TJuice - Elodie is lovely!
Congratulations to you and your DH, I hope you are recovering well

MINNIE1 · 09/06/2008 17:06

Having on and off pains all day, Just hope this is not the start of something! No pattern to them, and there not BH. Back pain and all over bump and the feeling of No2 all the time (TMI ALERT) even though i went this morning.. Fingers crossed its not the start...

sweetkitty
Your DD sound just like mine!! Everything DD2 has DD1 wants.. Fighting over the smallest things.. Resorted to mickey mouse

Minkus · 09/06/2008 17:23

TJuice Elodie loooks sooo much like her daddy from the photos you've posted of them both (I have been told time and time again how much ds looks like his dad, to the extent of people actually being a bit scared and how little of me there is in him so empathise if everyone is saying that to you and you just want to tell me to stfu!)

Ooooh Minnie1 are you going to be no.3??!!

jocesar · 09/06/2008 17:46

MummyW- PMSL at your car confusion only because I did exactly the same thing last month. Tried ages to get into a red Landrover Discovery which wasn't mine- was about to rip the door handles off/smash the windscreen. My Freelander was parked 2 cars behind!!
TJuice- huge congratulations!

disneystar · 09/06/2008 18:00

Evening All,

TJIUICE - she is adorable - you must be preening yourself all the time just now

LIBRA - poor you - take it easy.

My sympathies to all those working - must be horrid by now, don't know how you manage as I need to pee constantly.

DISNEY - seeing as you have accomodated so many in that uberwomb of yours it is probable that LO has turned Sure they say baby can turn at last minute with further pregnancies.

MUMMYWANNABE - well done on the essay - it is really hard to concentrate with pg brain. Hope your next mark is great too. How long to go now? My graduation is 26th June but suffice to say I won't be going Just want my certificate thank you very much!

I've done hee haw today apart form clean toilets/bathroom. Am knackered as Dd wouldn't settle until gone 11pm and then I couldn't sleep due to needing to pee 4 x and being thirsty and hot and uncomfy!! I needed a day of rest as I have been doing far too much bending, lifting etc the last 4 days. I have been dreaming of Empire biccies all day and went to make some but not enough sugar Cannot stop thinking about them

Bubba is moving around like mad still - keep getting punched in the left groin area (where your ligaments are) and a pian in the, literally, bum! He/she must be punching a nerve that leads to my lower colon/rectum! Makes me twitch! Not to mention the head hitting off me bladder every few mins making me clench!!

I have totally had enough now so very eager for bubba to make an appearance. Everyone tells me I am carrying really low but I did with DD too - I think it is my 'accommodating' pelvis (ie HUGE) and also I am quite tall, but bubba has dropped as I can breathe again and my heartbrun/reflux has gone now too yeah!!

Starting to puff now too - sock marks on the ankles. My DH kindly calls them sock muffin overhang

Wonder who'll be next?

Yes there are loads of folk who haven't checked in for ages - maybe it is because we all talk so much it is hard to keep up!

Looking forward to PEANUT and TJUICE labour stories

Ordered my birth pool liner and inflate/deflate pump and kit yesterday so should arrive tomorrow. Then that's me sorted - pram arrives Friday, I did want to order a couple of wee wrap over (kimono style) nightgowns though as they are so much easier to change bubba's nappies in the night than flaffing around with poppers.

Well take care all xxx

TWINKLE - how are those littlies doing?

Kaz1967 · 09/06/2008 19:59

I have another antenatal class tomorrow it's the breastfeeding one thankfully being taught by the one midwife who does not know me so I can keep quiet.

I feel absolutely crap today stinking headache, shattered (been awake since 5am ), can't get comfortable, tummy pains and back pain, feel constantly full up and not hungry, and totally over emotional. I hate being pregnant and feel so guilty about feeling like that I have waited 16 years for this.

TwilightSurfer · 09/06/2008 20:03

TJUICE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Mummywannabe · 09/06/2008 20:05

Jocesar - glad its not just me

Tjuice - she is so lovely. So so cute

Sweetkitty - doing BA in Early Years

Rumpel - won't be finsihed completely until Xmas 2009. But because its open uni its in segments. I too have sock muffin overhang! Bless your DH, made me laugh!

Minnie - oo er! Hope your ok, keep us posted

MINNIE1 · 09/06/2008 20:08

Kaz1967
I am in the same position!! back pain tummy pain feeling the baby could pop at anytime! Getting DDs off to bed and off for a nice bath to see if i can settle this!! Could'nt sleep till after 3am last night and was up at 7.30 with DDs!! Bed early tonight.. Hope you get a good night sleep and pain goes, i think this is the hardest part of pregnancy.. nearly there..

twinkle1 · 09/06/2008 20:53

Evening all,
Sorry i havee been missing!!!! Been back in hosp in prem labur again. From now on though they would not stop it as im 33 weeks
TJuice congrats She is lovely.
Hope everyone else is well and not feeling too hot not that im complaining about th
e nice weather!!!!
well im off to bed
Twinkle

Mummywannabe · 09/06/2008 20:57

Twinkle - wondered if that might be where you were. Hope your ok. Looks likely you will be next then.

twinkle1 · 09/06/2008 21:03

Yes, i think so even if i dont go into labour my c/section is booked for 3 weeks time to be honest i have had enough now.
twinkle

Mummywannabe · 09/06/2008 21:07

Twinkle - You must be fed up. Its hard enough carrying one never mind two little people.

sweetkitty · 09/06/2008 21:32

twinkle - oh sounds like you could be next, mixed emotions, on the one hand I bet you want them out and to be non pregnant again but on the other hand you want to keep them in a wee while longer so they are a bit bigger. One of my friends had twins at 39 weeks one was 6lbs 3ozs, one 6lbs 13ozs I keep telling her to bring in a pic apparently she put on 4 1/2 stone and the fluid was actually coming out her legs!

minnie - oh looks good but I felt like that so many times with DD2 I actually gave up thinking I would ever go into labour I had so many false alarms. I feel like a referee with my two, it's usually DD2 wanting what DD1 has. DD1 is quite sensitive and DD2 already knows what buttons to press.

I feel the exact same as everyone else fed up, with everything the SI pain, the peeing every 2 mins, the shooting fanjo pains, acid reflux, oh I don't have swelling I never swell theres a positive

disney - can you feel his bum? Maybe he's just being a typical man and leaving it until the last minute.

disneystar · 09/06/2008 21:58

im gettin lots of bumps and kicks from cenrtal tummy areaand a big hard round lump high in middle
im hoping hes turned
yeah typical man waiting till the end

pigleychez · 09/06/2008 23:29

Evening all.

Just got back from an evening out at the theatre. We saw a charity comedy show with Harry Hill, Paul Zennon and Lee Mack.

Typicaly the theatre doesnt have its own car park so had to park miles away and at the bottom of a steep hill! Was like climbing everest!
Show was brilliant but i was a complete wriggle arse as the seats were so uncomforable and it was very warm in there.

Plan was to find somewhere to eat before the show but we couldnt find anywhere so ended up in Subway. Not my fav place but better than nothing.

Halfway through the show i had the most awful pains downstairs... DH saw me flinching and i tried to explain quietly but im sure the guy behind heard as i was getting some odd looks!

mcchesers · 10/06/2008 05:33

well crap...I'm sick. I've been fighting this for a few days, but now it's caught up with me. I've got a nasty sore throat, sniffy nose, and a general feeling of exhaustion.

I've got so much on at the moment, and heaps that I still haven't finished but if I am to rest, then rest it shall be.

Pigley- It's getting harder and harder to go out anymore with pains in the lower region. It can really knock the wind out of you and leave you with watery eyes, eh?

Twinkle- fingers crossed for you. can't wait to see the twinklets

more tea?

libralady · 10/06/2008 06:14

McChesers sorry you are feeling so crap. The weather isn't helping. Spent the night tossing and turning due to the heat!
Didn't help that the bloody phone went at 2am from a witheld number so bang I was wide awake again. I hate it when that happens and noone was there!
Thanks for the support and for letting me moan. Only 7 days left at work now which can't come soon enough for me.
Called DH yesterday morning after he'd arrived in London for the first of his 3 weeks away. Aparrently his colleague nearly walked off site as they have now been told they need to work one of the weekends in London as well (21/22 June) so would mean being away for 12 days in total. Typically it's the weekend after my last day in work which is when I have it in my mind to try and get this LO out! (10 days early) I am so pissed off and he is fuming.
He's not even sure if he'll get to take his paternity leave now due to the work they have on.
FIL had his endoscopy (sp?) yesterday and will get the results later today. He's also got a pet? scan today which means I can't see him for a few days as he will be having a dose of readiation or something and he's been told to stay clear of pregnant women and small children for a few days after.
Anyhow, I've got my BF & and her DH coming around tonight and we'll get takeaway. We talk every week but haven;t seen her since DS's party outing in April. Will be great to catch up. She will be my birth partner if DH can't get back in time and she's to be this LO's godmother.
Oh well, better get dressed and off to work. DS stayed at my Mum's last night so at least I don;t have to get him ready and drop him off!
Hope everyone else is OK and keeping cool.

sweetkitty · 10/06/2008 07:38

Morning everyone not much to report here, OK night just up once for the toilet, nice day here today we have toddlers then I don't know what else.

disney - thats how I would describe my bump, round hard bump under ribs and the kicks and pushing all come down the left hand side, I can also feel her head moving about and nouncing off my pelvis, when is your next MW appointment, you will know for sure then?

libra - that is a nightmare, I hope the LO cooperates and comes when you want him to. Life would be a whole lot easier if we just had a date when they would come out. I have about a months window when she could come (like everyone else really) and it's stressing me out. SIL has said she will come up any time of day or night bless her but she is at the most 1 1/2 hours away but I suppose it's better than nothing.

mcchesers - sorry you are feeling so poorly, get thy self to bed and stay there!

pigley - glad you had a nice evening out I can't sit still for more than 10 minutes right now either.

Right best be off x

gillythekid · 10/06/2008 08:55

Good morning all. Just back from our mini jaunt to the Isle of Wight to see that TJuice has managed to produce the most beautiful daughter, how perfect, congratulations to you both.
Twinkle I hope you're doing well.
Quick glance over 5 pages, don't know how some of you are managing still working, much as I hate the fact I lost my job, I really couldn't have managed it in this pregnancy.
sorry to hear of all the troubles/aches/pains/rubbish comments from mothers (thought mine had the monopoly on them!)
Interesting to read about some of you having shooting pains, I too have had this since last week, mentioned it to the (student) midwife and she didn't have a clue so glad it may be baba engaging. Thankfully the perineal massage is getting a little more comfy too.
Well I had a 3 hour car journey each way and my legs are quite swollen, I look like I have calves with toes on the end. My feet have turned into trotters. I'm just off to yoga then to a 'nappy natter' to find out which reusables to buy. Hoping aqua fit and a nice swim this week will sort the swelling out, otherwise I'll look like the Michelin man till baba comes!
