Thank you for the reassurance everyone! I have done another test this morning and I am confident the line is getting darker. Phew! I'm just so paranoid about having another ectopic 😖

Welcome to everyone else who has their BFPs! Congratulations!

Amipreg1 · 25/03/2022 10:18

Good morning 🙂

Which tests are you all using?
I would like to do some more over the next few days to see the line progress but all the reviews I'm looking at are not great. When i conceived my first, first response seemed to be the ones everyone could rely on but apparently they've done downhill!

princessrapunzel · 25/03/2022 18:24

Hey ladies, i got my positive this morning! Im so so happy but trying not to get to excited as only 12 dpo so very early days. I already have a 4 year old but things are already feeling different, i had no symptoms with him at the start, i only knew because of a missed period. I feel so sick and tierd already.

Congrats to everyone else

scoutcat · 25/03/2022 18:48

Congratulations @princessrapunzel! Welcome to the thread 🥰

@Amipreg1 I have been using the First Response ones but I don't know if there are any more accurate!

AlbaGirl8 · 25/03/2022 22:45

Hi all!
Got my surprise BFP yesterday! DC#2, just been officially diagnosed with PCOS earlier this month, was on provera to bring on period before starting clomid…period never arrived, so tested, and there it was, strong line!! 3 tests later, I’m defo pregnant! Can’t believe it. The clomid is still sitting in my drawer untouched! Feeling nervous hoping for a sticky bean after 1.5yrs ttc #2 with no luck!
Symptoms so far are REALLY hungry, allllll the time, lots of pulling/ period like cramps which I know are normal but nerve wracking, a bit of dizziness and headaches, and a lot of CM.
I THINK I’m due 3rd Dec but that’s only if I’ve guessed conception date right…really I’ve no idea, last period was end Jan!
Bursting to tell people but not ready to just yet, mainly because we’re not wanting to tell DD (age 3) just yet either and if we tell people, they’ll talk! So glad to have forums like this to share stories, symptoms and support! Congratulations all, and fingers crossed for us all

scoutcat · 26/03/2022 09:23

Congratulations @AlbaGirl8!! What a lovely surprise! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you!

Your symptoms are identical to mine! My lower back ache is strong today. I can feel lots of stretching! I'm also the most bloated I've ever felt. 🥴

IshaCoco · 26/03/2022 22:24

I'm glad I'm not the only one with early symptoms! I've had loads of period type cramps across my front, super sore (and enormous!) boobs and moments of nausea.

We were out on our yacht (small and old, nothing exciting) sailing yesterday and today and I was definitely getting waves of motion sickness which I NEVER get. Oh well, just the beginning and all part of the fun!

IshaCoco · 26/03/2022 22:25

Also - so lovely to come on and see the new BFPs 😊

IshaCoco · 26/03/2022 22:29

I'm really looking forward to chatting to others going through the same things. We've told my eldest daughter and DP mum, that's all. Everyone else can wait a few more weeks until safer territory.....🤞🤞🤞

Charl881 · 27/03/2022 20:23

Hi everyone please can I join this thread. Due on 3 December if all goes well. DS is 22 months old.

If it’s a girl then I hope the posters above are wrong about sickness being worse with a girl as I had such bad sickness with DS from about five weeks until about 16 weeks. Not looking forward to that!

I will probably book an early scan around eight weeks.

Congratulations to everyone

AlbaGirl8 · 27/03/2022 20:35

Hi @Charl881 congrats! We have the same due date if I’ve calculated right!
I have a little girl, almost 3. Unfortunately I have to tell you I had awful sickness with her from 5-20 weeks!
This time I’m already convinced it’s a boy as I feel so different! Ravenously hungry, not sick, and sore boobs - last time my boobs never changed or hurt at all!
I have the fear the sickness is going to kick in any day, so I’m enjoying eating everything in sight until then 🤦🏻‍♀️😆
At least we all have each other to moan too through the hard days - especially now some of us have DC’s already…no time for couch naps and feeling sorry for myself this time! 🥺

Charl881 · 27/03/2022 20:43

I know I do have to admit I’m worried about how I will manage pregnancy with a toddler. He’s pretty manageable at the moment but I’m aware that might not be the case once he hits the terrible twos.

I’ve just been sick - I’m really hoping it’s because I had too much food today for Mother’s Day but I have a horrible feeling it’s the pregnancy sickness beginning.

BabyBird20 · 27/03/2022 21:30

Wow this thread has really taken off! Lovely to see the new bfps here! Sounds like a few of us will be trying to negotiate this pregnancy with a toddler. Mine is 21 months and I am currently going to bed at the same time as him as just exhausted all the time! I've finally weaned him off the boob at bedtime (he's really fought dropping it!) so my boobs are enormous and painful which could be weaning or pregnancy or a hideous combination 😬😂

I'm not getting the nausea at the moment that o was in the first week of pregnancy but have awful heartburn every time I eat so def something going on. Currently 4+4 and it's going soooooooo sllloooowwwwwllly. I am just wishing days away!

I am going to book a private scan for the first week of Easter hols then have my midwife booking in the second week which i think will be about 8 weeks for me!

Galaxyrippleforever · 27/03/2022 21:36

I feel pretty sick today too but I know it's nothing on how bad I felt with my dd yet. That kicked in from 6 weeks and I feel as though I'm just bracing myself for it!

Sunsh1ne87 · 27/03/2022 22:04

My boobs are sooo achey today. No sickness yet and I didn't really get any with my little boy last time, just a bit of nausea so I was really lucky. The tiredness is unreal though, was out working at the garden all day and I can't keep my eyes open. Is anyone else constantly anxious that it's still really early days and can't get excited about being pregnant properly?!

AlbaGirl8 · 27/03/2022 22:16

@Sunsh1ne87 Yes I’m defo feeling anxious! I don’t know why, I’ve had one healthy pregnancy before and all was well. I know I’m so lucky, but for some reason this time round I can’t relax yet, it’s probably due to having more knowledge this time and after all the time it’s taken us to conceive, I’m struggling to relax/ believe it just yet! Thinking of booking an early scan too, for reassurance!

Sunsh1ne87 · 27/03/2022 22:44

Yes I've booked an early scan for when I'm 8 weeks, would love to book sooner but want to make sure there will be a heartbeat to hear. Need the reassurance. Same as you, one healthy pregnancy before but so many women around me have suffered losses so it makes me wary of getting too ahead of myself xx

scoutcat · 28/03/2022 08:02

I would do anything to go back to the naivety I had when I was pregnant the first time. I don't think I worried once in the first trimester! 🤣

LittleMrsMama · 28/03/2022 08:14

So many new people! Welcome!!! Really great to have this support group :)

I have no idea how far along I am as I thought I was around 4 1/2 weeks but the clear blue has gone from telling me i'm 3-4 weeks to 5weeks+ in just a week. I'm feeling nauseous and been sick twice and then just very tired and chest pains.

I've booked an early scan next weekend which could be too early and cause me to be more anxious but with work and our social plans it was either next weekend or we'd have to wait another 1-2 weeks and I'm just too impatient 😂

Charl881 · 28/03/2022 08:19

Definitely worried but then I worried with DS too. I think this time I’m actually less anxious so far because I just kind of think that will be will be. To be honest I’m just relieved we were able to conceive as I was starting to worry about secondary infertility.

I have some more tests arriving today for peace of mind as my BFP on Saturday seemed quite faint for 14dpo.

scoutcat · 28/03/2022 08:31

I've just arranged a scan with EPU for when I'm 6+4 in 10 days. I'm so excited but 10 days is so far away! Not sure how I'm going to keep busy 🤣

LittleMrsMama · 28/03/2022 10:45

@scoutcat - It's great you've been able to get a scan at EPU. Is that due to previous losses/IVF? Sadly ours haven't offered me one

@Charl881 I hope the tests go well and that line darkens for you!

OP posts:
scoutcat · 28/03/2022 10:49

@LittleMrsMama unfortunately my last pregnancy back in October was ectopic so it's routinely offered for any new pregnancies as the risk of another increases. The only positive to come out of an ectopic I guess!

Charl881 · 28/03/2022 12:50

Unfortunately it looks like I’m out before I’ve even began. Line is barely there on a FRER today and I’ve just started bleeding. Really surprised in some ways as this morning I felt like morning sickness was well and truly here. But also not shocked in other ways because my line at 14dpo was faint.

Good luck everyone else, wishing you healthy and happy pregnancies.

AlbaGirl8 · 28/03/2022 16:06

@Charl881 so sorry to hear that 💖 sending love and hugs x
