miamla - yes, I am feeling much cheerier thanks Had a brilliant chat with friend and her little boy is edibly cute (he's at the big fat wiggly stage ). She also gave me LOADS of useful tips and info about the birthing centre and just everything really. She's still whip-thin and looking fab

So I hope your blues have passed off as well! Seems there's been a lot of hormones flying around this week. (((us)))

SazzlesA enjoy your Chinese. We've never been able to find a decent Chinese takeaway round here so I am rather jealous. Going to make a stir fry for tea, and - call the social! - I'm going to drink a beer! There's a great offie up the road that sells 500 different types of beer, including an alcohol free Erdinger that is a godsend to the pregnant booze lover as it tastes just like the real thing, so I'm off to stock up.

Oh, forgot to say that I'm also feeling cheerier because I've felt a few kicks this evening - my baby is obviously a night owl

Okay, as per Sazzles? request, here?s my pram!!! The pram of my dreams! This is the colour I want to get, unless the new ones are any good, I?ll hang on for your updates Shazza!! If I?m this excited about a pram, can you imagine what I?ll be like when I have the baby to put in it?! I wanted to buy it and take it home last nite, but DH (very rightly! ) convinced me to at least wait until the nursery is painted ? I?m on it this weekend!! Oh and Sazzles, I?m v. impressed with your mathematical prowess! I?ve worked for a bank for 9yrs now and am still crap at maths! May explain the state of my employer?

Hope you're feeling a bit better Cyteen. My little one had a quiet day most of yesterday which got me panicking, but the movement started up again last night and he?s been kicking me almost constantly all day today! I?m sure everything will be fine, but if you?re still not feeling too happy, I?d speak to your midwife, she might let you hear the heartbeat to put your mind at rest ((hugs)) Keep us updated x

Got to get a new computer chair as ds peed all over ours last night!! Mind you, its a stool that's 20 years old! (used to be part of the bedroom furniture I got when I was about 15). Blimey. Still in really good nick apart from the fact the cushion now reeks of pee. Currently sitting on another stool thats falling to bits.

I'm still totally confused by all the choice cyteen! I just went for the one I thought was prettiest and hoped it fitted in the car! It had a bit of the wedding dress cliche as well, that you just know the right one when you see it! I also wanted one that had the option to put the car seat right on the chassis. I have a dog too so I chose the one-handled type (of pram not dog!!) to make it easier to push it around without just going in circles whilst walking her!

Welcome back those who haven't posted in a while - how are you all doing?

I followed the sage advice of someone on here (sorry, can't remember who) and bought myself the tommee tippee half price steriliser from Tesco this evening, and a pack of breast pads. Woo hoo, my first maternity buy (excluding clothes for me).

Scan on monday morning is approaching with some speed - I can't wait to see our baby again! Getting plenty of kicks all over the place now, think Mr Sweetheart is doing some synchronised swimming in there .

Yes it's too quiet without Dizzy around all day long.

My little girl is kicking up a storm too. I wish I could move her around because she's kinda crowding me.

Hiya TS , hows your weather today? We're meant to be getting snow tomorrow, brrrrrr. And we were outside in Tshirts today because it was a 'balmy' 15 degrees!!

WET! Seems my area's just missed the worst of it, thankfully. Should be sunny and HOT this weekend.....perfect sunbathing weather. Sorry about the outlook for snow.

Here's a question for you mate, are you carrying this one LOW? I think my little one is sitting on the exit door...occasionally knocking on it .

No but I am getting plenty of kicks in the exit and arse area! (same with ds but he was breech from at least 27 weeks). Getting plenty of what seem like braxton hicks, especially last thing at night in bed. I can feel the shape of the baby when it happens, weird!!

Am just debating what I can possibly eat. I had a pear for pudding which just seems wrong when there is cake, crisps and ice cream in the house!! (sadly no kk donuts though)

I can't remember what Braxton Hicks feel like but I have tightening/contracting all across my belly in the evening. It moves from top to side to bottom to top...and so on. Seems to go along with the size because the more it happens the larger I appear the next day.

Cherry Jello with Coolwhip will be my dessert later....just getting ready to start dinner.

BHs are like tightenings as I recall - my bump used to go hard (as it does now at night!). I have no idea what real labour feels like as ds was a planned section. I do believe it is a little painful?

Well then I guess I experiencing Braxton Hicks. My belly gets so hard it looks like a watermelon.

Just googled Braxton Hicks....sounds pretty much on target. I don't remember having them with DD but I do remember REAL contractions and there's a DIFFERENCE.

Yikes - I said I would keep up now I'm back but this thread moves so fast! Just got back (well, a while ago but just got rid of mum ) from the hospital - had a show -type thing last night and rung today and had to go in (to the delivery suite!) - I waited 2 1/2 hours in the waiting area (I think they forgot TBH) then about another 30 mins in the delivery room, saw a midwife who said I could see a doctor but it would be another 2 hours! I would have stayed but DH had to go into work ( his work refused him time off) and my mum had DS so I came home. They said to ring back if I have more bleeding or stomach pains. I am not sure how bad stomach pains they have to be - I have been getting more of a 'sore tummy' since last night, but not doubled over in agony pains... MW also said no sex, not sure how long she means? I didn't want to ask, I thought i'd look abit desperate! Let me at least catch up on today....

Could only skim read (concentration levels are poor) but blimey you are all getting on! All this talk of prams, baby buys, yoga and aquanatal and whatnot! I so wish I could do something like that, but with DHs work hours I am housebound Might ask mum to baby sit a few hours once a week so I can do something, esp. since all this diabetes stuff.

HOLY CRAP LadyofWaffle you sound quite calm under the circumstances. Did you have an ultrasound? Do you know what caused this? My questions could go on and on....

I know - I think because I was in and out last time and it was never really anything, I keep thinking maybe I am just being paranoid... and if I was going into early labour I would know? Then I think all the tummy pain is sort of psychological... And then I question how bad the showy thing was (obviously at the time I totally panicked! ) I guess I will just see how the tummy pains go... it would be typical of me to head into the delivery suite again with trapped wind! (Bad memories of rushing into the heart monitoring unit during 1st pregnancy with a "heart attack type feeling" AKA heartburn! )
