sam - i feel like it is too good to be true too, cant believe i am pregnant especially as i have no symptoms yet!

Hoonette · 06/02/2008 15:32

Hey Tedmundo. Is Bristol suddenly a really fertile place, or do you think there are just lots of Mumsnetters here?!
I think you have to be referred by a midwife to get a dating scan here; it's not standard. So if you really don't know how long you've been pregnant, you can be referred, but if like me you've got your dates sorted, then you have to wait . That's what they told me last year, anyway.

Sambrads I totally agree that it feels too good to be true. I expect we'll feel differently when we start throwing up.

fairydust2 · 06/02/2008 17:13

Hi and congratulations to Hoonette!

Sambrads - don't worry, I'm sure eveyrthing will be fine tomorrow. You've had morning sickness already so everything is looking good.

Look forward to hearing how it goes tomorrow.

tedmundo · 06/02/2008 19:35

thanks hoonette - i am booked in for the nt scan anyway late march so i guess i will get to see bean before the 20 week scan anyway!

west country ladies must have had a fun January that is all I can say

07mumstheword · 06/02/2008 19:45

I'm with you on the too good to be true. I've been having cramps/stretchy sensations very low down, I've researched it and it appears this can be normal but I'm a bag of nerves. I just need to relax

Hoonette & Tedmundo I had a 12 wk scan with my DD (now 2.10) but that was because I didn't have a clue of the dates. They will only send you for a 12wk scan in the Bristol area if you don't know your dates apparently.

Smabrads All the very best for tomorrows scan, I'm sure everything will be fine let us know how you get on.

myjobismum You met your MW already? I'm not supposed to even phone for an appointment until 8 wks and they will probably want to see me 10-12 wks.

OracleInaCoracle · 06/02/2008 20:25

well, not too good today, had a tiny bit more brown today, did a HPT and bfn, so think i'll be leaving. but obv not another mc. think a chemical pg. strange thing is, i still feel pg. no backache or cramps, feel sooooo sick and hormonal and had a few light-headed spells today. i really dont know whats going on. wish that if af is coming and beanie didnt stick around it would just get over with. think i shall retire from this thread until i know whats happening, wish you all luck!!!

07mumstheword · 06/02/2008 20:26

myjobismum - do not worry, i too suffer from cramps and not much else, i was worried and today i looked through my pampers pregnancy diary which i got in my bounty pack and it turns out i had cramps then and was worried about no symptoms as i did not get them til at least 6 or 7 weeks. so i am feeling a bit more positive. are the cramps mild or severe?
though already i have my first bout of thrush!!! yes i seem to be constantly riddled with it during pregnancy!

hedgepig · 06/02/2008 21:26

I've been having cramps for a few days on and off just like my period is about to start. I saw my GP yesterday and she said not to worry unless it was prolonged (couple of hrs)

Julezboo · 06/02/2008 21:33

Lissie - Im sorry

Myjob - totally normal

I am still being sick, I took a washing up bowl in the car with me on the school/work run and had to pull over a few times to throw up !

night night all xxxxxx

fairydust2 · 06/02/2008 21:54

Sorry Lissie

Don't worry myjobismum, I've had it too! It's probably just your ligaments stretching.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/02/2008 21:57

Oh lissie .

I'm in a village too, and was offered appointment with midwife last Friday, but it didn't suit me, so going on 15th instead (she's only at surgery one morning a fortnight).

Had reflexology (or massage) booked for tonight, and stupidly thought that she'd just be able to use different oil and miss out a few strokes, but apparently she can't do either until after 12 weeks. She gave me a foot rub using talc tonight though, as she was here by the time I told her I was pregnant.

hedgepig · 06/02/2008 22:18

I have to ring the mw but forgot to take the number to work, also it is a bit of a problem to make a discrete phone call since we are open plan.
I am very happy after seeing my gp yesterday since the mw at the surgery has change since my last pg, hopefully she will be able to tell the difference between a head and bottom .

07mumstheword · 07/02/2008 08:18

Myjobismum I had horrid cramps last night too but seem to have gone this morning. It felt more stretching than AF arrival for me. It's so reassuring this is normal. I just feel bloated today.

CSWS I have my second reflexology session booked for today. Apparently she specialises in pregnancy and labour so I've been under the impression she will so something to help all through my pregnancy. Why did yours say she couldn't do reflexology? I'm a little cautious now.

Hedgepig Good news the MW has changed. Hopefully you'll feel confident with the new one.

Sambrads How are you feeling today. What time is your scan?

sambrads · 07/02/2008 09:10

hi ya mumstheword i get my scan at 12.00 soi will let you all know how i got on

i am feeling so excited and nervous but hopefully all will be ok .

Julezboo · 07/02/2008 09:13

Good Lcuk Sam gotta love the bloating!

I feel sooo rubbish today, I have a horrid cough whcih kept me up half the night, the other half i was peeing/throwing up. I have been sick twice already this morning, I feel shakey and weak too I hope hope this doesnt go on for the next 8 months or so !

I am just waiting for my DS to stop saying "ha ha" at me and go to sleep in his travel cot then I am gonna go back to bed

07mumstheword · 07/02/2008 09:22

All the very best Sam looking forward to hearing all about it.
I've got a friend who couldn't do her trousers up by the evening very early in her PG

Julez Wow the MS is a good sign but I'm so sorry you're feeling so rough with it.
The same friend I mentioned above spent a week in hospital with severe morning sickness as she couldn't even keep water down. Do seek help if it gets too bad.
