RUMPEL yep you are right you do just find ways to live with it. It has been 15 years for me and I thought I was living with it. Finding out I was pregnant was magical but has brought it all to the forefront, I believe my way of coping was putting her metaphorically in a little box in my head. Now I am having to deal with emotions I did no deal with before. I am feeling positive though there is just that little ache in my heart and my arms If you understand what I mean.

libralady My SiL was flying for work up until 36 weeks when the little man put in an appearance (they were totally unprepared LOL She was hot stopping work till the end of that week and had a important meeting the following day. So it must be possible to find it.

(((cass66))) You may be a little tired and hormonal but from memory it is a stage they go through. Your 3year old is probably beginning to understand that her world is changing but she is at that age when she finds it hard to express and is not quite sure how to handle it so she is being uncooperative. I would say she is testing you just try and be patient and reassuring as I am sure you are already being.

RUMPEL · 08/03/2008 15:02

Hi All,

SWEETKITTY - ta for that, it is just a bit yucky but otherwise doesn't bother me. Smells like you have an infection though or like an old woman who doesn't wash properly It is the B vits that make your pee bright yellow.

CASS - hugs to you. Know how you feel a wee bit. I am pretty miserable when pg and you do feel guilty when you are unable to be nice/play with your LO and are short tempered. Just as well they love us and have short memories/attention spans

LIBRALADY - where is that?

KAZ - I always wonder what my LO would have looked like? Especially when you have 1 afterwards. I am thinking newbie will have brown hair, hazel eyes and look a bit like me. We were sure DD would have red hair as mine is and DH's beard is red, red in family etc but hers is blonde and she has grey eyes like her Daddy. She looks like her Daddy but has my personality

LAZYHIPPO - how are you?

MONKEY - hope all is okay with you.xx

Take care all.xx

Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 16:11

RUMPEL I thing Olga would have looked like her Dad dark hair brown eyes. This one not sure blue or blue grey eyes because both me and their dad do but I suspect they will follow my family traits because babies seem to so brownish hair and kind of like my brother when he was small LOL

Me as a child Me and my brother My brother and grandfather Mum and her brother

pigleychez · 08/03/2008 16:21

Love the photos Kaz!

Ive just uploaded a pic of yesterdays scan onto my profile page if any fancies a look.

Off to a Casino tonight for a friends birthday. Had major issues of what to wear!- As i always do anyway but harder now with a bump to dress too. The other women are wearing dresses so wanted to too but didnt really want to buy a maternity one that i might not wear again!
After hours of trying everything on i found a dress to fit over my bump (tight fitting one). I look ready to pop in this dress though- its makes bump look HUGE!

Hope everyones well and enjoying the weekend

I love looking for family resemblances, I have mousy brown/blonde hair and blue eyes, DP has brown eyes and dark hair, both DDs have my eyes , DD1 has brown hair, DD2 blonde. They look nothing like sisters DD1 looks like me, DD2 like her Dad she would be has image if she had his colouring. Kind of hoping this one is dark but think it will be blue eyed as well. DDs have completely different body shapes and personalities as well. Don't know where DD3 will fit into the mix but I bet you within weeks it will be as if she has always been here and we won't be able to imagine life without her.

Have just had to bite the bullet and order a maternity bra! Normal bras have been feeling a bit 'pinchy' and sore, and discovered a big purple bruise where they had been digging in! So unsexy soft cups for my mammoth chest from here on in....very depressing!

Have been having a pretty low day today as feeling sick and very tired from work (plus the weather is crap and that always makes me feel lethargic!), but just had a nice piece of braised steak and mashed potato and broccoli and feel LOADS better....must be low iron or something!

We (DH and I) have been discussing what LO might look like! we have very different colouring apart from both having blue eyes (so I guess that is a given). DH has dark skin and tans well and black hair. I am very pale and when I was young had very fair strawberry blonde hair, although it is a mousey brown now! Just can't wait to meet them and find out who they take after...although I really hope they have DH's nose!!!!

Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 18:39

kitty there is most definably a family resemblance between Mum my brother an I so much so my infant school teacher said at my first parents day "Oh I don't need to ask who's Mum you are" and looking at my pic (wasn't I a pretty little thing pity did not stay that way LOL) and the one of Mum with her brother (and ones of her when older at school I have) we are very facially alike. We both still get recognised by people we went to school with that we have no seen for years. Baby pics of my Bro as a baby look so like my Dad at that age as a toddler and now he is far more like Mum.

My best friend has 3 not so young now but when they were babies they were all spits of their Dad now the 2 boys are very much taking on her sides characteristics both physically and personality wise they remind me so much of her 2 brothers. Her girl on the other hand is just like her Dad esp personality wise total drama queen Put her pictures of her 3 with pictures of her Sisters 2 as kids and her brothers 2 at the age they are now and you would be pushed to work out who's they were.

bebejones I have been in feeding bra's since 15 weeks they are the only flipping ones I can get that vaguely fit I'm having a feeling sick day too the only thing that is making me feel better is chicken soup. Tried pasta with a fresh tomato sauce and it has made me feel worse. What I really really fancy is another risotto from my favorite Italian sadly they do not deliver

TJuice · 08/03/2008 18:48

i'm wondering what shade my daughter will be. i am really light-skinned west-indian and scottish mix and my dp is african american. i am pale with hazel eyes and he is sort of mid to dark brown (sort of denzel-ish). but it can go any which way. she could get some mad recessive scottish red-hair gene but afro hair! pretty sure she will be coffee-coloured with brown eyes though. those are some dominant genes . . .

another day at bloody ikea - that has to be the last time i go for another 3 years! also bought a nice babydan playpen second hand so am feeling like i am getting organised. (i know its well early to get that kind of thing but if you see a bargain - right?) now its only little bits and bobs in terms of baby clothes, bathing stuff etc. so then i can just chill (that's the plan anyway)

scared myself silly by watching some birth videos on youtube the other night! although some were soooo mellow - like this natural childbirth chick (don't watch if you don't like that kind of thing). she has all her hair out swishing aroudn and sooo easily pushes it out - i thought it was a fake . . .

RUMPEL · 08/03/2008 18:58

Evening All,

There is a website that will do a percentage chance of what colour eyes your newbie will have.
I am strawberry blonde - quite red underneath, was carrot red when born (my Mum burst into tears and told them to take me away as she hates red hair - I love it and wish mine was carrot red again), eyes are hazel, very very pale - no freckles. DH is fair, blonde hair, blue-grey eyes, no freckles. His Mum blonde, blue eyed, my Mum brown eyed and haired, my Dad blonde with red beard and all his family have blue eyes, my Grandparens on Mum's side blonde, blue eyed and brown brown eyed. My Bro was blonde - now mousy and brown eyes. Phew!
DD is the absolute spitting image of my Mum's Dad - My Grandma sent me a photo of him when he was about 10months old (B&W of course) and she is his double! Sadly he left this world 10 years ago now but he would be really chuffed.

I love looking at old family photos and you can see the resemblances running through. I have got a Victorian glass photoplate of my Great, Great Great Granny - I keep meaning to get it made into a photo but haven't done it as yet. My Grandma has old cine camera footage of the family too. I love family history - Who Do YOu Think You Are is really interesting.

Sorry for ramble and hope you ladies feeling poorly again are feeling better tomorrow. Wonder why it is up and down? Maybe it is a release of formones at particluar times of babies development?

Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 19:17

RUMPEL strawberry blond is beautiful, would love this one to be ginger I have died my hair that colour until very recently (let it grow out when found out was pregnant) although I am probably going to have the works when I have it cut next which the rate it is growing will not be long LOL

Mum and I have been tracing the family history and Mum has put together all the old family photos Gran had in albums for me my cousin her brother and her self. One of my cousins is so like her namesake and there are 4 generation between them.

sweetkitty · 08/03/2008 20:35

sweetkitty · 08/03/2008 21:03

I measured myself last week and am only a 34D so really I'm only filling out the bras that were too big for me after feeding DD2.

Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 21:05

Lucky you Kitty I am in a 40L at the moment Lord knows what I will wear if I get any bigger

sweetkitty · 08/03/2008 21:08

40L bloody hell

I've fed two babies for well over a year each time so these little 34Ds work just fine (shudder to think what they will look like after feeding another though, still always Wonderbras and chicken fillets)

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 08/03/2008 21:10

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 08/03/2008 21:12

i hope that sounds ok!! its dp's fault - if he sees a pg woman with tiny boobs he always says - 'poor baby' it'll be starving

he thinks its funny!

sweetkitty · 08/03/2008 21:12

I'm enjoying mine this is the last time they will ever be perky (unless I get a boobjob of course )

OP posts:
Kaz1967 · 08/03/2008 21:13

Believe me I liked having reasonable sized boobs but this is plain daft Mind all great grandmothers were large boobed think it's inherited as well as relating to my weight

Only reason it's a 40 is so the cup size is bigger a 36-38 would be a better fit really
