bethoo im not sure, just going off what docs says, I have had pains the last day or so, but then i have been vomiting awfully so could just be muscle pain. Time will tell i guess

ronshar i never ever did have a card to show i was excepmt for paying prescriptions or dentist costs .

i just told them i was pregnant never paid a thing they will know everything is ok

julez - that is a awful predicament you have. i guess that all you can do is wait. personally if you have no pains and no blood within the next two to four weeks i would re test then if + get another scan.

they will scan me again next fri x x teeny bit of hope that ill be back but for now im off to enjoy a nice hot bath with a book and glass of wine! One cant hurt right?

Julezboo, you wiegh up the risks and benefits - its sounds like you are more in need of bath/wine/chill out and some tlc and surely the risks of one glass are tiny?? A lot of people don't even know they are pg in early stages and most babies are ok?? I would look after yourself and see what happens next friday - enjoy your evening and i'll toast an alcohol-free beer to you and bambino!! xxx

pistachio - yep pay for everything down here. my dentist will need confirmation, got quite shirty when didn't have card (forgot it) until I made them look down at carseat and said she's definately 3mths old!

Sounds very odd Julez that he thinks you're going to m/c seemingly without reason (except your history obv). Let's hope you can prove him wrong.

myjob - I would say that it's just bad luck on the dentist thing, but don't think there's any way you can reclaim it.

When you get your exemption card depends on when you apply for it, and how quick your health authority are! I applied last week when I saw my GP, but it hasn't arrived yet. I think last time it took about 2 or 3 weeks to come - was certainly quicker than I had expected.

My dentist wasn't worried about me showing him the card last time though.

Had a mad busy but enjoyable day today as expected. Dd has got the hang of opening presents (!!), and was apparently singing 'happy birthday' whilst having her bath tonight!

cantsleep - i agree, i did not know the sacs had to be a specific shape. i am still having fingers crossed that it will turn out ok.

I'm on No3 and pretty sure we don't get our exemption card till after the first scan round here. That's whats happened before and with DS1 I was at the docs within 2 days of BFP, DS2 I rolled up at about 9 weeks!
My key sympton is acute gormlessness, and it's sooo bad, in the last week I've forgotten to shampoo my hair - just got in the shower and got wet, then got out - was really puzzled thinking "that was quick?", was dry by the time I worked it out. Then yesterday I only put deoderant under one arm .
I hate this bit.
You can't guard against it cos my brain absolutely refuses to pay any attention to me saying - right, you're at work - concentrate! I work in finance - the credit crunch can only get worse with me lending money at the mo!

Pistachio - i think its a scottish, i don't pay for check ups, only certain treatments and i'm in scotland. i didn't get my exemption card till i was about 12 weeks last time i think. it was no use at all last time as i only went to the dentist once and i had no treatment and the gps rarely prescribe things for you when your pg - or not my gp ayway. Even when i ended up in hosp with early contractions caused by a uti, he wouldn't give me antibiotics, just told me to drink cranberry juice!!! Might sell my card on ebay - how much would i get for it???

very good pepperrabbit - will i get a reduced sentence for being pg and 'gormless'? - 'i didn't realise it was an offence your honour'!!!

Still no word on the money then......i'll take that as a 'no'. Will blame you for having to sell my exemption card......

i was so tried yesterday as i was up earlt training for a marathon i am doing and i ended up going back to bed at 3 until 5 then i got up and had a dominos pizza and went back to bed

this time round the tirednessis killing me its like hitting a brick wall

Why would you want to run a marathon Sambrads?? Ditto CSWS with madness query - think you need your bumps felt, as it were?! Off to do battle with ds' teeth - i will not be beaten by 2 year old biting toothbrush. i will get his teeth brushed if it kills him and me.....

Also, got booking in appt tomorrow - can't imagine it will be very thrilling???
