Morning

Had the best nights sleep for about 4 weeks, could have slept on but have to get up to go to library for the morning to catch up on all the homework I havent done.

I think I will have to get through the first year of my degree which finishes at christmas and have a break. I already feel guilty because I keep kicking the family out so that I can study,it will be impossible to get through with a new baby.

Never mind a mothers job seems to be mainly guilt and sacrifice.

iuseantiageingstuff · 23/02/2008 09:36

Sorry !!!!!!!

I just feel like I moan all the time at the moment.

We told our children the good news last night the eldest just shrugged his shoulders and said "cool",our youngest said "great we can go shopping and buy baby things"
The middle one flew out of the room and
said"you are both a disgrace"

It took him about 2 hours to calm down and he is gradually getting used to the idea.

morning!
I think I'm about to make myself a HUGE bacon buttie and cup of tea. Even though I've just eaten a mahoosive breakfast.... I think I could eat the world at the moment. In between feeling seasick
Sambrads, I'm with you on the tired thing. I will think of you as I rest between bites of my buttie. tee hee. You crazy (but impressive) woman. TRAINING?!
Bethoo - I'm exactly the same as you with the bfing, dh just turned one this week, and I think I'll just let him keep going until he stops. I've had no boob symptoms really either. I mean, it hurts when he chomps down with his little teeth. But then, it would, wouldn't it?
myjobismum - good luck getting to that milestone. I am being a bit rubbish and have no idea how many weeks/days I am, I kind of like not counting at the moment.. seeing the GP on Monday tho, so she'll tell me
cantsleepwontsleep sorry but your last post made me smile, given your name...
and hello to everyone else. Happy bean growing!

Spink · 23/02/2008 09:39

iuseantiageing how brilliant to be a DISGRACE!!! I can only hope to reach such dizzy heights! good luck with the homework this morning, poor you.

mariekg · 23/02/2008 10:30

Lozza70 · 23/02/2008 10:35

I've just had a bacon buttie and I have to say it was fantastic!! Just pulling myself together to start tidying up the house after a week at work.

Symptom update - only sore boobs and eating like a horse today

hedgepig · 23/02/2008 11:25

Morning, Im just waiting for my mw to arrive for my booking appointment - how civilized is that on a Saturday morning? Had my scan yesterday to check out the bleeding and everything was OK they can't see a reason why I'm bleeding but the bean is ok, I heard the heart beat and sobbed my eyes out

iuseantiageing well done on shocking you kids! there is 14 years between me and my youngest brother and when mom and dad told us my other brother said he would prefer a dog! Great name by the way.

Lozza70 · 23/02/2008 12:44

Really glad everything is okay Hedgepig

07mumstheword · 23/02/2008 13:22

Hi I've just skim read so apologies if I've missed anything important.

I didn't get on here yesterday, I had a little bit of spotting and cramps. Doctor sending me for a scan but not until Monday morning. I haven't bled since yesterday lunchtime and cramps have gone so I'm hoping all is well. But at least I get one of those early scans I've been banging on about

I have also been sick yeah!! I never thought I would be so glad to have sickness

Hope everyone else is ok.

loulou33 · 23/02/2008 18:31

Hey all,

Hedgepig - that's so cool. You must be relieved.

07mtw - hope all goes well at your scan on monday and good news that the bleeding has stopped. i have a scan on thurs before work so i hope it goes ok....

Still feeling a bit sick - it only really bothers me when changing ds' nappy. I have never gagged etc when changing his nappy - not even the really gross ones but this last week, just the vague whiff of a dirty nappy has me gagging. the only way to avoid being sick is to suck a mint and put 2 bits of loo roll up my nose whilst changing him - poor child will develop a neuroses about his poo!!!!

Yay for scan hedgepig. Hope yours brings equally good news mtw.

at your day pistachio. I was awake for 2.5hrs in the middle of the night, still had to get up at 7:15 when dd did, and have been entertaining her, as well as an old schoolfriend (dd's godmother) all day, with only a 30 min break when dh grudgingly took her for a walk so that I could have a bath without her demanding to join me.

Dh complained that I said I was too tired to sit at the table and eat dinner tonight . Anyone else's dh just not get the tiredness thing?

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/02/2008 20:18

myjob - surely you're 8 weeks on Monday, not tomorrow, as those of us due on 4th are 8 weeks today?

twinklytoes · 23/02/2008 20:27

can't say dh gets the tiredness here either. It was me who got up in the night to dd2 and then on the early up with dd1. and when he did awake at 11 wondered why I hadn't started the ironing.

twinklytoes · 23/02/2008 20:28

must say he has since redeemed himself and done all the ironing and furnished me with tea and biccies all afternoon.

I shall try your description on dh pistachio, and see if it has any effect . That's a great sleep from your dd. Although my dd has managed 11 hours a few times recently, that is longer than she normally does even now, without an afternoon nap.

No wonder I was confused myjob!

I'm really not the best person to ask that question, as I am very overweight, so wouldn't notice a baby belly early. Some of my trousers have got noticeably tight though, so I'm wearing lots of loose stretchy fabrics.
