evening all!
thats it my last shift until next monday, thank god as what a run of 4 its been. Am sitting on couch with feet up as ankles and feet resemble baked potatoes!! The room I work in was 25 degrees at one point so I had TWO fans blowing on me and still felt like a roasted turkey. Anyway, I survivied, I remembered how to do it all and was nice to have some adult chat and to do something other than mummy/wife duties!

sazzles don't ever worry about me grassing you in to the fuzz - am all in favour of a bit of fraud was thinking of trying those white trousers to go with the pink top for the wedding but a bit worried if they are see through??!

About tummy buttons: I used not to be able to see the bottom of mine, but now it's kind of got a bit bigger and shallower. Does this mean that it's going to pop out?

The lady who does the flowers at church has broken her arm and so I have all sorts of instructions about watering, feeding and moving pot plants into and out of the light. It is making me feel quite nervous.

Something nice this weekend was DH's neices baptism (he is godfather) so lots of family and 10 babies were baptised at the same service!

Dizzy, I missed your message before I posted. My feet have also started some impressive swelling! Much sympathy. I'm glad that work was OK.

Rereading my previous post. To clarify about the baptism. We saw lots of family, which was nice. 10 babies (from different families) were all baptised at the same time.

DH is trying to clean DD. I hear them in the bathroom.....might need the wet-vac for the bathroom when they are done.

Can't say my ankles are swelling yet but I can say my belly button is almost FLAT. And I didn't think of it but I might be having a squid too.

8pm here and I am wiped out. Will SNORE good tonight, I promise.

Went for scan on Saturday and all is well. Fortunately (for me at least) the baby doesn't appear to have inherited DH's football head yet .

Getting increasingly worried about what I'm going to wear when we come back to the UK on next week - especially hearing about the snow at the weekend - a good excuse to go shopping I suppose.

Has anyone else got/had a cough lately? I've just got my first cold type thing of the pregnancy (but remember I've had morning sickness throughout so please don't think i'm being smug lol). I am so much more nervous this time round so am prone to asking worried questions:
-Can me coughing hurt baby? It can't cause me to eject baby early can it? (please don't laugh at me)

• Is there anything I can take should the cough get worse??

alittlebitshy cough away sweetie, the baby will just think its another dip/dive on the rollercoaster ride - lots of fluids and paracetamol if need be

albs I've been sneezing like a good'un constantly for the last few months, and it doesn't seem to bother the squid at all - it's just annoying for me. Make yourself some hot lemon and honey and rest up, you both should be fine

CC hope your scan is going well! How exciting. I can't wait for ours (a week on Friday, seems like ages away still).

Back at work today but only for a day - have taken Thursday and Friday off so we can have a little break (going to stay at the inlaws' while they're on holiday ). It's a beautiful clear day here...the colour of the sky is making me nostalgic for Barcelona.

ALBS Try gargling warm salty water for a sore/tickly throat (TCP???!!!!). I often get a sharp pain in the groin/bump area when I cough, don't think it's the baby ejecting though.
I ate some cheesecake last night, I hate cheesecake! And I've had a few fresh cream cakes lately and loads of Cadburys chocolate at Easter, all of which are quite famously not my bag (Cadburys makes me boak normally.) Guess my boys just love their puds, DS forced me to eat 2 helpings of Xmas pudding (yuk) the Xmas before he was born and also had me on Cadburys. Which makes me think I might actually be able to manage a KK donut (although they really don't appeal to my non-pg self)...

albs I've had two colds recently pretty much back to back - thanks DP! Who I caught them from... I looked at cough mixtures in Boots and most of them aren't suitable for use during pregnancy. However, I found squeezing the juice of a whole lemon, topping up with hot water and adding honey to taste worked wonders. My throat loved it.

Welcome, RachG08! I know what you mean about no-one knowing you are PG, and wanting to rabbit on about it... Here is the perfect place! Hehe.

As for colds, I've had two good ones so far. I've not taken anything for either of them. Both last the normal 7 to 10 day length . Lots of liquids seem to help and for the cough/sore throat: hard candy (of any sort). As for sneezing/coughing hurting the baby, it only made me tickle on myself . Baby's kicking just fine so don't think it did any harm.

Sazzles no need to ship KK to Tennessee, I've got my own shop just minutes up the road PLUS they are sold in every blasted grocery store or gas station around. We're SWIMMING in KK here. {you know I'm soooo sorry about that Dizzy}

Time to get up. Preschool and volunteer duty today!!! Will check back later.
