oh oh oh and I forgot, I have a child free lunch in real life tomorrow - will tell you all about it tomorrow night!

TwilightSurfer · 24/02/2008 01:24

Good evening....morning. What a day! I'm completely beat. My massage was heavenly. It was very hard NOT to fall sound asleep during it. Afterwards though I've noticed I'm in some pain from the manipulation. My BIL is a massage therapist in Colorado. He called to check on me and said that's what happens when you've not had one in a while (or never in my case). He said "things" have to work their way out now that fresh oxygen has been reintroduced to my muscles. With more massages there'll be less afterpain. Even with the muscle pain I feel sooooooo much more flexible. Yoga tomorrow should help work out the rest of the "gunk". If I can wing it I'll probably have another massage in two to four weeks. Here's a link to where I had it done...the place was AMAZING!!

DH and DD decorated the house in balloons while I was out. DD LOVES BALLOONS!!! Found two more bathing suits for my birthday (one bikini and one tankini both from Old Navy). Other than that there weren't any surprise Suprises...just the way I like it . Now I've not gotten my package from Hawaii yet, my dad phoned to say he didn't ship it until yesterday. It should be filled with loads of wonderful island finds.

Alittlebitshy sorry about the jaw pain but you're right it's probably related to your ear issue. Foghorn I wondered where you'd been hiding out. VG thanks no word yet on DH's aunt...no news is good news. Captain I've had a headache today too (HORMONES!!!). Dizzy I hope you have a VERY restful evening....SNORE AWAY. Good night.

dizzydixies · 24/02/2008 09:28

TS thats terrible, obviously if you ARE in pain you're OBLIGED t have a massage on a regular basis to sort it!!

I love balloons too and feel maybe at ripe old age of 31 I should have grown out of that

well my kids have done it AGAIN or to be fair I should say dd2 has. she was mightly p*ssed of at going to bed, she does this a couple of times a week, even though she was knackered and kept shouting until about 9.30pm - they were in bed just before 8pm she then proceeded to wake up at (I think) 2am ish and wouldn't go back over for love nor money, if I was allowed to pick her up and rock her I think it would happen a lot wuicker but obviously I can't and dh has very little patience for that. Anyway, she ended up in with us, a rare 'treat' and after half hour of getting my hair leant on/slapped on side of head I threw an exhausted fit and gave her some medised and ignored her - I then spent what was left of the night/morning balancing on the 2inches of bed that was left until dd1 got up at 7.10!!!!! Needless to say am shattered and will be looking like a bag of shite for my grown up lunch, doesn't help that itss almost an hour's drive away too. Was considering pulling out but I organised it, have been looking forward to it and also have her present so can't! Will be in bed before the girls tonight no doubt, thank goodness dh is off!!

sorry for long whinge its lovely and sunny here and the wind has died down so I hope wherever you are and whatever you're all doing.

oh and before I forget, both my feet were swollen last night, anyone else? Am hoping its just because I did too much yesterday after sitting on lardy backside for so long
x

dizzydixies · 24/02/2008 09:35

should have said - hope its lovely where you all are too and whatever you're doing

delerious from lack of sleep

LadyOfWaffle · 24/02/2008 11:20

TS - Happy Birthday for yesterday! Lucky you getting a massage - I have been trying to get DH to give me one for weeks, the list of excuses is massive! Bit of a dull Sunday here - DH is at work I guess until about 3.30, by which time it's too cold to do anything much. I really should be getting on with housework I guess... I'll be back later sometime. x

CaptainCaveman · 24/02/2008 20:55

Headache has persisted all day, which has been nice, head crushed in a vice type pain. Slept in til 9am - dh took ds downstairs at 8am so I dozed for another hr.
Been to church, went into town and bought a pair of work maternity trousers, then came home and slept for 2 hours with ds next to me watching his Mr Men dvd.

I can't believe I still feel tired. Lost is on shortly so will be off downstairs to watch that, then straight to bed!!

Life in my house is soooo exciting. On the plus side, I made cadbury's buttons cakes with ds yesterday, so I am enjoying eating those!

Hope you all had a pleasant day? How was your lunch dd?

dizzydixies · 24/02/2008 21:20

cc lunch was lovely, everyone was really good chat and the birthday girl was so surprised it was great - she is such a brilliant girl it was fab to be able to do something nice for her. On the flip side I ate far too much, 3 courses AND cake then again how often so I get to go out for a child free, grown up lunch

really enjoyed the drive down as it was lovely and sunny and no kids in car meant I was allowed my music at grown up ears bleeding volume!!

am sorry about your headache persisting, maybe time to get it checked? I had swollen feet last night after doing too much in house so done lardy all again today (apart from eating)

ElizabethCM · 24/02/2008 23:04

oh rachandnotfamous, am so sorry for your loss. i hope you and your partner are taking good care of yourselves. you're right, it is SO unfair and so unlucky. sending all my best wishes and thoughts out to you. and to a lovely non-eventful pregnancy in the not too distant future.

Buckets · 25/02/2008 08:16

Hi all, forgot when I suggested the bake-off and scoff-fest that I was going to be out of the house all day Sunday!
Worked 7-2.30, then took DD to a party in town, then we all went to my DB's for nephew's 4th birthday. DB had cooked duckbreasts and rosti and provided a huge catering-sized caramel apple betty. Best thing was I got to take half of the apple betty home as my SIL is on a diet and DB works away in the week. So I have about 6 portions in my fridge waiting for me (elevenses, lunch, tea, supper etc).
Then I sat in bed and stuffed NCT newsletters into envelopes for a couple of hours. Think my energy levels must be improving (had sex on Friday morning too!)

dizzydixies · 25/02/2008 08:33

no need to be showing off with the nookie buckets am hoping to get the all clear from the hosp on wed, think there are only so many cold showers dh can handle

you're on double bake off duty this weekend, I can't do it as having to visit mum os you can take my shift, although - it IS mothers day so we should really be papping the baking to dc and dh's!!

right girls brangelina are officially pregnant - should I give her a call and ask her if she wants to join the board - whats the time difference between here and LA!?

actually, maybe I won't, she was pregnant when I was last time with dd2 and hogged all the media attention then too - selfish wench

bets on for the name for this one then?!?

Buckets · 25/02/2008 09:32

I think Pilo Sh*t is pretty untoppable TBH. Bucketovs Pitt?

PetitFilou1 · 25/02/2008 11:45

dizzy thanks - but I wouldn't mess with dh's granny. She is an original Eastender and tough as nails! My Granny is the opposite. Our wedding was scary

TS Happy Birthday! Am also waiting for the second trimester feeling great bit. Somehow I think I will be waiting a looooong time. I am already thinking about what 'fake glowing skin' things I can ask for for my birthday.

LadyofWaffle I'm planning a homebirth as dd only took 2 1/2 hours. Haven't thought too much about water but I did go in the pool with ds and it does help - so may do it again but suspect I will just get in the bath...

CaptainCaveman · 25/02/2008 12:17

dizzy - saw mw on friday, maybe she gave me the headache? Not so bad today, I think my head hurts from hurting so much yesterday!

Feeling generally crap today, so have bought a cornflake cake to cheer me up. yummmm. Will try not to get crumbs all over keyboard...

dizzydixies · 25/02/2008 12:55

ah CC am sorry to hear you're not feeling great today, I'm doing ok if a little tired - for some reason dd2 not to happy about sleeping through night at moment!

petitfilou I could have her, am mean when I need to be

at buckets name choice!

libbyssister · 25/02/2008 13:57

More showing off... (sorry Dizzy). I had nookie this MORNING. Before work!!! And then I was sat at my desk by 8. WTF is that all about??!

dizzydixies · 25/02/2008 14:54

right thats it am now officially adding nookie to the KK list of things that are not allowed to be mentioned until Dizzy gets some [humph[horny]!

libbyssister · 25/02/2008 14:59

Dizzy, no need to be [jealous] It was the end of a v. v. v. long drought for us...

Maybe you could combine the two? Ring doughnuts??

dizzydixies · 25/02/2008 15:02

well good for you but am still jealous! will suggest it to dh - he likes his food bless him, good irish lad - ranked right up there with his nookie

libbyssister · 25/02/2008 15:04

You'll be back in the saddle soon. Fingers crossed for Wednesday...

PetitFilou1 · 25/02/2008 15:09

Libbysister I am SO not interested in that at the moment..way too tired. Our sex life dies a death during pregnancy But past experience tells me it will pick up again afterwards!

dizzydixies · 25/02/2008 15:12

jesus libby how adventurous were you - don;t be giving him ideas!!!

off to get dd1 - have a good rest of day
xx

libbyssister · 25/02/2008 15:19

Oh god! Not adventurous at all. Just trying to make you laugh

alittlebitshy · 25/02/2008 17:49

Got back ache. urgh. Think I did rather too much (compared with the v little I have ben doing ) today - dusted and hoovered downstairs, did some laundry and some tidying and some pfaffing. I hope that's why. . Obviously still paranoid. Have felt baby wriggling in last few mins though so that's reasuring (I forget - when does baby start to be felt higher up than the below belly button position at the moment?).

was sick last night and before lunch today. Today's was because i hadn't eaten (apart from jelly babies) since brekkie and I seem to need to eat often to not be sick. Note, (tmi) jelly baby sick a lot nicer than many types .

while I'm in cringe mode - is anyone else suffereing from, er, rather a lot of wind, trapped or otherwise?????

dizzydixies · 25/02/2008 17:52

alittlebitshy I have had trapped wind problem all my life, thank goodness my dh loves me unconditionally but have never bothered/too scared to find out whats its related to incase its cakes/bread/buns/sweets etc

just make sure you're standing downwind and carry on regardless, there's not enough room in there as it is so no point in making you uncomfortable by keeping it in!!

sorry you're still being sick - jelly tots always worked for me when pg with dd2!!

enough with the doing too much, feet up tonight and let dh spoil you - whats the point of being pg if you can't pull the pg card?!?

CaptainCaveman · 25/02/2008 18:45

Eww, bloody disgusting cats. tmi alert look away now if talk of poo makes you queasy.....

Got home to find the cat has shat behind the TV. Not just any old shite, runny nasty stuff that f*cking stinks!! Spent 15 mins clearing it up whilst gagging. bleurgh. Dh dispatched to buy more cat litter (can't blame the cats, they had no litter and they had to poo somewhere!).
Do you know what though? My headache has gone!!

ok safe to start reading again -
am borrowing my friends doppler this evening. Am very excited and hope I can hear something! Oh well, if not, I am very handy at checking foot pulses with a doppler so I can check my venous return in my feet instead! (handy being a district nurse you know!) hee hee, will let you know when I've done it!

Stop it with all your nookie talk - as I explained to dh, would he like a quick one whilst feeling like he has got a hangover from hell? No? Me neither.
Libbysister - am impressed though, you must have got up early to get your action in. Don't you already have a dd? If so, double hats off to you for your achievements today!!
