Hello Ladies - I am sorry but also strangely comforted that I am not the only one feeling massive, uncomfortable and knackered - especially today as I am feeling particularly rough - but this is us moving swiftly out of 'Blooming' and headlong into the third trimester!!

I am feeling particularly rough today, nauseous, heartburn, aching legs, HEADACHE GRRRR (sorry didn't mean to go into caps. Anyway have to put children to bed (dh is late not sure when he is going to be home) - and I fully expect to fall asleep once (possibly before) the children are asleep. Have to miss 'Come dine with me' tonight then oh well

accessorizequeen · 03/07/2008 20:21

pp, I'd rather stop thinking about my enormous weight gain too so shutting up now

bethoo, things with your mum must make things really hard but I seriously doubt you'll turn out the same with your dd - just thinking of what kind of mum you want to be means less likely to make the same mistakes. And yes, I'm waking up 2-3 times a night peeing now, fairly sure it's pg & not a uti!

Anyone else with leg cramps, I go to sleep fearful every night I'll be woken in agony arggggh. The oven tray helps, but dp has me doing stretches b4 I go to bed so they're happening less ofen. I can handle the rest, but they are absolutely awful! Although I do find the constant heartburn (no matter what or how often I eat) pretty tedious!

hedgepig · 03/07/2008 20:31

evening. I feel better to that I'm not alone in feeling rough. I had to have a day of work today cos I felt so exhausted. I just can't seem tolerate the heat at all. Heres to a wet summer cool girls

Sallypuss · 03/07/2008 21:04

accessorizequeen know what you mean about the leg cramps but am flummoxed by your mention of the oven tray(????). I usually just stumble out of bed to go and stand on the cold bathroom floor 'till it goes away.

Is anyone else experiencing people staring at them? It's very odd. Some chap at work couldn't stop staring at my stomach when I emerged out of my office the other day - felt like asking him if he'd seen a pregnant woman before but just smiled pitifully at him instead! Also had people staring at me in the street - perhaps I'm being paranoid but don't think it's my dress sense/make up/ bogey on my face or anything...weird!

sambrads · 03/07/2008 22:02

hi everyone bethoo i understand totally about mums my mum is a real bitch we dont see eye to eye at all she even tells me she prefers my sister to me its so obvious to see but she wanted me to know for certain!!!

as for sex well i can say i have totally went off it

i have a sore abck and hip and thats before i even think of doing anything

accessorizequeen · 03/07/2008 22:09

sallypuss, oven tray does same thing as cold bathroom floor (keep it under the bed!)
People staring at me a LOT today but then I'm having twins & figure I'm huge, good to know not just me. I've got used to it with 3rd pg, although the old ladies are so sweet asking me how I am etc.

I cannot imagine this kind of rel. with my mum, I would be heartbroken! DP hasn't spoken to his dad for about a decade though.

sex spoon style is not tiring or painful at all , I don't do anything

hansnava · 03/07/2008 23:14

hello all

every day im shocked by how different this pregnancy is to my 1st one.

i had loads of energy during my 2nd trimester last time, this time im totally knackered and my newest pain in the arse is heartburn ive never had it before (pg or not) now ive taken to sleeping with a bottle of gaviscon on my bedside table lol.

im soooo of you all that are still having lots of sex ive just completely gone off of it, to the point where i sometimes dread poor dp coming to bed. i hope things go back to normal soon.

bethoo · 04/07/2008 00:07

hansnava the best thing to do is pretend to be asleep when your dh comes to bed!

doubt i will be having sex tonight now as absolutely shattered and dp has managed to get me wireless so as of tomorrow i will be mn in bed!

well must drag myself away so speak tomorrow ladies. goodnight

perkypopsy · 04/07/2008 13:19

Yes to cramps, heartburn and people staring at my belly (mostly men - weirdos!!!)

bethoo · 04/07/2008 15:37

some men have a fetich for pregnant ladies you know.
and others just find it subconsciously attractive as it shows we are healthy and fertile!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/07/2008 17:12

Another one here feeling very tired this week, and very achy (groin which is how my spd started last time, and head). Also had heartburn a couple of times this week.

Also disorganised re new baby. Haven't got stuff out of loft to sort for neutral stuff, so don't even know what we need.

Building work starting on Monday (not getting conservatory in the end, as quotes came in at double what we'd been led to expect), and supposed to take 12-14 weeks, which is not good when we only have 10-12! Hopefully they can get ahead of schedule .

No-one staring as it's not obvious that I'm pregnant yet.

hedgepig · 04/07/2008 17:39

CSWS at least you have been organized enough to get building work stated! we keep mumbling that we will have to do something like move or extend but then we never get anything done.

jenwa · 04/07/2008 19:31

Sex, what is it? I have not hardly seen my DH, he has been travelling about getting stuff to convert loft and when I see him we both shattered! Mind you, I would rather loft converted than have sex at mo, if you all suffering with achy bits there is really no point Maybe will try before baby arrives!!!!

My teeth went very sensitive in the last pg but this time they have been OK - touch wood.

Emmsy1 · 05/07/2008 08:11

No my teeth are ok, do have quiet a bit of bleeding though when I clean them.
I had leg cramps last night as usual, but seem to be waking up after a few hours asleep very achy, almost everywhere, feel like I have been beaten up! even lungs seems sore when I first wake up, but once I have been sitting up for a while I feel ok, starting to hate going to sleep as know I will wake in discomfort. Maybe DH is giving me a few digs in the middle of the night!

bethoo · 05/07/2008 11:02

i thought that those awful leg cramps is a sign of a deficiency like potassium, eat bananas.
myjobismum best get teeth checked as pregnancy can cause tooth loss. i have seen may girls wiht many teeth missing and have babies though alot of it is bad hygiene, not saying that is you. better go before dig big hole!
off to get hair trimmed as neglected it this year and the splits are on every hair!!! it doesnt seem t grow past my shoulders! wanted long flowing locks again!

hansnava · 05/07/2008 11:14

HELLO

emmsy1 i was the same when pg with dd. i dreaded going bed at night coz i knew waking up would be agony. i had bad spd with her so it would be agony rolling over to get up, then for some reason my feet really hurt first thing in the morning to point where i grit my teeth when first standing on them.

word of advise for those with leg cramps. if ne one suggests u use arnica gel for them DONT. my mum told me to use it and it made them ten times worse

mybabysinthegarden · 05/07/2008 14:42

Hey all you complainers about the heat! Are you happy now? (Scowls out the window at pouring rain.)

Has anyone found a comfy way of sleeping? Managed fine the first time with a barricade of pillows but this time around waking up with creaking joints, extremities asleep etc. Seriously considering buying some kind of pg sleeping aid bump pad, giant long pillow etc. has anyone used any of these with any success?

Emmsy1 · 05/07/2008 15:36

Hi Hansnava have you got spd again? I hope not, I believe it's supposed to be really painful. I think the bad sleep I'm getting is what's making me so tired the next day, wish DS would stay out of my bed, he really is adding to the problem. I carry him back to his own bed a couple of times a night but he always makes it back Tried to offer him treats for staying in his own bed but as he's only 3 he can't be tempted yet!
MBITG I haven't found a comfy way to sleep, am in agony no matter which way I try,I should really try investing in one of those pregnancy pillows, has any one else tried them? or are they just an other ploy to con pregnant women out of more money

hansnava · 05/07/2008 17:44

emmsy1 hi. ive just started to get it again so its not too bad at the minute.
its funny reading ur post because u sound just like me. half my problem is dd getting into our bed half way through the night which doesnt help when dp takes up 3/4 of the bed himself. i wake up every morning soaked where im squashed between the two of them.

mbitg the only way i can get comfy is by stacking up my pillows then having my mothercare v shaped pillow on them so i can lay in the middle of pillow so one side on my back and the other is against my bump, then having a cushion between my legs. most attractive

Emmsy1 · 05/07/2008 19:12

Hansnava My Ds get's in the middle, he won't go on the end, he's too scared, so at least I'm not soaking it's quite the opposite, he kicks the duvet off, so am always a bit on the chilly side, DH has started snoring really loud lately (or maybe because I'm not sleeping too well that I notice it now!)I had to hit his head the other night to try to stop him, it worked for a little while I usually have a folded pillow between my knees to make myself a little comfier, may get one of the v pillows(if there not too expensive)
