@BabyBird20 it really is! I experienced bleeding with both losses and with my DD so I've just got to sit tight and see what happens as it could go either way. I haven't bled anymore so we'll see.

Your 3+ digital looks very promising!

Sunsh1ne87 · 31/03/2022 22:39

@BabyBird20

After a couple of stressful days you inspired me *@Sunsh1ne87* to get a cab digital with weeks and it's come up as 3+ which was a huge relief!

@LittleMrsMama and @Stargazer89 Im getting the odd bit of spotting again today so still a bit worried but going to hold out til 6 weeks before ringing gp I think 😬 like the idea of booking an early scan for the end of next week so I'll be 6+4/5 I think. Hope I can hold out that long!

Yay that's a beautiful sight
LittleMrsMama · 01/04/2022 06:41

@tuscanleather and @BabyBird20 how's the bleeding today? It's such an anxious time, I'm thinking of you both!

Hello all, I got my BFP 2 days ago and am still taking the news in. I think my due date is the 7th of December. My DD is 16 months and I had 2 losses before her, so I'm a bit anxious at every twinge. Hope everyone is doing well today.

tuscanleather · 01/04/2022 07:40

@LittleMrsMama ah bless you! I haven't had anymore bleeding since so hopefully it remains that way. Did a CB Digital first thing this morning and it came up as 2-3 which is good as it was 1-2 on Wednesday. How are you doing?

@BabyBird20 hope you're ok this morning!

@MariaDingbat hello! congratulations and welcome! I'm in the exact same boat, also two losses before my DD who is now 18 months. This thread is great to express how you're feeling and if you have any worries.

Thanks @LittleMrsMama for starting the thread!

LittleMrsMama · 02/04/2022 06:28

Welcome @MariaDingbat sorry to hear of your losses. I also had a loss before this pregnancy and DD is 20 months. As @tuscanleather says, we have lots of people here who also have had losses and children already so may understand if you'd like to talk.

@tuscanleather pleased to hear the bleeding has stopped and that you've made progress on the clear blue, definitely a great sign!

I'm finding it so tiring running after a toddler and being pregnant. I'm 6 weeks and started being sick in the last week and I wonder how much of it is because I'm not resting or putting myself first! I'm also feeling very anxious for my scan tomorrow. I'm worried that something will be wrong or that they won't be able to see something because I've booked the scan so early. I had a scan at 6+0 with DD and didn't think anything of it before, my mindset has changed so much after my miscarriage

@LittleMrsMama good luck for your scan! Smile

sellingupslow · 02/04/2022 16:56

I know I should really stop testing 😥🥺 I should be 5 weeks tomorrow so something's definitely not right.

I feel heartbroken. This was definitely a surprise pregnancy, we have just sold our house and only moving into our new one in Jan so the timing wasn't great when I found out and I cried a lot but then I just felt so grateful and thankful for this little baby and now I don't know how to feel. I know I can't really confirm anything until I've had a scan (booked for the 12th) but I just have a feeling somethings not right.

The dates on clearblue are known for being unreliable. Please try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow too 🙂
BabyBird20 · 02/04/2022 20:12

@LittleMrsMama and @tuscanleather thank you so much for checking in, sorry for delayed reply! I've been really poorly while solo prentice g the toddler this weekend so really struggling! I've not had any more spotting since Friday night but been having really weird cramps in a specific spot on my left side then what feels exactly like period pain low down and around the top of my legs! I just keep going to the loo to wipe ans check for blood 😩😩 Going to have an early scan next weekend I think when I'll be 6+ 5 but if it gets any worse I'll ring the gp Monday I think. It's just so stressful isn't it!
How're you both doing today?

LittleMrsMama · 03/04/2022 06:55

@sellingupslow I'd tell you not to worry but I I would feel exactly the same in your position, which I know isn't something that may be helpful to hear but I think when we're pregnant it's completely normal to look into everything and be really anxious.

The thresholds for each week have a lot of overlap and these CB tests aren't always 100% accurate and could change, especially if you're taking them at different times of the day, are overly hydrated vs dehydrated etc.

I know you had concerns these last few days with line progress too, could you speak to your doctor to see if they can do anything as imagine you're feeling really anxious? I managed to get a blood test done when I had a MC in January, but it started with the bleeding and then I noticed the BFP fade away.

Really hoping everything is ok for you!

@BabyBird20 that sounds like a stressful weekend! I hope you're doing better soon. Really good news about the spotting, I think that's a great sign. I also have some tummy cramps and did when I was pregnant with DD, I think on their own they're not much to worry about, but if you're experiencing pain on one side I'd recommend calling 111 as it's a sign of eptopic, and while I'm sure you're ok it's always good to get checked out. If your hospital is like mine the EPU will also scan for a suspected eptopic from 5 weeks so might also give you some reassurance from after your spotting this week.

Hope you're doing ok

I've got my early scan today, I had a dream it went really badly and there was no baby, my dreams are so vivid no too. I'm now regretting booking a scan so soon as I'm not that certain I'm 6 weeks and I'm worried they won't be able to see anything and I'll be in limbo :(

OP posts:
Stargazer89 · 03/04/2022 08:28

@LittleMrsMama good luck with the scan today. my dreams have been so vivid too and I remember it being a symptom with DD.

scoutcat · 03/04/2022 09:00

Good luck @LittleMrsMama - is it early or later? I'll be thinking of you. Mine is on Thursday and I'm already losing sleep

sellingupslow · 03/04/2022 11:04

@LittleMrsMama thank you so much for taking the time to send such a reassuring post. I'm trying to just forget about it. I've had no cramping/bleeding which I suppose is a good sign and it's all totally out of my control so im trying to just relax and see what happens. If I've had no heavy bleeding by the 12th (my scan) I will go along and see what they can see. Ill be 6+2 from ovulation or 6+6 from date of last period so either way I should see a heartbeat.

Let us know how you get on today, we're all thinking of you!

AlbaGirl8 · 03/04/2022 13:47

@sellingupslow I totally understand your fear, totally natural. Got everything crossed for you that everything is ok!!

Good luck with the scan today @LittleMrsMama xx

LittleMrsMama · 03/04/2022 14:55

@sellingupslow you're so welcome, we're all here for you. I agree, definitely a good sign you have no bleeding or cramping. I hope you're able to distract yourself until the 12th!

Thanks @AlbaGirl8 @sellingupslow @scoutcat @Stargazer89 the scan went as well as it could given it's early, saw the little bean very tiny so will book another scan in a few weeks to check progress before the NHS 12 week scan.

How's everyone feeling? I'm so nauseous and can hardly stomach food. Any good food tips to help with the sickness?

OP posts:
scoutcat · 03/04/2022 17:02

@LittleMrsMama That's good, how many weeks are you?

I'm feeling ok, my boobs are so painful even when I'm sat still but that it literally my only symptom so far. I guess I should feel lucky but it's a bit worrying isn't it. What are we all like 🤣

LittleMrsMama · 03/04/2022 17:45

Thanks @scoutcat I'm 6 weeks. Boobs hurt a bit and the nausea and vomiting kicked in a few days ago sadly :( A friend put those camping hand warmers in her bra during pregnancy for some relief, could be worth a try?

OP posts:
LittleMrsMama · 03/04/2022 17:47

I completely get what you mean about feeling lucky vs being worried without symptoms. Up until this week I felt really tired but not too much else and although I felt like I should be grateful I just felt more worried. Now I feel less anxious with the symptoms in full force but also feel awful all the time. We just can't win can we? Bring on second trimester when things will be better!

sellingupslow · 03/04/2022 17:53

Thanks everyone.

I just did this and this is how it came out so I'm pretty sure the clear blues are giving false results, or so I hope anyway 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Due end November/early December

Looks like a very strong BFP to me @sellingupslow ! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@LittleMrsMama so glad the scan went well! Smile

@BabyBird20 sorry to learn you're not feeling too good and hope the cramping eases up soon. Good to know there has been no more spotting/bleeding though.

I've not had any further spotting or bleeding. I took another CB Digital yesterday and it was 2-3 weeks, which is right based on my dates. I refuse to do anymore tests now until next week as I would like to see a 3+ on a CB Digital. I'll probably book an early scan around 7 weeks. I'm only 4 weeks so still a while yet.

Stargazer89 · 04/04/2022 09:03

@LittleMrsMama lovely news about the scan. I think i'm going to book one for 23rd/24th April. Think i will be about 7 and a half weeks then.

@sellingupslow that looks like a really good line. The nurses I saw at the EPU for my last miscarriage really weren't a fan of the clear blue weeks tests and said they are just more of a gimmick. Although I didn't take their advice and using them this time too lol. It's so hard not to get so wrapped up and all to consumed with it all because we wanted it to work out!

Symptom wise I have tender boobs that come and go and go and the tiredness is very real. I don't think i had it with my DD but maybe it's more the fact that this time i have a toddler to run around after. Feeling bit sick in afternoons but seems to stop when I eat and I am literally hungry all the time.

We are off on holiday with a group of friends so think i will have to tell them the news because it will be pretty obvious when i turn down a drink.

Is anyone still drinking coffee? I know caffeine is supposed to be limited but since having my DD i have become a coffee drinker only one in the morning but do you think that's too much?
