Welcome to the second trimester

Oooo, they all look so warm and snuggly! Most of our newborn stuff is from Tesco - lots of last minute "oh, while you grab some milk, grab some sleepsuits/body suits because DS has sh*t all over his" - DS is only 23 months old but we have about 7 boxes of old clothes! We did get given some lovely baby gap stuff though, and bought some but I couldn't imagine having 30 bodysuits at £10 each (we flew through about 10 a day - DS was very sicky and very leaky!).

lol, while I am remebering all that I remeber him having to wear some pink sleepsuits in hospital (that I had brough just incase) because I ran out of blue! I have quite abit of blue newborn stuff, but pretty neutral so if it's a girl will probably use that aswell - like plain pale blue bodysuits and sleepsuits, and newborn trousers - poor DS was subjected to pink in emergencies It really did suit him though... will scan in a pic when I next remember of him in a pink bodysuit

Well quite. I'm going to buy a cute one for coming home/best/visitors and then as soon as the front door, whip bubs into plain white/grey secondhand cheapo ones

And of course, I know that whenever I want the cute Gap one for visiting it'll be covered in sick/poo deep down in a pile of washing...

But I can daydream.

I love baby Gap clothes. Both my sons wore the same coming home outfit that was sent from the US by my sister. It is green stretchy waist trousers with a white vest top with little frogs all over and a matching little hat. I have tonnes of gorgeous barely used boys baby clothes put away from the last two, but I don't know what sex baby I am having yet. I am itching to sort through it all, and will do in 3 weeks once I have had the scan and know the sex. I am torn between hoping its a boy so I can get out all the lovely clothes with nice memories, or having a gril so I can go shopping!

Matalan basic white sleepsuits are the best - a sensible number of poppers in sensible places and cheap cheap cheap so you can get creative with the tiedye or fabric paints for a festival vibe!

Right can someone suggest to me some things to eat between meals that aren't krispy kremes or similar. I am SO HUNGRY and it is really hard dealing with it when I'm out with the dcs- I'm really trying not to eat junk!

I have about thirty snap front shirts (some long sleeve some short) all in WHITE. The look just like what the our hospital puts the babes in after delivery (only mine are brand new). I figure that's all I'll really need for a few months. I've contemplated sewing initials onto one side to give it some "flare"...DH thought that would be a little over the top. What does he know anyway!!

Just returned from errands. Stopped by BabyGap for a quick peak (and flip through sale rack). Came out empty handed but did look over the nice organic oncies with hesitation. I purchased SOOOO much for DD before she was born and she didn't get to wear half of it. I just can't let myself do that again. {The impractical me will be along shortly.}

Hairdresser fixed DD's hair. All scirrors have been removed from reach so hopefully we won't have a repeat of Tuesday. The cut isn't the greatest but at least she doesn't look like a PUNK ROCKER anymore.

TS Do you mean the big soft pretzels as if so they aren't available much over here. I like your thinking though!

IlanaK am the same as having 2dds already some of their stuff is still pristine but maybe this will be a blue bundle - we could swap lol

am not buying anything until I get some decent good news from the scan results, on on wed and another one 2wks later. I have however, just ordered dd1's first school uniform when did that happen, did I blink?!? more to the point am I getting over the shock that I'll have a newborn a 2yr old and one in school by time she starts in august

evening ladies - still working hard here - have had a mega day - walked up and down hills, been to toddler group, rearranged furniture, decided that if we are having 4 kids their toys can go in the two kids bedrooms and not all over the house, now sitting at PC working before collapsing in bed shortly. Think it is my most productive day in AGES! Hope I don't pay to tomorrow. Still not made it to KK although could really do with one now!

Was in the bath and there he was jigging away, definate little kicks and i swear I felt him flip around too. Oh wow I am a happy bunny!!! (Mr Sweetheart is what ds is calling the baby, be it a boy or a girl!)

I've always been a bit of masterchef addict. LOVE Thursday nights and not just because Friday comes next.

I went through all of DD's baby clothes the other week. She had so much lovely stuff. As she was born in Feb though the seasons will be all wrong for the little 3-6 month lovely summer dresses so from that point of view I don't suppose it matters if this one's a boy.

We found Tesco plain babygros were fab. They were so cheap, but reasonable quality - although they may have shrunk a little - or DD grew even faster than I thought! I wondered about the hat in August thing. Reckon it'll probably still be necessary this far north!

I had my first dream about the baby last night. It was one I remember having last time too, where I could feel the baby really clearly through my skin. Slightly freaky, but woke up feeling quite reassured in a weird sort of way. Definitely thinking it's a boy at the moment.

I thought I felt a few little kicks today, but they were level with my tummy button - don't know if that's too high to be that at this stage. Can't wait for something more definite. Lucky you!

I've come back from the doctor earlier today where I could hear a heartbeat, which was really lovely.

Is anyone else feeling dizzy and faint? The doctor wasn't particularly worried, and told me to eat ready salted crips but the security guard in the supermarket was more concerned when I had to have a bit of a lie down in the middle of the aisle. Probably also something to do with the 30 degree heat that we have here at the moment.

Really good to read all your advice about baby clothes. We haven't bought anything yet, but it will be nice to start thinking about it soon.

Longwayfromhome I'm dizzy alot too. Seems to come and go without rhyme or reason. It happens more when I'm tired and have a headache.....which is alot. I had the same problem when pregnant with DD but it didn't seem to be as often. The only thing I can think of doing to fix it is rest, water and food. Sometimes the food part is difficult because the faintness makes me feel sicky.

Petitfilou for me any pretzel will do when I need a food fix...as long as they are salty. I'm not sure if you have the following in the UK but my all time energy boost secret is a Snickers and a V-8. Nothing perks me up like that combination and lasts way longer than a cup of coffee. It's a perfect snack!!

It's Friday in a few hours. YEAH!! One day closer to my birthday which means one day closer to MY MASSAGE!!! {oooo movement in the belly the kids are active tonight aren't they} Anyway, MY MASSAGE IS SATURDAY!!! ONE FULL HOUR!!! NO INTERRUPTIONS!!!

morning all!
Am determined to have a positive day today! Came downstairs this morning and was so pleased with my reorganised efforts in the dining room now it is more family and less kid friendly! that it has spurred me on to keep going! So it is a toy sorting day today as well as a ton of washing. Hopefully if I get the bedrooms done today, DH will sort out the shed and cupboard under the stairs tmw and I can clean with the kids (always a joy!) and I can relax tmw night in my nice organised house - well it might not be organised by then but hopefully on its way!

gigglegirl you're putting me to shame I have to sort the house too and I mean SORT it. we've got friends coming to visit tomorrow and they're house is immaculate, white walls, white carpet not a speck so am hoping that will spur me on to at least to te public rooms, only problem is am meant to be on lardy arse and have arranged to meet friend for coffee this morning and am on MN and already and its not even 9am

feeling a bit sicky but hoping breakfast will sort me out. pouring with rain today so packed kids off to nursey in wellies and not inspired to do much else!

Had a friend and her kids round for tea yesterday and this morning I found her youngest had posted half a dozen socks from my clothes airer out the catflap - aaaahh. But get this ladies: my DH had already been out the back door for a fag this morning and had stepped over them twice without picking them up or even mentioning them!!!
