mmmm quite like alexander actually but i bet dh won;t (some people are sooo difficult he knows we will call him what i want i the end anyway )

love lottie, or tilly for a girl

DebitheScot · 01/05/2008 10:03

Not sure about Lottie either. The problem with a name that can be shortened is that you might end up with no control over what they shorten it to. I can imagine a teenager choosing to shorten thier name to the one that they know mum likes the least!

DebitheScot · 01/05/2008 10:19

I love Isla, I'd have it but it doesn't go with our surname as it starts with I.

I just assumed your surname was McKenzie which surely isn't awkward.

Iona?

jenpet · 01/05/2008 10:22

Thanks all for your suggestions, I'm hopeless, I don't want anything too, too French, in case we ever move somewhere else (or he does!) but French enough (yeah I know!) We like Nicholas & William as middle names, both of which are used occasionally over here. But first names, I don't know...
Starlight how about ;

Cara

Tanya

Tara

Titania (?)

Will keep thinking. (once you know the sex you can't help but think of loads you love for the opposite sex!)

DebitheScot · 01/05/2008 10:22

amber on a child with ginger hair would be worse than on a child without ginger hair I think.

mustsleep · 01/05/2008 10:24

wouldn;t think it would matter

dinah
tina
eva
ava

Congrats on all the great scans - can't wait for mine!

dobbins I've been having very intermittent movements, and only on the right side of my abdomen. At my 12 week scan I was apparently placenta anterior, and I'm beginning to think it must be completely covering the left side but not the right! I'm sure the scan will clear it up for you.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts on the house ladies, looks like we'll be moving in a few weeks and and I can't wait

jenpet your girls names are beautiful, and I love Xavier for a boy.

Pidge · 01/05/2008 11:03

Gosh you are so organised with your names, I haven't even started thinking yet. And we're going to have to juggle boys and girls as we won't find out the gender. Double the fun!!

LittleConnie · 01/05/2008 12:07

By the way for those that were interested... the bravado nursing bra I ordered here has arrived and it's BRILLIANT - so supportive for the (ahem) fuller lady considering there's no underwires. Can't believe I've already gone up 2 chest sizes and 3 cup sizes - what are they going to be like once the milk comes in?

Thanks sunshine and starlight, better get on to my midwife then. Boss is joking that I'm not pregnant at all but just eating all the pies and want a year off and that he wants official proof. Yeah, really funny... not...

Bump looking very bump-like now and I'm starting to get a few strange pains here and there but I think that's just cos everything is stretching. Loads of kicking though which I absolutely love and don't think I will ever get tired of.

Mustsleep - glad to hear the hair goes!! I'm more hairy now than I used to be that's for sure, and much less inclined to do anything about it! I'll look like a gorilla by the time I get to the labour ward.
