Hi justjules welcome to this wonderfull thread of fab women.

Peanut, Loving the name Charlie. That is what we have picked for a boy..

Minkus · 26/05/2008 22:24

Huge congratulations Peanut and Luke, hope the next few weeks whilst your preious ds is gaining strength in the hospital are straightforward and that you fare well yourselves.

Hello JustJules, welcome and that your hardships are having a happy ending.

Welcome back Kaz we've all missed you!

Nothing to report here apart from monster BH's all day! Just can't wait to meet this baby and found whether ds will have a brother or sister, with him I had such a strong feeling that he was a boy but not a clue with this one!

Poledra · 26/05/2008 22:34

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Peanut, and welcome to the baby! Can;t believe that's the first of the babies here - what a great weight for a premmie too. When I had dd2, there was a LO on the ward who was born full-term and still only weighed a couple of ounces more than that. Charlie, BTW, is the name of the most chilled, delightful little boy I know, so good precedent there!

Hi Jules - glad you feel you can join us now.

Libra, you and me both on the ML - shall we meet for a virtual drink on the evening of the 20th?? Don't want the baby to arrive on 21st though, as I have absolutely nothing ready yet. The beginning of July would be good though...

Rumpel, thanks for the good wishes - he is still doing my head in sometimes but I'm just getting by it at the moment. I mean, I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon, he was on the other sofa doing something on his laptop and the dds were playing around. At one point I vaguely heard dd2 saying'Mummy sleeping' and DH said 'Yes, Mummy's sleeping, leave her alone'. Next thing I get is dd2 banging her hands on my backside saying 'Wake up Mummy!' DH is like, well, it's not my fault, I did tell her to leave you alone. Well yes, but would it have killed him to get up and stop her from waking me?? Oh, I know it seems is petty, but it just gets to me sometimes. I'm not usually this snippy, and I think that is what's the matter - he can't understand why it upsets me because usually it wouldn't.

Ooops, sorry, this has turned into a moan again. Best go get something to eat and then go to bed. Sweet dreams everyone!

disneystar · 26/05/2008 22:40

JODIEhavingababy · 27/05/2008 08:31

Morning all,

Welcome JustJules and congratulations on your pregnancy! Nearly there now!

I still can't quite get over the fact we've had our first baby.... That big ball of emotion gets me everytime I think of the Peanut family! Hope your all OK today?

Twinkle hope everything is OK, sending you good strong sticking vibes!

Kaz welcome back! we've missed you.. I for one was starting to get worried, I know you haven't been feeling great recently! Glad everything is going OK with the exams and moving! You must be mad!

SK Thanks for the heads up over the weekend about the Tesco Promo codes on here, I too saved £13.00 last night on my delivery! I think my DH now thinks that MN is good for something!

I've had a good weekend, apart from a Really bad attack of SPD, My fault for 'doing too much' (How often has THAT been said on here by everyone!) but seems to have calmed down now, I really feel for those who have suffered badly at the hands of it throughout! Ouch! I have this week off work so yesterday I Sugar Soaped down ALL the woodwork in the house and painted ALL of the window ledges! today I'm doing the doors while DS is at nursery! DH has put the wood floor down in the nursery and I've now ordered the wardrobe, it should be coming next week, so it's all starting to take shape! Disney Tjuice I'm with you, I can't wait to cuddle my baby, I want him here and now (But quite happy to wait another 4 weeks thank you very much!) I can't quite believe I'm 33 weeks today! Where has time gone?

As for the I-Pod list, with my last pregancy the local Midwife Unit was being shut down and moved, so they were desperatly fundraising for new bits and bobs, so I put together a 'birthing' playlist, 150 songs, and sold them to friends and family for a pound a go, the winner was the one who chose the song that DS was born too! (It was The Masterplan by Oasis) I had loads of tongue in cheek ones on there, but the funniest moment must have been when the midwife announced that he had started to crown, the song that was playing was 'I'm Coming Out' by Diana Ross!!!!

I'll stop rambling now! Off to paint some doors... Have a good day ladies (and Hubarb)

MINNIE1 · 27/05/2008 08:48

Hugs Twinkle,
Hope lo's hang in there so fingers X they will.. Rest as much as you can hun.. thinking of you..

Jodie
Emmm Paint i go into over drive with it, Feel the need to paint now and just dont have the time with DD's.. But i painted bathroom with DD2 2 days b4 i went into have her.. It just had to be done!! and no one eles could do it but me..

Hope you all are well, weather here is cold and i'd say rain is on the way.. Going to bring DD's into a toy shop for a treat... god help me

mummypig · 27/05/2008 08:53

Hi everyone, have popped in to check hospital bag list . Sweetkitty I know if I went into labour now I would have to go to hospital, but my midwives notes say to gather stuff 3-4 weeks in advance so hopefully if it's 37 or even 36 weeks they will let me labour at home. I was reading over my notes from last time and 2 days before ds2 was born there was no sign anything was about to happen. His head was still 2/5 palpable at the start of labour. So I feel like it could all happen any time!

Bebejones I have a large 'Hippychick' mattress protector on my bed. It's brushed cotton with a layer of breathable but waterproof polyurethane in the middle. It doesn't stretch as far as the edges but hopefully covers all the bits I might leak on. Far more expensive, but less sweaty, than the plastic versions. And great for nighttime bedwetting later on (which both my boys do regularly).
hippychick mattress protector

tjuice last time I went to antenatal yoga it was quite painful getting up and down from the floor, and I had blocked sinuses so any head movements were painful too . I had to miss out a few poses or do them with legs only a little apart It's frustrating not being able to do as much as previously. I think it still helped my pelvic area though.

Poledra my dp is generally pretty helpful but he can be like that when I'm trying to have a nap. He often sleeps during the day at weekends, and I will do everything to stop the boys disturbing him, and let him have as much sleep as he needs. However if I'm in bed or on the sofa they sometimes seem to come and pester me so much it's hardly worth pretending to sleep. I shouldn't grumble too much though, yesterday I slept in until about 10 am . And he's booked an extra day's holiday today so I have a bit more help with the kids this half-term. Not sure what we're going to do yet - the weather is supposed to be better than yesterday but the sky still looks quite grey.

libralady, shame you're missing your massage, could you do a deal where your dh looks after the kids for you to let you have one sometime soon?

pigleychez · 27/05/2008 08:58

Morning all!

Im with you on the painting.. im a first timer but suddenly found myself redecorating our bedroom. Bought new bed and mattress yesterday and now decided to paint the room. Crazy.

Welcome to justjules

Twinkle- Hang on to those twins for a little bit longer

Plans for today- waiting in for a guy whos coming to change the gas meter so some washing, tidying then might even make a start on the painting!

Thepuddingchef · 27/05/2008 09:53

Hello everybody,
I haven't been on in weeks, but just had this urge(and time) to catch up on what you've all been up to, on both threads!
I have missed out. I was so shocked to hear about arrivals as well, made me think I'd better start my hospital bag. I think i'm being a bit relaxed as this is my 2nd?! Congrats peanut glad everything is going well for you all.
When I started my mat leave with my ds, I got really bored, so ended up decorating everywhere in the house, now I have a 2 yr old, bored nope, am struggling for time to wash baby clothes, yet alone paint! Although ds did a good job with the crayons on the wall yesterday, and it won't come off! Any of you with dc's have a magic answer for removing it?
Glad your all doing well, and i am going to keep a closer eye on this thread for more arrivals!
Have a good day everyone

Heffa · 27/05/2008 09:57

CONGRATULATIONS PEANUT!!!! That's so exciting Keep us posted on the name - Charlie is beautiful (I kept suggesting it to DH but he said no too)

Welcome Justjules, and welcome back Thepuddingchef.

Hope everyone had a nice bank holiday weekend. We bought a new family car, which was a bit of a shock - DH disappeared off yesterday afternoon with our tatty Fiat Punto and arrived back with a Nissan thing. He's picking up the buggy and the car seat today so I'm looking forward to seeing those!

Good luck Twinkle - hope the twins hang in there

Minkus · 27/05/2008 10:32

Hello again puddingchef, glad you've re-found us

Jodie, in what world is doing all of that painting NOT "doing too much"! Goodness you're like a woman possessed . Make sure you take it easy though if your SPD is rearing its head when you overdo it.

And at all you others with painting urges. I am hoping I might start nesting soon as the spare room needs a good sort out and although I lie in bed awake thinking about it I just can't be bothered to get up off my big old pregnant bum and do anything about it!

Well this morning I have ironed the baby clothes for my hospital bag. It is the only time I will probably iron anything but it made me feel all emotional looking at the neat little stack of gro's etc.

Have also typed up my birth plan- will post it here if anyone interested? (Would love to read everyone elses ) I've kept mine relatively short this time with just a few bullets under four headings as last time I wrote loads and because things happened quite quick the mw didn't even have time to look at it until afterwards! (at least she looked ) Not changed loads since last time, although the major thing that felt wrong last time was pushing- I didn't get the urge until about 10 mins before ds was born but I?d pushed for an hour, it felt so so wrong and so this time I will be waiting until I get the urge. Hopefully this will let the baby move down further on its own.

Must confess I am bloody fed up of thinking about babies/childbirth/pregnancy etc but it's all my brain will allow me to do! I am bored rigid of my own thoughts

purplejennyrose · 27/05/2008 10:52

Congratulations Peanut!!!! How exciting! And sounds like LO is doing so well already.

Am having a baaad pelvic pain morning -walked a tiny bit with my crutches over the weekend - just down the road and back, round the supermarket - and today it is so sore!!
DD has been in 'adventurous' ode just when I can't get up and down easily all the time - so far this morning she has dropped the pump spray bit off an air freshener down the toilet, managed to get a really sharp saw out of the cupboard and RUN across the room with it and just now got her arm stuck through the back of a chair!! Pretty good going, hey??!! Am going to my Mum's for a break in a bit!

Well hope the weather brightens up soon! Have good days everyone
x

gillythekid · 27/05/2008 11:16

Hello all. Lazy day for me after weekend of sorting and organising. Been doing my hypnobirthing affirmations and breathing all morning, makes LO kick like a mule! Bit bored now but too tired to even get in the bath after a crappy nights sleep of endless weeing, think a potty by the bed would be better or even a catheter, then I can just wee myself.....nice.
Hope baby Peanut is thriving, who will be next I wonder?
Trying to resist the leftover pudding in the fridge.......step away from the Tiramisu, I've so got myself to blame for the still sometimes squishy belly, no stretch marks as there's still plenty of room. Hope they've invented speed pilates by August. Have a good un everyone.

MINNIE1 · 27/05/2008 11:54

Heffa
That was a nice surprise..

Minkus
My birth plan is to get it out ASAP ... and loads of drugs... I am a whimp... Both DD's were vac births so just as well i had epidural and gas and air.. DD2 placenta was manually removed (TMI ALERT) by hand! This time i hope it goes more smoothly..

Gilly
Go on jump in the bath and bring the Tiramisu with you.. I wont tell anyone!! If you could bring the TV with you aswell all the better

Gone cleaning mad again this week!! hoovering and washing floors like no tommorw!! DD1 room done and ooking sooooo pretty, DD2 later today.. Better go and get DD's there surprises from the toy shop or there will be murder..

Heffa · 27/05/2008 12:12

Minnie - quite! We had been discussing it, and I knew he was going to have a look at a car, I just wasn't expecting to get it. It seems nice enough though, and was a good bargain. Lots more boot space for baby stuff!

Purplejennyrose - sorry to hear you're having a bad day, hope you have a nice rest at your mums.

Mummywannabe · 27/05/2008 13:02

Morning all.

Glad to hear you little ones are cooking for a little longer twinkle.

Minkus - wold love to read you birthplan.

First day of mat leave today, have cleaned house top to bottom, cleared out cupboards, finally got round to putting my wedding photo's in album. ermmm bored now! wanna wash baby clothes but weather not great and next door are having a fence put in so lots of dirt etc flying about.

isaidno · 27/05/2008 13:12

Congrats Peanut; hope you and baby are well xxxxx

minipinkscottish · 27/05/2008 13:19

Wow Peanut - congratulations!! How exciting - oh ladies it's becoming real now!!

Came on here for a bit due to stress......grrrrr......one - dh is decorating our room and I'm trying to put LO's room back together again after it was decorated yesterday...and I'm running out of space! Two.....having hassle with the bloody bank we are trying to remortgage with..they have lost some of our documents for the 2nd time
Why is nothing ever simple.....

I am feeling soooooooooooo HUGE and mega weepy........trying to hang on to the thought that it wont be long now!!

pigleychez · 27/05/2008 13:38

Minipink- Know what you mean about decorating. We (or should i say I) are decorating our bedroom.

I say I as DH is at work and doesnt know ive actually started it!
We mentioned yesterday about maybe we should give it a fresh coat of paint to match in with our new bed but nothing was decided.
Anyway i remebered we had a whole tin or paint left over from the nursery (Cream colour) so thought sod it, ill start! Cant wait to see his reaction when he comes home!

Ive just finished one wall but Ive had to leave the top bits of the wall for him when he gets home as i dont fancy climbing the ladder.

Wonder what hes going to say!

MINNIE1 · 27/05/2008 14:00

pigleychez
Very of your painting.. He will prob be with you for doing it as you are pregnant, but will think my god what a fab DW i have ...
