Welcome to the second trimester

Hi all - just wanted to add myself to the August baby club. Just over 15 weeks pregnant now with a due date of 20 August. Been trying to find a way to add myself to your list but technology (& foggy pregnancy brain) has defeated me! Any advice? Already have one DS, nearly 4 years. Feeling daunted at prospect of having to drag out all the baby-stuff again but excited too! Enjoying the thread.

Evening......
Day from hell with DD. Does anyone think there's a comparison between two-four year old behavior and teenager behavior? If there is I'M IN TROUBLE!! Oh and potty issues rank at the top of our wonderful fight list. DD's been "potty trained" for a year BUT she's just started constantly wetting herself during the day . That's driving me bloody mad!!! So far she's changed undies.....4 times today. WHF!! When I ask her about it she says, "it's okay momma it's just a little wet." I hate the smell of pee!!!

Have been a bit in the dumps about health of Owen (that's what I've decided to call the little one until told differently by DH). I have no reason to feel the way I feel except I've not SEEN him in four weeks. My next scan is Monday morning....I have the whole weekend ahead of me (pathetic huh?). There should be a law established WORLD WIDE that requires pregnant ladies to be scanned every two weeks for their own mental health!!

Just waiting for DH to bring home dinner. We had homemade vegetable soup and cornbread last night YUM. Tonight STEAK!!! I think I could eat a whole buffalo right now so he'd better hurry up!

Today is my last hockey game until at least September . I need to find something else to do to keep fit or I'll turn into a couch potato. Have registered for local ante-natal yoga classes but don't know when they start. Swimming is always safe but you can only get a decent swim if you go in the evening - and I'd rather curl up and go to sleep! Hmmm, will give it some thought.

Forgot to say yesterday I SWEAR I felt some wallopy flipflops in my uterus as I was marching along with the pushchair! Had to keep stopping and go 'ooh!' every few minutes, DH was highly amused. (Am 16w+4 today.)

does anyone still feel really tired? I'm 18 weeks and by 2pm i am exhausted and can't wait to have a nap with ds.I go to bed by 10 usually each night too.
When will it pass? and does it mean i'll be having a girl??

OH THE SUN!!!! Today was BEAUTIFUL! Tummy has felt wild the whole day. I'm hoping it's just Owen practicing football. 38 hours till my scan . 16 weeks today!! Bigboy I'm tired all the time still but having a boy. The second trimester energy burst hasn't hit yet. Captain a friend explained to me today that exercise was so suppose to be ignored while pregnant........WHAT??? I like to MOVE too much.

Is anyone having leakage from the nork region?? I am - i had a bit a couple of weeks ago, then yeserday when i was getitng undressed noticed a patch on my bra, and this morning my jama top has all sorts of patches. lol. I don;t think I had this as early last time, and I'm thinking soon i'll have to get some breast pads cos I remember leaking through my top by the time i was about 7 months last time... at this rate i'll be able to swim in the stuff soon

TS Good luck with your scan. Btw, are you sure dd doesn't have a urine infection? Might be worth getting that checked out.

Bigboydidit I'm absolutely knackered at the moment and not expecting it to pass. But I do have two dcs already and a dh who is away/working a lot. It is much more tiring second/third etc time around.

Petitfilou,thanks I've been pondering the UTI idea for the past 24 hours. DD was treated for one a few weeks ago...same type symptoms. I think I'll pick up a home test kit today so I have more to go on. Doctor told me he thought a lot of the wetting was behavioral BUT she's not responding to normal displine measures (she's lost tv time, computer time and her princess dresses). That just makes me wonder if it's really NOT a behavior issue. PLUS I just read online that children don't have the normal pain symptoms we have with a UTI. It's just things like this that stress me about being a good mother.

Another beautiful day here today. 24 hours till my scan. YEAH!!!! DD announced to her best friend last night that she had a baby on the way and his name was Owen Fischer. It sounded so cute coming out of her mouth. She's excited to go with DH and I in the morning for the scan. The plan is for her to get a picture to take on to preschool for show and tell. She'll be the coolest kid in class tomorrow!!

ALBS - not yet, but last 2 times it has started at 16 weeks ish. Not sure why it hasn't started yet, but it's good I guess! Happy Mothers Day everyone {{hugs}}

ALBS - not yet but I expect to by 20wks, have just bought one of those vests with a bust 'shelf' in for sleeping in when it starts (ie you can put pads in the shelf.) I remember the first time it took me ages to work out what those little puddle stains were!
Are we allowed to talk about sex yet Dizzy? Just wanted to boast about the fantastic shag I had last night! Not sure if it was a pregnancy super-orgasm or just that DH & I are so loved up at the moment it makes even me sick!

ALBS - no norkage leakage yet. STarted about 26 weeks last time but my friend had this from about 20 weeks with her 2nd.

Morning everyone...

At home today as I had migraine from hell last night and woke up with that 'hungover' feeling, head still throbbing, funny lights in my vision still. So phoned in sick. Boo.

I had a really top Mother's Day...especially the bit when I started wailing when DH walked into our bedroom and turned on the light, it was like daggers in my eyeballs. DS bought up the cool gel Mr Bump from the fridge to make my head better. And it did for a bit.

Ha ha well done Buckets for having a romp in time for Mother's Day, nice gift . No leaky nips yet ALBS.

I have my triple test later today so planning to take it easy until then.

Still no talk about sex for me, am tentatively think might be ok as (everybody throw themselves on something wooden please) haven't had a bleed in about a wk but I know dh is nervous about it too so we'll see! He also did sweet fark all for mothers day (git) so am not sure if in the mood to put out might give him a treat tomorrow night after his exam, after spending some of his hard earned credit on something frivilous lol

only 10wks till my cousins wedding and my autns have me freaking out about what am going to wear - its not as if am anything important to this wedding, the girls are both flower girls and dh will be in his kilt (yum) so hopefully everyone will be looking at them lol

Oh forgot. Went down to my parents' house over the weekend (mmm I wonder brought that migraine on...

Didn't tell them I'm pg. Might leave it another few weeks, maybe get the triple test results first. It was actually really exciting sitting there, with Mum and Dad in front of the telly, with little baby bean movements in my tummy and only I knew!

oh and dd1 turned to me and said 'mummy, it looks like you're having another baby' as she looked at my stomach yesterday! We haven't told her yet due to all the complications but luckily am of the size that she's used to a 'tummy' she's also not daft either though!

god lucky you libby - my sil announced 'christ look at the size of you' when I saw them for lunch yesterday - i hastily pointed out that having been pregnant 4 farking times I was hardly likely to be a whippet like her she's a mare from hell and her fecking manners seem to be wearing off onto 'd' nephew

Well I'm hoping its just my hormones playing up but I'm finding myself being very stroppy lately. I have no patience with DD, and as for DP, I just keep picking arguments. I even managed to convince myself yesterday that I don't want to be with him anymore. We've been together 10 years so I think it's a bit odd to suddenly feel this way.

Please somebody reassure me it's just my hormones. Plus had a little bit of spotting this morning, convinced myself it's my own fault for getting stressed out.

we're only just telling people now. I'm 18+1 today and we told dd 2 weeks ago, and she is merrily spreading the word, but when I have to do the telling it feels like i'm jinxing it by opeing my mouth. But i have a little bit of a tummy now and one person has already asked so not much longer for NOT telling....

of finot london for first time in AGES. meeting a friend for lunch then will pop to primark (nothing exciting- knickers for dd, socks for me and maybe a pair of BIG trackie bottoms for slobbing around in at home while i can still fit into them, and after baby comes)

I'd love to hold out until after the 20 week scan because I almost want to know the sex before I tell them. There's this ridiculous thing going on where my neice is whining that she's sick of her brother and 3 boy cousins and all eyes are looking our way to provide this spoilt brat with a girl cousin. Harrumph. My mother is humouring her by saying 'oh but you're more special because you're the only girl' AARRRRRGHHHH

ah shazza not to worry, your body is busy and you'll be tired, that on top of the stress of mother's day and your hormones - you're entitles to blow off steam as long as you realise thats what it is and stop short at packing his bags and launching him out of the house

of course stress is going to have a negative effect on you too - try not to worry and have a relaxing, feet up day as much as you can

libby she had nephew (he'll be 6 in sept) hated being pg, hated having a baby, ruined her social life etc couldn't wait to get back to work and my brother does most of child rearing - she's doing the world a favour by not having any more

my mother is sooooooo biased towards the wee git man and it makes my blood boil as my girls are so unconditional with their love - am not sure if that makes me want to have a boy or not though - I think I'll happily keep having girls so they can gang up on him when they're older
am FULLY aware am going straight to hell!
