit · 07/03/2005 12:15

Lolasmum, I am doing better than you on the weight gain ! I am 21 weeks and have put on over 13lbs ! This is good going though as am 4kg lighter the same stage for DD ... Thus, no new stretchmarks as the first time round made sure that I now have bags of room !

I put on a total of 50lbs for DD ! Shocking I think. Any other Mums out there pile it on like I do ?!

Eulalia · 07/03/2005 15:14

Welcome Dalesgirl. There is a separate thread called Due in July - add your stats here I think so feel free to add to that and anyone else here who is new too.

I had an embarrasing moment today. Burst into tears at mums and toddlers. Feeling a bit hormonal and various things going on at the moment. Mothers day wasn't very relaxing for me. Had lunch with mum and my sisters and had to take the kids with me who ran around the restaurant. Tutting from my mother....

I've only put on 5lbs and I am 19 weeks pregnant. I think I am using up all my energy running after my kids!

Baby kicking a fair bit now. I had kicks at 20 weeks with my first, around 18 with 2nd and about the same this time round.

NewandExcited · 08/03/2005 08:29

great news pamina! i find scans incredibly nerve wracking too, and it's worse when they're done in total silence.

my wonderful mother is here this afternoon so i get to sneak off & go swimming while she looks after ds. i reckon i may go off the idea once i put my lovely mothercare swimming costume on though!

pinkmama · 08/03/2005 15:32

Hello NewandExcited, and congratulations.

Good news pamina - dont envy your dh with that hormonal balance in your house over the next few years

Hows your sciatica today HC?

hoxtonchick · 08/03/2005 16:49

better thanks pm as i've been swimming. and ds is very good at putting my shoes on! how's your vv?

merryberry · 08/03/2005 17:31

Hi all, and welcome to newcomers. Had my anomaly scan today (and hit 24 weeks today). I'm very lucky to say everything is normal and fine. Well, as normal and fine as a boy can be! Having always imagined a girl am adjusting very quickly to the idea of lad. And oh the look in him indoors face, he was flushed with happiness. We're back to the drawing board with names though. KNowing it is a boy we've reassessed and are not convinced yet of our choice. See you soon, I'm off proper shopping now I know what's what.

OzJo · 09/03/2005 03:29

Big fat congratulations to all those with happy scans, I loved finding out it was a boy, though can't for the life of me picture what he'll look like. Have pretty much determined on Jacob for the name.
When the fuck was mothers day! I was in the UK this time last year, and it was at the end of March then! I didn't think they moved it around! Bloody useless. When was it? Just so I can say sorry to my poor mum.
My belly button is on the cusp of popping out...anyone else?

whimsy · 09/03/2005 11:22

Congratulations to all those who have had good scans, welcome to all new ladies.
It was mothers day on Sunday Ozjo
Well been to hospital again this morning, Bp a little high for me and a trace of protein
I've now got to go back to see consultant weekly
I thought he said something quite strange today he was writing away and muttered well we need to get you past 24/26 weeks, WTF? I'd like to get a lot further past that thank you very much. Trying to be a lot more positive but when I hear comments like that I find it hard
Hope you are all well anyway and getting big

whimsy · 09/03/2005 11:23

Oops, lots of facial expressions there

Whimsey, did you get my enail ???

MommyD · 10/03/2005 17:11

Congrats to all who have had their scans!
Pamina - another girl, wow - have yet to come across a Mum with two of the same sex who has had the third different - Tessiebear is having her third boy and I fully expect to have a third ds!! Anyone else?
Scan next week at 21 weeks.
Baby is kicking loads - love it!
whimsy - really unhelpful comment by your consultant. I have had a trace of protein in my urine throughout both my previous pregnancies and raised blood pressure. Monitored a bit more closely, but went to term with both.

mirashark · 10/03/2005 21:23

hi all,
Gulp - over half way there now. I am due my first babby on the 14th July - scan and results all Ok thank God. Not finding out what it's going to be, want a surprise but felt like it's a gal since day 1 and had some strangers walking up to me telling me it's girl has only convinced me more, keep telling dp it's a gal so he won't be banking on a boy as I know he'd love one, but of course will love whatever we get! Have a girls name and probly the boy too. It's such a nicer part of pregnancy than the first trimester, I couldn't believe back then anyone had ever said they "loved" being preggers but now it has it's charms - apart from the pick 'n mix ailments of course. And this weeks ailment is...backache.
good luck 2 all of you

BabyDot · 11/03/2005 09:34

Hello All!

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO all is well we are soooo happy. Have been shopping and have been buying pink pink pink he he.

Great to hear all the good news! Congrats to everyone half way!!!!!!!!! We are really getting there girls!

Dalesgirl · 11/03/2005 10:07

Today I am fed up with maternity wear. I am sick of buying trousers that either cut across my bump or sling under it and hang off my backside. I can't seem to find anything that is comfortable and looks nice. I have a Formes shift dress that I 'saved' from last time but it's too damn cold to wear it! Help ladies...where did you get your favourite trousers from? I am seriously drawn to dungarees again!
Also, anyone started wearing their bra in bed yet...boobs going everywhere, everynight!
Halfway cheer to you all....
