Re. your post the other day about flipflops, despite having snow yesterday I am wearing my FitFlops today and have painted my toenails in last gasp attempt for one part of my body to look attractive. Also for fond memories of last glimpses of toes. Will someone remind me at 7 months to go and get a pedicure??

Good tip about the pillow. I think that's what I did last time as everything started aching down there. Perhaps I'll put DP down there!! He only has to come near me at the moment and I'm ripping his clothes off, and there was him thinking the trying bit was the fun part!!

I had my hair down at the weekend. Well I say done, just my roots. They were so bad, but at least that's one thing I still have control over!

I can't wait to wear summery shoes. Am wearing lady shoes because of work so have to wear knee highs (that always end up as ankle highs cause my legs are too fat). Isn't helping the swollen ankles atall

Now I long for a few high or low lights, what is story re getting hair coloured during preg, is that old wives' bunkum about dye seeping through scalp, into bloodstream, etc?

Morning waffley one. Will try to reduce posts by not posting triple in one go!

VG - highlights are better than a full dye as they don't go near/on the scalp. If you get it done properly, or buy a chemical free as possible one to do at home it's not too bad. Places I think like toni and guy use vegetable dyes (?!?) that are safe, it's the full on toxic bleachy stuff you need to avoid. I am dying to get mine dyed (ha!) - I have never had it done before, but I seem to be going abit ginger in the sun rather than blonder, so may get blondish highlights. If I can convince DH that is to part with the money! Definatly not at the moment with DSs 2nd birthday coming up [skint]

Hmm will investigate veggie colours by calling hairdresser. Was considering having 1 x treat a month.

Too many messages to catch up on! Just a couple of replies. I also sleep in that recovery type position. I am sure that is contributing to my sciatic nerve pain. It does get harder to sleep like that as your belly gets bigger too.

As for the shoes thing, I am living in crocs. So comy and I don't have to bend down to put them on!

I had a antenatal check up with my GP this morning. I am 19+1. I heard the babies heart beat, she measured by tummy, and took my blood pressure (all fine). She took blood as bloods from last week had been lost (grrrrrrr). I am definately feeling real kicks now rather than just flutters. I have scan in 9 days to find out the sex!

We will probably be on a new thread by the end of the day ... who is 'in charge' of all that? Can I pop in a request for a normal thread title please? The naff ones that float about really make me cringe... TIA

Ooooh, the 'shoe' thing - I cannot wait for flip flop weather! I just wear trainers at the mo., or black ballet type shoes but all my trousers are really long when I wear them! The joys of stay-at-home-mumdom though means I don't have to wear anything I can feel my feet swelling sometimes though, mainly at night in bed or the evenings, they get pretty sore and just feel weird. Really need a footspa.

OK now I either sound

1. like horrible slattern getting an annual pedicure instead of monthly

Re highlights. My hairdresser assured me it's fine to have highlights. She is also PG BTW, due in June. I think more of the issue with highlights is that they may not 'take' aswell that's why they advise against it. But have also heard the problem about if you have any cuts on your head etc...
