thanks Smudgey as was getting concerned it was clots or something terrifying!
has anyone elses sex drive hit the roof? we are at it as if we are ttc! no change then really now i think about it! reallymust be careful next year otherwise this could happen all over again! may considerthe pil, not been on it for about 8 years.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 02/07/2008 13:37

hey girls - been ages since i've been on (feels like ti anyway with a load of catching up to trawl through)

bethoo - i've been getting stiches loads too, makes me feel like a completely unfit fat cow but apparently it's all fine

sallypuss you're braver than me - I asked a few times in my 1st trimester when I kept fainting on crowded trains, now I just stroke my belly really obviously until someone offers me a seat!

DH has had a horrid week at work and is now desperate to know sex of spudlet - so he's peeked into the envelope but I haven't! thought I'd be jealous but I guess I want the suprise soooooo much, and actually it's really nice that he has this little "secret" he shares with the baby....it's helped him bond again and he's gotten all excited and is going to hit the sales for sumemr clothes for next year, bless him....weird but seems to work for us so far

jenwa · 02/07/2008 13:52

bethoo smiling at you! You naughty lady!!! Well maybe thats why its painful as when you see each other sparks fly etc, I think when youve been married for 6 yrs you cant be arsed, well at least I cant at the moment. DH busy working then comes home to work in the attic and I am looking like a beach whale!
Although have felt up for it more recently but DD went to A&E and DH went out with friends or we just have not had chance! Maybe tonights the night

bethoo · 02/07/2008 13:56

jenwa we did it last night and this morning i woke at 545 feeling horny so started without him but he soon woke up! i am such a deviant! he seems to last longer in the morning!

perkypopsy · 02/07/2008 14:14

Hi Everyone, just taken me half an hour to catch up on the posts - so fab hearing all your stories cos i could write exactly the same thing myself - phew!
Have just realised I'll have 12 weeks to go as of Monday - CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS ME!!!

Am getting nervous about the birth - went to see another hospital to look at midwife run unit - and to the Lister to see what it was like - far TMI for me - lots of ladies lying on hospital beds looking like they had just been run over by a truck and DHs looking the same and tiny babies....oh god am hyperventilating now just thinking about it. The delivery suites look like bloody torture chambers - never could see why women wanted home births but now I defo can ...though am a wuss so still going to the hozzy.

Lozza I too am getting the "oh my god you're huge" "must be due any day now" "is it twins" comments - I am short so am hoping that is why i look relatively humongous . I don't commute to work but am fidning it harder to walk around - pelvis in painful and then hips start to ache then get those tight pains accross my belly - all in all not a very pleasant experience but keep trying as am aware am turning into a complete bloater...

We thought I was having a boy but past few weeks have changed my mind - my bump is broader and squarer then it used to be - not the football shape my friends with boys had. I remember first time I considered it might be a girl after all and it felt like my bump answered me and said yes thank god you have realised - okay i sounds like a complete nutter but was really strange

pistachio and BMSA My braxton hicks are getting more regular and noticeable - now I know what they are - If i lie on the sofa at night they come once every 15/20 minutes - very bizarre though luckily not painful - am just glad my body is putting the practise in for the big push . emmsy* looks like my suspicions of having a pink one are founded then...

Am getting much more tired at work now - can't believe have 10 more weeks to go...am going to be totally useless by then but am determined to keep going so I earn enough money for a decent length of time off.

minnerva and ronny waxing issues here too - can't see anything and had got really lazy and started shaving but can't do that now - going to book myself in for a whole body de-fuzz - am disgusting!

Right better do some work I suppose

p.s. bethoo what is going on with your mum? Very of your bedroom antics - poor DH is being VERY patient these days

Emmsy1 · 02/07/2008 14:37

perkyp I had Braxton Hicks so strong with previous DD that I thought I was going into labour, I am already having them regularly and am only 23+6. I didn't get them with any of my boys could be just coincidence though. Do you and your man want a boy?

perkypopsy · 02/07/2008 15:57

I always wanted a girl but then right from start thought this was a boy and was chuffed about it - then last week thought uh oh is a girl - ha ha am going to be guessing till the very end (DH says not fussed though at start think he wanted a boy)

mum2jakeyroo · 02/07/2008 16:50

Hi everyone. I am so tired at the minute. Fell asleep for 30 mins this afternoon with ds2 while ds1 was colouring next to me. Poor neglected thing. Only 15 weeks(ish) to go and I am no where near ready. Am dreading it this time as hospital is 40 mins away. My parents live 70 miles away and have no idea what I am going to do with 2DS's. Glad everyone else is doing well

star6 · 02/07/2008 20:37

mum2jakeyroo - I'm suddenly exhausted, too!! And I don't have other children!!
I felt fine for weeks and now, at 25 weeks, I've come home every day and taken a 2 hour nap, then got up ate dinner, then to bed for the night.. I'm on my way back to bed in about 20 minutes. I feel like I'm back in the 1st trimester.

Lozza70 · 02/07/2008 20:46

The tiredness has been hitting me in the last 2 weeks as well. Cannot do anything about it in the day, work is crazy at the moment with days where I'm in meetings from 8am to 6.30pm, but I am Mrs Boring at the weekend and have to have a sleep in the afternoon. On Sunday I thought I had only closed my eyes for 20 mins but I had been flat out for over 3 hours on the sofa

perkypopsy my mum has severe issues! i have decided not to visit her again since what is the point when she does not even look at me let alone not talk to me! she tries to undermine everything i do with Hayden. she blatantly implies i am a bad mother. but then i am always on the defence around her so may just be too sensitive to her criticisms comments.

i too am napping in the afternoon after work, luckily ds does not sleep at child minders so he sleeps on my bed with me.

Emmsy1 · 02/07/2008 22:25

MJIM You are starting to feel like a whale?? I was approx 9st 6lb when I first got pregnant (had put weight on over xmas & didn't lose it before I got my bfp)I am only 5'3" I now weigh 11 Stone and am only 23wks+6 Really wish I looked like your skinny whale rather than my fat one!
Glad others are starting to feel tired again, thought there was something wrong with me, wasn't expecting to be so tired this early!

Jambers99 · 03/07/2008 12:23

Blimey, am feeling really disorganised, haven't done anything at all to prepare for new baby yet, and we've got loads to do. Most urgent is to clear out the spare room, and buy new cotbed & chest of drawers for DS so that new baby can have his room.

Mum2JakeyRoo, I'm also panicking about what to do with DS while I'm actually giving birth. Hospital is 20-30 minutes away, parents live 70 miles away, and birth with DS was pretty quick so am worried I won't have time for Mum to get to us & me get to hospital before DD is born. Am really hoping that DD arrives while DS is at nursery then I don't have to worry about childcare, but guess I can't rely on that!

myjobismum you are so healthy I have just scoffed coconut macaroons (do they count as a fruit??) and pringles.
I'm really tired today I can hardly stay awake.

mum2jakeyroo · 03/07/2008 14:40

Jambers - With ds2 I lived near dp's family so they were going to have ds1 and we lived near to hospital but ended up being induced so he stopped with gp's for a couple of day's but we have moved since and am worried as you read that 3rd labours can be fast.

rosebury · 03/07/2008 14:45

Afternoon everyone not been on for a few days and not fully caught uo yet but now feeling so relieved because i thought that things may be starting to go wrong but I now feel reassured. My bump is massive my feet and hands are swelling I am finding it hard to walk anywhere because it is so uncomfortable with the tightening in the lower bump area. When I go out now I target an old doddery person and pace myself behind them, it does work.

For the past two days I have also had washing lines full of baby clothes and bedding it looks lovely and smells so fresh it is so funny that we are all doing the same things at the same time.

Bethoo sex is fab but usually end up on all fours doggy style and usually cannot move afterwards as the belly is so tight I really am starting to miss the missionary position and the closeness from that position but there is certainly no chance of that until maybe November.

I am going to try and catch up now with the pages that I have missed see you all later.

rosebury · 03/07/2008 15:13

Right I am back now have caught up and know exactly what you are talking about Bethoo. I have tried it all ways and even if you keep it calm and slow you still end up in pain i see it as good for my muscles i HOPE IT IS ANYWAY.

perkypopsy · 03/07/2008 16:40

Sounds like we are all getting tired again - I told DH last night that he might as well go out as much as possible before minipops comes but that I am going to be lying on the sofa recovering from work evenings and weekends - just don't have the stamina anymore - people at work keep telling me to go and sit down and getting stuff for me - felt like an idiot to bgin with then realised is BLISS!

bethoo Poor you - that sounds shit - I am always trying hard with my family but they are all pretty crazy high-spirited and I end up looking forward to coming home to our peaceful little life. I decided to take the bull by the horns and call my step mum last night - she never rings me - and I was starting to think I'd just stop bothering but somehow she is the only link left of my dad so I need to keep contact even though I am a bit p*ssed off that she hasn't made a single effort to contact me since the BFP [frustrated emoticon].

p.s. Can we all stop talking about weight gain - I have a horrid feeling I started it but now I keep reading about all you skinsters and feeling MAHOOOOOSIVE - particularly when you are the same height as me

bethoo · 03/07/2008 16:58

tmi but i will try all fours tonight
House is on exciting episode. please someone tell me they watch it!!!
have been at home today as child minders baby had a rash so went to drs who said it could either be:
viral infection
heat rash
german measles

i mean how different could they be? she was told to avoid pregnant people but surely i am ok as had rubella and been checked that got antibodies and ds has had his MMR so not concerned really. been catching up on sleep today whic his nice but have to drag myself up when Hayden awakes to fill him with junk food entertain him!

Perky seriously worry about turning out like her, all bitter. that is why i was so freaked on finding out i was having a girl you know the daying history repeating itself.

bethoo · 03/07/2008 17:24

has anyone else noticed the increase in gong for a wee these days? i find that when i need one esp when i wake in the night it is quite achey pain, a must go now or will not make it later type. or is it just me? prob got a UTI if so!

perkypopsy · 03/07/2008 17:59

me too bethoo - makes bump ache if full bladder but often don't know til halfway across work car park doh! Am watching house - so fab - even foregoing criminal justice for it
