Morning everyone. TwighlightSurfer, Buckets, thank you for more steak cooking advice. I am in Argentina and so there is plenty of steak here, and it's very helpful to have lots of recipes!

i have never ever tasted a KK. But when i nwxt go to Vluewater, I will go in to the shop there and sample. In fact am going in about 10 days with sil - we're going to have a maternity clothes moment.

I had to buy a pair of mat jeans todfay though. Have my trousers done up with an elastic band right now, so had to do something. Not v many shops that do mat wear in my local town, so ened up with a pair of jeans from dotty p's. they should do the trick! Think i'm going to go and put them on in a moment. Bliss!

Just updated my next appt and gender prediction, I've now decided I'm having a boy thanks to my dream.

Ok have decided to put my head above the parapet now I feel more confident about this whole pregnancy thing, scan was all ok (a lot of fun actually once I had got over the shock)and intial testing etc looks positive. I am first timer due for 21/08 ish, feeling nervous, shocked, happy, HUNGREY and have NO libido . Other than that no MS to speak of (sorry!) and a supportive DP who, in my opinion, has no idea what is going to hit him come August! So hello to all of you and really pleased to be here!

Welcome Half French - so glad the scan was OK and you are feeling Official now! My due date has been moved forward to 21 August too - am hoping to squeeze in another Leo as well as me and DD!

Well, I have to tell you I am feeling super-glossy today as finally got my very long hair cut after months and months of moaning about split ends. The laydee had to take five inches off to get back to the healthy stuff so it's shorter than I've had it for years but she blowdried it beautifully and I feel all swishy. La la la.

DH found a BK bag in my car when he borrowed it last night and asked for an explanation - I lied and said it was just a little tasty cheeseburger, when in fact it was a full-on whopper with cheese meal...

my uncle's getting married next week (bridesmaid dresses are almost finished hoorah!) and his fiance has told me that i have to stand at the back for the photos with her fat friend because i'm looking fat! i was a little cross! i'm not fat at all, i'm a blooming flower with a bud inside me!
i'm 17+3 (i think!) and i am definitely looking pregnant! girls at work keeping shrieking at me in a good way with comments like "oooh you're really showing now"

i'm really missing wearing jeans so perhaps i will get some maternity ones. now the bmaid dresses are almost done i can start making some clothes for me
i'm really quite excited about wearing something that fits and isn't made out of jersey or lycra!

think i've felt movements, not sure, guess i'll just have to wait and see!

i'm absolutely addicted to hot water with a couple of dashes of lemon juice. its so refreshing but i can feel it rotting my teeth. anyone else come up with any alternatives to a nice cup of tea? pre-pg i was drinking 6/7 cups a day so finding it tricky to know what to drink when my DP's having tea and i've already had my quota

Miamla have you tried decaff tea? Or the twinings fruit teas (preferably ones that don't smell of cat piss!) I'm finding caffeine definately makes my headaches worse.

Initially stopping caffeine can give you withdrawal headaches, but having stoppped it, I now get headaches from drinking too much of it!

My work trousers which fitted me last week are bursting at the button this week! Definately looking pg as stomach muscles have given up the ghost of trying to hold it all in! Think this will be my last weekend playing hockey until next season. Starting to feel like I'm squashing something every time I bend over - that will be the baby then!!

One BK burger is nothing. I sneak in a mid-morning something almost everyday. It's my 3rd breakfast (just before lunch-time). Then, if out, I sneak in a mid-afternoon something. If I keep count I'm probably eating seven times a day. "The baby needs the food."

Welcome half french How odd, I never have Burger King but yesterday I craved it like mad. Infact, not you meantion it I really want a BK burger - gonna text DH to bring one back if he pops home I am craving red apples now though, proper red apples that DH can't find anywhere - only the half red/half green ones. My appetite hasn't really returned yet, I sometimes crave somehting but other than that I just try and stuff something down - by this time last time I was hungry all the time, I would eat 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners! Has anyone felt movement yet? I keep thinking I do, like bubbling but then I heard after you have a baby you do get flutterings around there - blood vessels or something? Has anyone started buying things yet? It seems so soon, but then we are about 1/3rd of the way through! I have no idea what a going home outfit for a newborn would be in the height of summer - DS was born in March and went in a short sleeved bodysuit, sleepsuit ontop, newborn stretchy trousers and a cardigan and bonnet - do they still wear hats home in the summer?? I don't really have alot to buy this time I don't think - glider chair, moses basket, few neutral newborn clothes, sun shade thingy for the pram and some new parts for the breast pump and newborn bottles just incase - I don't think you can reuse them from over 2 years ago? Esp. not the teats anyway... I am totally clueless again!

lol @ diaper. It's probably alot hotter where you are (I forget, have to scroll and look), although DS spent his 1st summer in just a nappy most of it.

Oops..diaper/nappy you know what I mean . YES it will be VERY HOT here. August can get as high as 100 degrees F. Plus is HUMID. At times you feel like your walking around in a lukewarm bath all day long. ICK! So my little one will be in as little as possible, for sure.

LadyofW ? I've seen the CUTEST babygros and sleepsuits in Gap, all cream with animals embroidered on the front, I think they might be organic cotton too. Stupidly expensive but I'm gonna buy at least one! I don't care that there's all DS's cast offs in the loft!

I've looked at those GAP ones too. So cute but yes quite expensive. I tend to buy baby gap things once they go on sale.
