Has anyone on here given bith @ Royal Berks??

hansnava · 21/02/2008 15:09

hedgepig yes i do have a girl and the only time i was sick with her was when i ate nearly a whole jar of pickled onions and my body violently rejected them {havent been able to eat them since}

im not actually being sick just really feeling it have run to the loo to wretch a few times but nothing is coming up [sorry tmi]

i just hope this all means theres something there at my next scan

twinklytoes · 21/02/2008 15:23

welcome helen.

haven't given birth there but was born there!

know friends that have delivered at rbh. never heard anything bad yet.

perkypopsy · 21/02/2008 15:26

Hi everyone I am pooing my pants constantly as we lost ours at 10 weeks but only found out at 13 - this waiting is a nightmare - I have been considering a private scan after 10 weeks but I'm worried that won't be enough and I'll just want one every day. When I had my seven week scan last week I spent every hour afterwards wondering if it had died yet - god am a complete nut job . Have started telling famly and best friend - am so freaked out I can't have normal conversations so just thought sod it - they have all been amazing and calm and have just said we're here if you need us and not made a fuss phew!

Apart from all that I am 8 weeks today yippeeeee just trying to keep rolling with it - came home early today to sit on sofa with cat and hot water bottle and feel like I'm looking after myself - my soon to be ex Boss is being complete witch and was all i could do not to write her a very brief email telling her where to go...i did and then deleted it (chicken!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 15:32

perkypopsy - you might want to consider a doppler. We didn't find out I'd lost my first until around 4 weeks later, so I was also rather worried when expecting dd. I bought a doppler, and used it around once a week between my scan and starting to feel regular movements. Was very reassuring.

bethoo · 21/02/2008 15:34

thanks for yor kind wishes. turns out that his heart must have just gave out on him.

perkypopsy · 21/02/2008 15:45

bloody hell bethoo i thought you meant your beanie then - gave me the fright of my life!
Poor dog - I think I'd curl up and die if anything happened to me cat (aka fur baby)

CSWS does that hear the HB? How soon does it work nd are they mega expnsive? My friend has one but she's just had her second MMC so not the right time to tell her my news or to ask to borrow it...

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 15:48

Mine cost about £60 iirc. Yes they hear the heartbeat. They can take a bit of practice, but can usually pick it up from around 10-12 weeks if you're lucky.

perkypopsy · 21/02/2008 15:53

ooh cool - (have been on ebay and found some still at least 2 weeks to go am going to try some chanting to keep chilled...or maybe I'll just have little nap now I'm on the sofa and all zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

newtoallofthis · 21/02/2008 15:56

Can I join please? I am pregnant with my first, very excited and just a little scared!

I think I am 5 weeks tomorrow (due 25 October?) but am not sure. I have my first doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, so will hopefully have more news then.

Congratulations to everyone who is already on here!

MrsTittleMouse · 21/02/2008 17:45

Thank you hedgepig and CSWS!
So it's between £60 and £100 for a scan. Considering that DH is reluctant for me to pay a fiver for another pregnancy testing kit, I don't think he'll go for it! It's because he thinks that I'm being silly worrying though, not just the cash. He admitted that he worried too, but that I'm not allowed to as it's bad for the baby.
Nice to have the thought in my mind though, that I could go for one...

07mumstheword · 21/02/2008 18:13

MrsTittlemouse I was quoted £99. If your DH does have a little worry perhaps for both your peace of minds it's worth it?

Hansavana I'm so glad to hear you are feeling light headed, I've had a few light headed/dizzy spells today and glad to hear that it's normal.

mariekg · 21/02/2008 18:18

hi all how would u go about getting a private scan? im in hampshire any advice?

twinklytoes · 21/02/2008 18:19

thought I'd pop in whilst the dinner is cooking.

first day of queezyiness today, felt rough all morning. wasn't like this last time - maybe its a boy? dd2 is very clingy - do you think a 2yr old can sense pg?

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 19:00

MrsTM - my £60 reply was to pp re dopplers rather than to you re scans!

marie - phone local BUPA hosp and ask if they do them.

Lozza70 · 21/02/2008 19:34

Evening all, 7 weeks today!! Just getting through one week at a time as all my previous MC's have been at about 9 and 10 weeks. Once I get over that hurdle I think I can relax. Speaking of which anyone got any good relaxation tips??

pistachio - i know exactly what you mean! I am really enjoying chatting to everyone on here as no-one in RL knows about bean apart from dh and bf but I keep hearing you all talk about stuff I have never even heard of before! So now I am having panics over all sorts.

Feel so down today with ds. His eating is just so poor and I feel like am at wits end with it. Added complication is that even the sight (let alone the smell) of his mashed up food is making me retch. Not that he seems to want it either. I am so scared that this one will be a happy to starve too. I think I will leave home if that is the case.

Off to the weaning topics with me...

twinklytoes · 21/02/2008 20:57

I want potato now - that sounds yummy. I'm tucking into a box of fudge at the mo.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 21:05

tedmundo - remind me how old ds is, and outline the problems re his eating (or link me to a thread if you've started one).

bethoo · 21/02/2008 21:07

pistachio - all i have eaten in the past three days is baked potatoes drowning in marg (woe the calories!!!)
bee nfeeling queesy and i am so bloated i look about 7 months pregnant!! hopefully i will have been deflated by the morning!!! am so tired am contimplating bed now!! so not like me and i do not even have a book to read! think i hae a sudoku book under the bed!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/02/2008 21:08
