CantSleepWontSleep · 07/02/2008 09:38

mtw - she said it would be fantastic later in pregnancy, but too risky this early as it's so powerful. Maybe yours will do more of a foot rub style like mine did last night?

Good luck with scan Sambrads.

My parents are visiting today, so we're going to tell them.

Julezboo · 07/02/2008 09:58

GL CSWS - i told my mum on the phone. Could really do with a mummy hug at the mo and we was due to go up this weekend but Im not up to travelling 200+ miles

twinklytoes · 07/02/2008 11:39

hi, can I join too. got BFP this am, 2.43am actually. woke up and decided I couldn't wait any longer.

still in state of shock really, wasn't really trying but here we are...

already have 2 dds so going to have to adjust to the shock somewhat.

bethoo · 07/02/2008 11:49

congrats twinklytoes - do you know your due date yet? it will take time to adjust to the idea. my pregnancy was not planned though it was in the pipeline as not using anything! i have a 11 month ds and it will be nice to give him a sibling to play with.

twinklytoes · 07/02/2008 11:55

hi beth. online calc says the 14th october. went over 7 and 10 days with the dds though.

Hello ladies! Just popping over from the Oct 2007 postnatal thread to say congratulations! Ds2 was born on2nd Oct and it's a great time to have a baby - nice dark evenings to help them sleep! Good luck xxx

SydneyB · 07/02/2008 13:47

Oh Lissielou - I'm so so sorry

I've been keeping my head down trying to get to 6 weeks which somehow in my mind is some kind of magic point! Not sure why. Still don't feel pregnant at all. Bit tired but still have a stinking cold and conjunctivitis so hard to tell what is what!

OracleInaCoracle · 07/02/2008 13:48

im afraid i am definately out, however I wish you all the best of luck and i look forward to seeing your announcments in october!! x

07mumstheword · 07/02/2008 15:00

Lissielou I'm so sorry I hope you get a sticky one very soon.

CSWS / Pistachio I had reflexology, she was happy to do it as trained in the pregnancy field and did some "things" differently to usual.

CSWS Enjoy telling your parents tonight

Myjobismum Don't apologise, it helped me as I was experiencing some cramps last night. I'm glad yours have eased and I hope the bleeding is nothing to worry about.

SydneyB I've got 6 wks as a milestone too, I've no idea why as really it should be 12, maybe it's easier to go 6 then 12 rather than 12 straight away

Sam How'd it go?

SydneyB · 07/02/2008 15:44

07mum - maybe that's it? Or perhaps I think you're less likely to have early mc. Know this is not really true.
I have a symptom - a lot of thick CM. Sorry if TMI..

Spink · 07/02/2008 15:49

hello everyone how lovely to see such a big thread already!!
Got my BFP a few days ago and been lurking - decided I have to take the plunge at some point - so I'm joining you if that is OK?
Think our EDD will be around the 11th Oct. We have one ds, who will be 17 months or so when this little bean arrives, if it all goes well.
We've only been trying 8 months, which I've heard is pretty average (still felt like a bit of a wait, after getting pg with ds on the 2nd try).. and tho I feel shocking - tired and sick, and ligamenty, I still can't belive it has happened. I have little moments of realising I'm pg and then I'm SO EXCITED AND ECSTATIC!! Yippee!!

Ok. Enough babbling from me. Hello to you all.
And this is the list with me added (sorry if I've left anyone off, I just pasted what looked like the last list from down the page..)

bethoo · 07/02/2008 15:51

saw gp today and had chat about pegnancy and saw my mw from before at clinic and she said that i had found out rather early and not to register until 9 -10 weeks pregnant and to re test about then as the risk of m/c is higher around 8 - 9 weeks when the placenta takes over. because i have no symptoms it may have been reabsorbed into my body butshe did say that it was very early in pregnancy to have lots of symptoms.
Sydney = i too have lots of cm! keep checking my undies to make sure not bleeding!

SydneyB · 07/02/2008 15:54

Its amazing how different things are in diff parts of the country. I have my booking in appt at 8 weeks. Also, how annoying of your mw to worry you with 'it might have been absorbed into you'. Many of us have no symptoms at this stage and its totally normal! Hang in there.

Welcome and congrats Spink!

bethoo · 07/02/2008 15:57

thanks Sydney - now i only have 5 weeks to wait til something happens. just hope all goes well. and for the rest of the ladies here.

SydneyB · 07/02/2008 16:01

Just wondering, does anyone know when's the earliest they can hear a heartbeat with a doppler?

bethoo · 07/02/2008 16:05

Sydney - i have a doppler which i will be using once get new battery for it. you can start using it at 10 weeks.

SydneyB · 07/02/2008 16:07

Thanks Bethoo - I have a heartbeat monitor that someone lent me when I was pregnant was DD but I was a lot bigger when I used it. Also it was a nightmare as sometimes you couldn't find it and you would end up in hysterical state!

chicken78 · 07/02/2008 16:07

Hello can I add myself in too? I have been reading your thread for a couple of days now but finally got the courage to join in!!
Found out at the weekend that I am pregnant due 12th Oct. I have 1 DD who is 21 months and I had a miscarriage last year so feeling a bit nervous really but trying to be positive as I'm sure they feel the vibes!!!

SydneyB · 07/02/2008 16:09

Welcome Chicken! It's great that there are so many of us here. So good to be able to talk to people here when its too early to talk to people in RL.

bethoo · 07/02/2008 16:10

Sydney - tell me about it, the best thing to do is slather yourself in baby oil and lie down and put the doppler/heartbeat monitor really low in the pelvis, also sometimes when it is bigger and this is more for if no movement, drink something cold and sugary and that wakes/causes it to move.
with my last pregnancy i used the doppler morning and night so the amount of baby oil i used could explain why i have no stretch marks!!!

sambrads · 07/02/2008 16:16

hello ladies i went to the coctors this morning and she phoned over to the early pregnancy clinic and they said they were relly busy so i now have to wait til tomorrow morning at 9

well at least i will be one day more so maybe heart beat will be seen

so how are you all today?

OP posts:
Julezboo · 07/02/2008 16:18
