I was like that in reverse elliedeb with my first - convinced I was having a boy - a girl was a shock and took some getting used to.

I'm on the hunt for some nursery furniture and have looked all over the place (online- tesco, argos, baby's r us, the kids window etc) but still havn't found what I'm looking for. I'd like a dark wood cot, wardrobe and chest of drawers with a changing top (not just a changing unit) but they either don't come as a set, or they're too expensive, not the right shade of wood or you just get a changing unit and no chest of drawers. Can anybody help and point me in the right direction pleeeeeeese???

We haven't begun to think properly about names. I have 1 girls name I like (Katie) and dh doesn't like it. And I like pretty much every Scottish boys name. I think Lewis is my current fave (well Euan is but it really doesn't go with surname)

Elliedb - I've definitely seen that in Mamas & Papas. Not cheap tho IMHO.

And have you looked at IKEA (probably a daft question...).

I love Scottish boys names Debi - Rory, Fraser, Hamish, Lewis, Euan are all fab names.

Mamas and papas a little over budget, have tried Ikea but they don't do proper chest of drawers....

What about John Lewis - again might be over budget but not sure where else to suggest.

Hi everyone, can I have a moan please...

Been at work all day and had a meeting afterwards. In the meeting I get a call saying please call my friend on her mobile. My mobile doesn't hold a charge but I just about manage to get her number and call her. Turns out that her, my dh our dd and her ds have buggered off to London for the day so he can't come pick me up as promised. This was at 4.10 and the gasman is due to come at 5.00 to fix our boiler. I managed to sort out a lift home and now have 10 minutes to spare. There's no food in the house and if the gas man doesn't turn up promptly I can't go to the corner shop and pick up some food. Now to top it off, of course I'm really annoyed because I want to go to London for the day too! I also want to run around Hamleys and wreak havoc =/

Anyways, thanks for the moan, feel slightly more composed now.

re contraception - merina coil sounds good - stops you having heavy periods, other coils made me bleed like a stuck pig, not nice

re sex my good old omax is standing me in good stead; not doing much with dh, he doesn't want to go to bed as early as me!

Had ANOTHER cry for no reason today, I guess I'll have to get used to it!

I had the marina coil and didn't get on well with it I still had periods the same as before and I put on 2 stone in 6 months.
The doctor said it was rare but I stopped putting on weight when I had it out.

I am back. Had a lovely scan. Baby waving and yawning at us . Got loads of pictures (ten), babes was very photogenic!
I have the gender written down in a sealed envelope (signed by both dh and I)
