mjim - blood may have been a UTI.
scary about the hb but at least it was ok i nthe end!
your fundal height may have been like that because the baby was lying high or is a funny position. i would not worry too much as it is only an estimate really. and you are a peitite person so baby can only go up!
well my stomach keeps going from small to looking like i am almost about to pop!

MJIM sorry your MW appt didn't go as you expected it, but sounds as though baby is fine, so try not to worry I was thinking that the tiny trace of blood in your urine test could have come from your cervix,especially if you had sex last night!
your cervix really changes when your pregnant and fills with blood,sex(a bang!) can cause it to bleed and apparently the PH level (changes in the acidity can also cause it to bleed) if you are still worried about it, then give your ante-natal team a ring, tell them you were too upset and shocked at the time of the appt and could they explain in more detail, otherwise you will be worried for weeks on end! I am certain that you and your baby will be just fine

mjim - yes sex last night prob did cause it as it does swell and becoem sensitive and engorged and can be easily irritated. hb was fine and no cramps so i am sure it is ok. and yes possibly you are carrying high if placenta is. keep smiling and if concerned call gp/mw for a chat and they will reassure you.

myjob are you able to phone to midwife at any time to ask questions you didn't get the chance to to put your mind at rest? Then at least you wouldn't have to wait another 7 weeks..

I would probably see your GP about the blood in your urine, just to put your mind at rest, that's certainly not something that should be classed as normal imo...

Hi everyone - got back from holiday in Dorset on Saturday, but it's taken me this long to read all your updates (12 pages ). We had a lovely holiday, DS enjoyed his first sandcastle-building experience, and we enjoyed lots of cream teas. Only downside is that DS decided to get up at about 5am every day, but thank goodness he's back to the usual 6:30 now we're home.

Huge congratulations to everyone on their positive scan results, and particularly to Jenwa that everything has turned out ok. Very exciting that some of you know if it's a girl or a boy. Our 20 week scan is on 10th June, and we're hoping to find out what we're having. Part of me wants another boy since my DS is such a sweetie, but part of me wants a girl to see what a daughter of ours would be like. We're definitely stopping at 2 children, so no possibility of trying for a daughter 3rd time around.

good morning all

sory i didnt get back to you last night i have been so excited and my dh took me out for a meal to celebrate

the scan went fantastic she said she has never seen such a clear scan the baby was just looking at me and you could see evrything !!

think it was down to the bottle of lucazade i drank before i went in

well its not 100% but i think im having a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seen between the legs a few times and never seen any bits and mw said she agreeded

i swear i am on cloud 9 its fantastic now im going to have one of each

sambrads that is god news, we both have one of each though i am adjusting to the idea. when are you going to go out and buy your first pink dress? i ma holding off til 24 weeks til i think about it.

Well had my scan yesterday. It was good to see baby again as for some reason I was really worried cos I don't feel pregnant really. Anyway all seemed fine. My blood pressure was high though. We didn't find out what it was but I think its a boy.

can I please join ladies? am due my first baby (currently a surprise though hubby wants to find out!) on 21st October...all our friends think we're having a boy but no reasons behind it!

not feeling any movements yet but had midwife appt on tues and heard the heartbeat so everything in theory going according to plan...am based in south west london

i have already went and bought a pack of baby grows that i have wanted to get ages ago they are the most girlie thing ou have ever seen

welcome girlwiththemousyhair. if it is your first you do not usually feel movements until about 21-22 weeks maybe later. i am on my second and just started to feel movements at 21 weeks and that is only when i lie on my back in the morning.

Thanks for that bethoo am finding that is the norm so putting worrying to one side as I'm only 19+3 now

i have got literally over 100 grows and vests mostly white so i will nto be investing in amy pinkyones though there are billions of cute dresses out at the moment! would nto know where to start! must remember that wshe will nto be in dresses til about 3 months so that will be winter stuff and it is all summer clothes but i could get the dresses on sale for next year! listen to be babbling!
