Welcome to the second trimester

Hello all, according to the map the nearest Krispy Kreme doughnut store to me is only 4809 miles away ... fortunately I still have a jar of marmite from my last trip to the UK and so I'm off to have some marmite on toast while I think about doughnuts. Hum. Not quite the same ... Not much news from here, although I have bought two new enormous bras. Greetings again to everyone

got sooooooooooo much to do today, not least getting into the shower, collecting kids, dd1's swimming lesson whilst trying to amuse over tired dd2, tesco shop and get a valentines card for dh - am sap I know

so can someone tell me please why am STILL poncing about on here instead of sodding off and being productive!?!??

CC - Just looked at the website and apparently there is a KrispyKreme in Southampon, (think it's replaced the much-missed Cinnabon bar.) I'm going into town on Sat am to get me boobs measured, could buy you a box and post it that day if you think they'd still be tasty 2 days later. You could just Paypal me the money once I know how much it cost.

I'm not feeling quite so queasy all the time but am entirely unmotivated to do anything at all. House is still amess and needs tidying so DS can sleep in his own room again. Sun is shining so I feel guilty for not playing outside. Getting my eyebrows waxed would cheer me up but nobody would come near them with this conjunctivitis! My life still revolves around meals and snacks.

Oooh we have two KKs in Oxford, one in town and a concession in the local Tescos. Spoilt.

i still haven't felt any movements (16+1) but they do say its a bit later for a first child.

I was chatting with my DP last night about how i feel so relieved that we heard heartbeat yesterday. He laughed at me and said that there was absolutely no way that things weren't ok if my hormones were anythign to go by. I don't know what he mewans I haven't been at all hormonal..honest!

right, i'm off to my friend's to play with her two yr old. Friend is also pregnant (due early july) and in dire need of a break from her little monster!

LOL at KK donut chatter, they do not last a minute in this house as DH loves them much more than i do and shouldn't as his osteopath has him on a wheat/dairy free diet! Very naughty.

PetitFilous - Will you miss London do you think? I was born and raised in West London and then settled in another big city and thought that when DH and I got married i'd miss city life but haven't at all. We drive down to London when i'm feeling a little nostalgic but it's not the same anymore.

Congrats girls on more fab scan news. Lovely to see those bouncy babies again. I had a letter in today to see ocnsultant re: c-sec etc.. first week of April so will hopefully have a date then.

Buckets - Have been feeling like that on and off. I took the DC upstairs today giving them various things to do and toys to play with and got on with trying to see the bedroom floors again, mission accomplished but wonder why i bother sometimes, DC have everything messy soon after

Well now that i've gone mad cleaning and washing windows i think it is time for a rest and something to eat. Am starving constantly.

I thought I felt a few movements last week but dismissed them thinking there was no way I would feel anything so early. Maybe I did... Now worrying that I haven't felt anything since and slightly worried about the poor bean who's been constantly thrown around for the last few days with my incessant coughing.

Still off work and feeling guilty and rough in equal measure. DH being fab at looking after me and DD, but showing signs of going down with it too now. Oh joy.

So glad the scan went well Pinchypants. I celebrated ours by getting the maternity jeans out when we got back and intend to buy another pair this weekend. How I love elasticated waists! (Things you never thought you'd say...)

Thanks for sharing, TwilightSurfer & petitfilou - I'm glad I'm not alone with this belly thing. I've only felt it three times, each time when I did a big yawn (you know how it is, 3am when you've been woken up for the three millionth night running by your toddler and you have a nostalgic yawn... then think blimey what was that?!). Each time like a butterbean doing a somersault on a highwire. And nothing now for over a week. Ho hum. Friday will tell all no doubt.

I felt the baby this time as early as about 10 weeks. But this is my thrid baby. I am feeling more regular moements now each day. But it is usually once I have settled down in front of the tv for the evening and am sitting still and quiet for a while.

Lol at CaptainCaveman, you're not a bad person! I think I would probably get amazing amounts of satisfaction from people being wrong, esp if certain people were wrong people!!

I don't know if it's wind or a muscle twitch, but I've had a weird feeling - low down on my right hand side today and it's happened about 4 times today. It's not a bad feeling or pain though. Bear with me here on the weird explanation(!), but it feels like a bubble rising outwards, up to the surface of my skin. I'm 13+6 so don't think it could be the baby already could it? It's probably just my overactive imagination and desparation to feel my baby move!! If it's wind, well thank goodness it's finally on the move, even if it's not made an appearance yet! Sorry if tmi!! xx

CC am not discouraging you from trying Ilanak's cunning tactic but remember please am on feet up rest and permanently parked lardy arse on sofa and its not working for me so don't be too disappointed if it doesn't - that saying dizzybaby 3 does have rather a lot of space for manouver and may just be playing hide and seek

hazie it could be wind but if you haven't been merrily pumping away then its nice to think that hazie baby is on the move - enjoy the flutters as very soon you'll be getting lumps knocked out of ribcage and bladder lol

just seen the nearesy KK to me is a drive through at trafford centre - 40 min drive there, 40 min drive back! Hmmmm may need to a)find an excuse to go or b) oile kids in the car hope they fall asleep and go anyway. Mind you it is open til 2am so I could always go for a midnight drive - would have to be awake though!!
