Katz, thanks for your email. I have replied but also said I would post on here my suggestion for luch tomorrow. Basically all I suggested was that at lunch we give our doatios to someone, and they send off 1 cheque to Katz, makes it a bit simpler. I'm happy to send a cheque.

Sillysally aka Charley???

530 Holy sh*t. I could not do that. #Bows down in silent hommage to Uwila#
Ideally I like waking up at 730, which generally happens at the w/e. I find that, it doesn't really matter what time I go to bed, it's the other end that affects me i.e. getting up beofre 7, I am shattered, getting up after 7 I am ok.

Welshie, I have used Night-a-mins in the past, it's gorgeous. I used the lotion, but I think they have a more creamy version too. I tend not to stick with things though, being a cosmetic junkie and an advertisers dream. Thanks for reminding me of it though, I may go back.

Ah, so Charley is leading a dounble life..... wonder what else we don't know?

By doing 5 if you were asking me if I work 5 days a week, yes I do. (anyone got a violin?)

But, I'm working on making that a four day week, ten hours a day after mat leave so I can still get full time pay (for 40 hour week) and have every Friday off.

cornflakegirl · 01/02/2005 13:37

9.30 would be wonderful!

thanks for the welcome, everyone should 'fess up now - 'tis dh not me who is the tori fan. he thinks the first line of the song sounds like "emma was a cornflake girl" - emma being my real name - and it stuck

congrats on the scan, mrs w - and on holding out

i had a doppler scan this morning - they wanted to check blood flow in the placenta because my afp level was high. strange experience. my first scan was lovely - all "that's it's arm, and you can see it's yawning" etc etc - but my detailed scan and this morning's were just the consultant staring at the screen, making notes, and then eventually telling us he couldn't see anything unusual. not that i'm complaining - i'm just so relieved they haven't found anything...

Oh yeah, re taking vit E orally rather than in products. Do you suppose that is recommended during pregnancy? I guess it will say on the box and depend on the level.

Lippy/Uwila - PLEASE don't ask!

Uwila · 01/02/2005 13:43

I think I already know -- but I won't tell your secret.

charleypops · 01/02/2005 13:43

I am MAGENTA!

welshmum · 01/02/2005 13:43

Lippy - I took it religiously for years and then stopped when pg with dd - but can't remember if I bothered checking before I stopped iykwim, just stopped most things.
Uwila - I can recommend 4 days - if you can swing it.
Hello cornflake girl - welcome from me too - I think I neglected to say hello when you first appeared, glad everything is ok with your scan

charleypops · 01/02/2005 13:46

Who else thinks it's time for a new thread then!! Shall I do one now??

welshmum · 01/02/2005 13:48

Yes please but charley....what are you up to?

Uwila · 01/02/2005 13:49

Welshie,
I am in the process of submitting a formal flexible working request. The company I work for, until recently, offered AWW (Alternate Work Week) to everyone. That means if you worked the hours ahead of time, you could take every other Friday off. One of the big guys (probably the new CEO) in Houston decided we couldn't do that anymore. Why, I don't know because you had to work your time first. But, it was cancelled and everyone is rather unhappy about it. So, anyone, I felt like a bit payback was in order. So I've decided to get him back by requesting EVERY Friday off. And, as we all know, here in the UK they must consider the request. And as I can't forsee a single impact to my work, I expect it to be approved. AND, once it is approved, it is permanent. They can't take it back (and neither can I).

LipstickMum · 01/02/2005 13:49

Yeah, and check your spelling before you post, not like the person who started this thread
And what are we not allowed to ask??? You lost me

charley - i'd read your pseudonym posts before - couldn't work out why you needed a fake name - thought they were highly sensible questions!

charleypops · 01/02/2005 13:50

Nothing honest x

How do you feel today Welshie? Better than yesterday I hope!

Right I'll post thread 6 now - 5 went quickly didn't it?

Uwila · 01/02/2005 13:52

Can we still call it "Due in Jue"? It's got a such a nice rhyme to it.

charleypops · 01/02/2005 13:54

Oops - Sorry - We can have a Jue thread 7

Please stay lost Lippy - seriously, it'll be for the best

See y'all on the new thread....

Uwila · 01/02/2005 13:58

Oh you've spoiled the alphabetical sorting of the Due in Ju(n)e threads.

And, what's with "y'all" I'm not back in Texas, am I. Oh God please say I'm not!!

Ok ok, last post on this one...
