Good news Jambers!

Thanks for the info wherestheaupair. I'm going to look into your friend's courses.

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/06/2008 20:16

Fab news Jambers .

WheresTheAuPair · 23/06/2008 20:22

Jambers- great news-its such a relief when scans go well

BigMouthStrikesagain- i can totally sympathise with you- i feel humungous and can't believe i've got another 16 weeks to go (actually sounds quite good put like that . each day is becoming a wardrobe challenge!

Ekka · 23/06/2008 20:48

Great news Jambers and glad to hear that its not changed sex between scans either!

Twinklytoes - planned homebirth isn't that bad (did it last time with dd and planning it again this time round if all goes well). And its got to be better than being transferred to a hospital miles away - can't imagine how stressful that would be! Still, I was told last June that summer was a really busy time at our local maternity ward so maybe October won't be so bad (though judging by the size of this thread things will be pretty busy )

jenwa · 23/06/2008 20:57

jambers good news on scan, bet you feeling better.

I am eating loads, anyone else feeling really hungry???? food....mmmmmmm

07mumstheword · 23/06/2008 21:18

Jambers Brilliant news

FranMum2B · 23/06/2008 21:35

hey girls,

back from holidays in France, very relaxing and definitely recommended,

great to hear so many good scans....itching now to find out sex, but will try and hold out...apparently i'm 'low lying' so I'm going to have a boy...dunno about low...definitely getting huge, me too very hungry...all of the time, was expecting to see a bar of dairymilk on my ultrasound scan!!

Feeling focused now to sorting out necessary purchses, thinking of getting LOOLA buggy by bebe confort has anyone used one or heard anything about them - need lightweight, easy to store and with car seat clip on option

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/06/2008 11:40

great news jambers, really pleased for you....

jenwa i am eating for england, just can;t keep my hands off brownies and cakes

Can I join in? I'm due with my second, (most likely a ds) at the end of October. Haven't really 'noticed' this pregnancy as much as the first, except got hit with the twin pregnancy delights of leg cramps and, er, slower digestive transit this morning.

(Am I really introducing myself on a thread by talking about my intestines? Why yes I am [hits 'post'])

star6 · 24/06/2008 20:27

So, I've had a 12 week and a 21 week scan... are there any more to come or is that it?
I'm in the southeast (kingston upon thames) if that helps.

Star6, sorry love but thats it until October for us all now. Unless you are lucky like CSWS and are having private 4d scan..

Mybabysinthegarden, welcome aboard the merry ship that is October. Don't worry too much about TMI, we are all good at sharing.

I am having a problem with DH. Nothing to major just that we are trying to sell our house and it isnt going anywhere soon. We need to move for 2 reasons,
1, to make sure DD2 gets into the same school as DD1 (we lied to get DD1 in which will not work now!)
2, we need another bedroom as bedrooms we have now are not big enough to share for any of us.
Poor baby will be sleeping in the garden at this rate.
The issue I have is that DH really isnt taking it seriously, he laughs when I say it is beginning to get me upset that I dont know where I will have my baby etc.
Am I being an over emotional pregnant lady or are my fears reasonable? Please help because I dont know whether to make this a big issue or not.

I hope everyone else is making the most of the sunshine.

Ronshar - it's Sambrads having the private 4d scan, not me! I do get scans every 4 weeks because of the GD though. Next one a week on Monday iirc.

Welcome mbitg .

ronshar · 24/06/2008 20:54

Oh no Knickers, thank you, I really only wanted to see if I was turning into that which I most fear- a mad hormonal pregnant lady.
I am just so frustrated that he thinks its funny. Now I am unable to have a rational discussion about it all with getting all tearful. Most unlike me. He just makes me feal silly. I dont think he means to. I am normally really strong and take everything in my stride. I dont like to show people if I am hurting, a fear of weakness. I think he would probably be really surprised if I told him how strongly I feel about it all!! Oh well we shall have to wait and see.

ronshar · 24/06/2008 20:55

Bugger I thought it was you. See it is happening I am going mad.
Are you back from your hols? How was the trip?

No, still there. Last time of logging on probably until we return on Friday.

ronshar · 24/06/2008 21:23

My DH is in France at the moment. He said it was baking hot! Is it nice and hot where you are? Staying with his mummy. Lucky bugger he gets treated like a king when he is there. He is in for a surprise when he gets home. I think I may go on strike. See how funny it is then will we.

accessorizequeen · 24/06/2008 22:30

welcome mybaby I sympathise with the leg cramps, urggghh! Do you have dd or ds already?

ronshar, sympathies too, have had same issues with dp about various things like this. Just doesn't get it, thinks making a joke will help defuse things but makes it worse etc etc. If we can't get past this now, I write him a letter or email him so that I can be calm and reasonable about it all and not be bursting into tears and getting more emotional. Could you try that? We're doing all baby names and garden decisions via email/text/bits of paper at present so we don't argue and it does work!

emkay · 24/06/2008 23:10

Ronshar - we have just moved house and I never thought it would happen. All the way through DP has been very laid back which was sometimes helpful because I was spinning into orbit and sometimes deeply not... he seemed to always look on the bright (and unrealistic) side! But we did get there in the end - it is such a difficult time to have to move so you are absolutely right to have concerns and it is not just because you are hormonal and pregnant. Are there any other friends or family members who can help out? DP's sisters were very good at giving him a kick up the bum!

sambrads · 25/06/2008 10:40

hello ladie show are you all?

my 4d scan is tonight i so cant wait it will be brill!!!!!

i love the thought of meeting my wee darling we will be able to tell who she looks like

[franmum] i have the loola i love it so much i do agree the buggy can be a bit heavy but its definately worth it .
i will need a twin pram as my ds will only be 2 when the babay is born but when me and dh are out together i will be putting the baby in the loola and dh can push ds in his pram

the car seat is fabulous as well

bigmouthstrikesagain · 25/06/2008 11:24

Ronshar I sympathise with your situation - we ended up moving 6 weeks before i had dd. From a one bed flat to a 4 bed house - but at times I thought it wasn't going to happen. However as I was not working - ds was only 11m when I got pg again and I decided not to go back to work - I was the main mover and shaker in the whole process. By the end I was ringing up solicitor/ agents on a daily basis to get arses into gear!

If it was up to dh it wouldn't have happened - no offence to him he was just too busy earning the household income. I was highly motivated to move as you can imagine so I made it so - if you are in a position to be the facilitator of the house move then go for it! Good luck.

Looking forward to hearing the bumps heartbeat this afternoon at my 24 week appt. I am not looking forward to the 28wk one so much as I ave to have Anti-D injection - iirc it is a biggish needle. Anyone else an O neg?
