After a bit of cajoling from some friends (some of whom I hope can join me here soon), I decided to take the plunge and start this thread.

Anyway, I have just found out I am pregnant again, got a BFP on Saturday 23rd at 12dpo, which gives me an EDD of 3rd November 2008 (or the 4th, depending on which calculator I use). This is my 4th pregnancy and will be my 3rd child. I am super excited and a little scared & nervous after a previous missed miscarriage.

I hope I don't get too lonely waiting for more BFP's to roll in! Please come and join me.

Wow ELB1, you will have your hands full but just imagine how close your kids will be, it will be amazing (if tiring!)

lackaDAISYcal, glad to hear you feel more reassured. I have thought of getting a private scan done, but they don't offern them anywhere near enough for me to get one without a car Also, I have just looked at your profile and OMG, your kids are CUTE!

I've been having one of those days today, where I am worrying. ONce the ickyness from thsi morning calmed down, I then started panicking and thinking that I don't remotely feel pregnant. Even my nips aren't as tender. Someone please slap me and remind me that symptoms can fluctuate.

LackaDAISYcal, glad the EPU reasurred you, hope your scan goes well on Thursday.

Hi Loloabella, I haven't started having m/s yet as I'm only 5 weeks, but last time I used to have a stack of Arrowroot biscuits on my bedside table and I'd have a couple of them before I even got out of bed and they seemed to help (Marie biscuits are very similar). HTH

Heartmum2Jamie, slap, slap! they do fluctuate and praise the lord they do, cause if i were feeling as rough as i did earlier i would be pulling my hair out. all to do with those good old hormones rising and fluctuating.

also if you google it loads of stuff says the same, this from an obs site:

"Pregnancy symptoms can certainly fluctuate from day to day. Some days, your breast can be tender and some days they will not be tender. Nausea can range from occasional nausea to severe nausea and vomiting."

be comforted!

Good evening ladies, Went to see my GP today and she has me booked on for Vagi scan on Friday - can't wait!!!
I don't like getting them done - does anyone-but they are reassuring to see the heartbeat and get all mummsy and think "WOW!! Hello little one!!"
As for the SPD type symptoms - yes it's possible to be having them now. Once preg your body starts to make extra relaxant hormones which soften all your ligaments and tendons - in prep for the big day. But also why wearing high heals is not recommended as we have elastic joints at the mo! Just don't tell your hubbies/partners or they'll be getting you into all shapes!!! !!

One good thing for MS/nauesa - eating food laced with hot chillies!!! Numbs your tongue so the yuck taste isn't as easily noticed - well for about 5 minutes anyway!! But better than nothing! On a serious note I'm taking ginger and lemon tea and ginger nut biccies. Don't know if they help, but they're nice! Also I've gone completely off tea - UCK just the thought.....

divedaisy · 10/03/2008 21:00

Night night all. I'm f8ck8d and am off to bed with my book and a mug of peppermint tea. See you in the morning. xx

This thread is getting busy and we're only up to mid Nov!! I guess its the same every month. Congratulations to all.

LackaDAISYcal - glad you're feeling a bit more reassured. With my first 2 pregnancies I didn't have a care in the world and really took it for granted that everything would be OK. But last August I had a miscarriage and that makes everything different now. Reading the posts from the ladies getting early scans makes me a little jealous as I would love the peace of mind of seeing the pumping heart on the screen but will have wait for about 7 weeks for the scan as I am determined to think positive. Right now I have no symptoms other than of a cold!! I had pretty bad symptoms last time in early pregnancy but I guess its early days...

Just had DS's 2nd birthday party today. We did a lucky dip where the kids got bunny ears out of a big basket filled with shredded paper. They loved it (absolute bargain 89p from Woolworths and very cute). I think it will take weeks to clear up all the bits of shredded paper but I'm whacked for today. My DD (nearly 5) helped her little brother blow out his candles strange to think that next year there might be the 2 of them helping another one blow out the candles...

OddEyes · 10/03/2008 21:04

yes same i am drinking fennel and peppermint tea cause they have strong flavours and nibbling ryvita.
i so want to know my scan date so i can start looking forward to it. want the next 6 or so weeks over already.
had really naff evening eaten ds cake and opened my easter egg! i will never be thin again

tammycc · 10/03/2008 22:23

Hi everyone,
I'd like to join too - its my first and concieved much more easily than expected - as have had all sorts of problems over the last couple of years. I'm due on around 10th Nov, and the only symptoms I have so far are painful breasts and occasional mild period pain type cramps (which I have looked up and am reassured that they are normal and ok!)

Roca · 10/03/2008 23:07

Hi Tammycc - congrats to you! period type pains are soo normal - I had them really badly with DS1 - was rushing to the loo every half hour to check for blood. I actually have them right now - at the end of the day it's all hapnin in the same place that you have a period so not a suprise the pains are similar.

Just think of period pains as pregnancy pains and it will make more sense. Saying that - how ever much you know in your head that it's normal it doesn't stop the worrying. I sooooo want to get excited but after a MC a couple of months ago it's probably going to take me to my 20 wk scan to think, ok we're having a baby!

I should be working as do lots of hours from home so I can have kids in day - best get on - am usually up til 1ish so dread when the tiredness really kicks in - I will just have to have a catnap early eve to make it through!

Anyone else out there?

kegs82 · 10/03/2008 23:19

Hi. Congrats to everyone. Can I join in? Just confirmed today expecting my 3rd which I think on 14th Nov. Already have 2 DD's. So far feeling slight nausea which seems early compared to last time and period type pains. Fingers crossed we all have it easy.
