I thought I'd better start another thread as the other one was full to bursting!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
chinchi · 19/05/2008 08:20

Morning ladies
Hope everyone ok. Just getting ready for my booking in appointment and dating scan, although been up since 5am with DS and feel slightly worse for wear!

kayzisexpecting · 19/05/2008 08:46

Our bathroom is downstairs too Pixsix it's very annoying at 3 in the morning.

Chinchi Enjoy your scan. Sorry about your early morning.

hattyyellow · 19/05/2008 11:08

Flumpybumpy any news? Everything xd for you..

Chinchi enjoy the scan and booking in today!

Pixsi I am still getting up about 4-5 times per night to pee. I'm so thirsty as well that I think that makes it worse as I get through several pints of water per night!

Have just weighed myself for first time since BFP. Have put on 9lb! . Think it's all the sausages and mash! BMI has gone from 21 to 24. Am trying to think of things I feel like eating that don't involve loads of carbs...

Flumpybumpy · 19/05/2008 11:32

Hi, saw GP this morning and she said it didn't sound good but referred me to the EPU. The EPU called me this morning and the midwife I was speaking to asked for my symptoms etc.... she said from what I had described it sounded as though my pregnancy could have ended but I need to scan to be sure. I have to go in tomorrow morning for the scan when I will find out more.

I think deep down, I know what they are going to say so I just have today and tonight to get through then I will know for sure.

Will keep you posted!

hattyyellow · 19/05/2008 11:50

Oh Flumpy I'm so so sorry. Really hope that somehow it might be okay, but sending you huge hugs. . Will be thinking of you at the scan, do keep us posted when you get a chance.

BeckyBendyLegs · 19/05/2008 11:55

Flumpybumpy I'll be thinking of you today and tomorrow.

DonnyLass · 19/05/2008 11:59

Thinking of you lovely lady

babblington · 19/05/2008 12:06

hello all - haven't been on for a while, I'm due Dec 29, have my driving test today and a total nervous wreck with jittery nerves and morning sickness - how on earth am i going to get through this?!

artichokes · 19/05/2008 12:16

Hiya - I have not been on for a few days as I have been hiding out on my own thread of morning sickness misery. Friday I was so bad I thought I might die from throwing up (a bit dramatic but how I felt). Dr had to come out and everything. I am now signed off work for a week and DH has had to cancel the second leg of his business trip as I am too ill to be left with DD (I am sooooo glad to have him home ). I have actually lost 5lbs so far this pregnancy!

Flumpy - sorry to hear about the worry you are going through. I have all my fingers crossed for you.

Chinichi good luck for your scan.

Becky - your news house sounds great. We have just taken ours off the market as nothing is moving here.

Llarrgrub - congratulations, I am so pleased for you.

MaeWest, Kayz and Rosmerta - we are off to Devon (and Cornwall) this summer for three weeks. I am from Devon originally. What parts are you guys visiting?

EffiePerine · 19/05/2008 13:06

Flumpy: thinking of you

Artichokes: glad your DH is returning and you have some time off

Our last holiday pre-DS was in North Devon, lovely part of the world.

Well, I am reaping the consequences of being laid back about mw appointments etc - rang the surgery today and I do need to see a GP, get the pg confirmed and get scans booked etc as soon as possible. Bah. Am going in this afternoon at 5:30 so will prob be waiting ages. And I have to wee in a pot so they can confirm what a perfectly good home test has already told me.

Twiga · 19/05/2008 13:08

Flumpy - so sorry to hear that things not looking good and that you've got a wait for your scan. Hoping the next 24 hrs or so fly for you, will be thinking of you.

Chinichi - enjoy your scan today!

hattyyellow - STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES , bet it'll even out once the cravings calm down!

babblington - all the very best for your driving test. I only passed mine a couple of months ago but what a difference it's made. Hope to see good news from you later.

Still very tired here today, think will def go for a nap with the dcs this avo. Just got in from Tesco, not sure how I made it round without vomiting, the smells and all the food just made me feel yuk! Oh and for anyone wandering who the heck I am, have been posting as okaythen but have outted in RL so back under normal name.

BeckyBendyLegs · 19/05/2008 13:54

Artichokes poor, poor you. You have had it rough. I really sympathise with you as I am a total mess when I feel ill, especially when I am looking after the DSs on my own.

I've just been ringing up about a school for DS1 near our new house. The first lady I rang were really snotty and just said 'sorry we're full for September you'd have to make an appeal if you want your son to come here' and the second one I rang were lovely and really sympathetic. I nearly cried down the phone!

Babblington good luck!!!!! I'm sure the adrenelin will kick in and you'll be fine. The body has an amazing way of making coping under stress.

I am soooo tired. I nearly fell asleep during singing at Toddlers this morning. DH is in Leeds today, which is a long way from here and he won't be home until the DSs are in bed.

I want to go to Devon with you all. I went to University in Exeter many years ago and spent three glorious years there. I have a friend who lives in Exemouth and she's getting married there this summer - I can't wait to go to her wedding!

Olipop · 19/05/2008 14:43

Hello!
Please may I join your (big) group! I am 8 weeks with DC2 (DS1 is 2 1/4). Feeling totally sick, which is a great sign but feels grim! Current diet consists of natural yoghurt, bananas and grapes....and that is about it! I'm not going to read all of the 900 odd messages but I'll hope to catch on from now on. Nice to meet you all

Olipop · 19/05/2008 14:45

Should add that that makes me due 27/12!

BeckyBendyLegs · 19/05/2008 14:47

Hello Olipop! Sorry you're feeling so sick

I've been eating two packets of grapes a week.

Olipop · 19/05/2008 14:54

I just feel guilty that I haven't cooked a meal for DH or DS for a week! I just keep asking other people to feed them!

Twiga · 19/05/2008 14:59

Olipop, don't get me started on the whole cooking thing, it's all I can do not to throw up at the smell of cooking food just now. Much sympathy, dh has been doing quite a lot of the work in the kitchen front here too, and the local takeaway is doing quite well out of us just now!

kayzisexpecting · 19/05/2008 15:02

Sorry you are feeling ill Olipop Artichokes We're going to North Devon. I can't wait to get away for a week.

hattyyellow · 19/05/2008 15:02

You're not alone! We are living off Covent Garden soups, potatoes and pasta without anything strong smelling in it!

Made a really plain chicken stirfry for DH and DD's last night and had to have every door and window open because the smell was making me feel so ill!

DH warmed his up in the microwave and I made him air the microwave as I couldn't stand the smell of food in it!

Twiga thanks for sensible words - have put scales back under the cupboard .

kayzisexpecting · 19/05/2008 15:10

I have lost weight with this pregnancy but only a few pounds. I'm expecting to pile it on soon.

I might get my Yoga for pregnancy book out soon.

I'm going to the loo regularly three times a night and our loo is on the floor below our bedroom but it keeps me fit I suppose...its the body's way of preparing you for getting up in the night three times a night to feed perhaps.

The DSs and I are camping in the diningroom at the moment in a tent and drinking milkshakes with curly straws. Well they are as I can't fit in the tent as well.

babblington · 19/05/2008 17:08

oh well, failed again. Maybe third time lucky. As it takes so long to get another test maybe I will have more luck/sympathy with a bump?!

hattyyellow · 19/05/2008 17:11

Oh Babblington I'm so sorry! I passed third time around - it's definitely the best time to pass . I got a really lovely examiner who actually chatted to me rather than sitting there frowning like a headmaster - it made a real difference because I relaxed and drove normally.
