How are you getting on @BabyBird20?

@sellingupslow the clear blue has progressed from 1-2 to 2-3 which is in the right direction

AlbaGirl8 · 30/03/2022 17:38

How’s everyone doing symptom wise so far?
I’m waiting in anticipation for the sickness to hit as I had it sooooo bad last time! So far, so good though, slight nausea if I don’t eat often enough but nothing on the scale of last time, as yet! Sore boobs round the sides, which is new for me as had no boob changes / pain last time at all! Lots of stretching feelings in tummy, and so bloated I already look pregnant, which I know is madness!

How’s everyone else doing?

I think I’m going to book an early scan too, but I have no idea how far along I am, thanks to PCOS and no periods! Don’t want to go too early and scare myself if nothing to be seen.

X

LittleMrsMama · 30/03/2022 19:01

I hope you find the book as useful as I do @scoutcat and @Stargazer89 It has daily activities to keep a positive mindset but tbh the first part was the most helpful so far

@sellingupslow they look like brilliant lines to me!! Definitely a good sign. I didn't want to worry you before but when I had my miscarriage I didn't have line progress but they were still fairly faint even at 5 weeks, nothing like yours! Hopefully it puts your mind at ease for now

@Sunsh1ne87 - you are so patient waiting until 8+4! I'm going at 6+0 (I think!) this weekend because I just want to check everything is ok, but I'm worried they might not be able to see anything

@AlbaGirl8 I've had nausea and vomiting here and just feeling shattered, going to bed as soon as I put DD down each night. Boobs are sore and I'm put off food (probably due to the nausea and sickness) but this was the same as when I had DD and everyone is different

OP posts:
scoutcat · 30/03/2022 19:15

@AlbaGirl8 I have cramps, back ache and stretching pains. I also feel a bit sick and have the most sore boobs ever!

tuscanleather · 30/03/2022 19:54

Hello! Congratulations to you all.

Can I join you? Got my BFP today.

I've had a read through the thread and I'm equally as nervous as I also had two early losses before having my DD who is now 18 months.

Sunsh1ne87 · 30/03/2022 20:05

Do we have a f b group?

3ormorecharacters · 30/03/2022 20:24

Hi can I join? I'm 6 weeks though feels like a lot more as I'm an early tester! Due 24th Nov. I have a DD who is 15 months. It took us a long time to conceive her with various fertility treatments along the way (though managed naturally in the end) so I thought it would take longer! It's a smaller gap than I would have liked ideally (DD will be 23 months) and I'm a bit nervous about it - I keep getting worried about things like how bath and bed time will work with two so little. Plenty have done it before though and I've heard a small gap is hard for the first few years then (hopefully) pays off when they're older. Also DH and I are getting on a bit (I'm 37 next month) so we didn't want to wait too long. A couple of my close friends had babies around the same time as me and I know they're also trying for number 2 so I'm really hoping we can have them close together again.

I generally feel a lot more relaxed about things this time round. I spent my last pregnancy thinking of little else, I don't have the time for that now with a 15mo around! I'm excited though and looking forward to doing the whole pregnancy and tiny baby thing for the second and (probably!) last time.

LittleMrsMama · 30/03/2022 20:26

Welcome @tuscanleather and congratulations on the BFP! A few of us have similar aged DC and some previous losses so can relate. Hope you're doing ok.

@Sunsh1ne87 we don't have a Facebook group but feel free to set one up. I quite like the anonymous approach to Mumsnet though as can express how I'm really feeling, especially at this early stage where I haven't shared my pregnancy

scoutcat · 30/03/2022 20:28

@Sunsh1ne87 I'm in the Baby Buddies due in November group and the December one too and it's quite good so far - new people join everyday!

scoutcat · 30/03/2022 20:30

@tuscanleather welcome and congratulations! I know exactly how you feel about the anxiety but we are all here to support each other so please share how you are feeling when it gets too much!

@3ormorecharacters congratulations! Can you share some of that laid back attitude please 😅 I think I need some! I'm not sure about the age gap as my son is almost 4 but it's definitely a bigger gap than I wanted!

BabyBird20 · 30/03/2022 21:34

Thank you so much for all the support last night and this morning @scoutcat , @Stargazer89 , @LittleMrsMama , @MochaHoldTheMilkAndCoffee ! I've only had a few more spots of blood this morning then been manic at work all day and not seen anything else so keeping everything crossed it was just a normal bit of spotting and nothing sinister! I've just finished a round of antibiotics for tonsillitis so there's a possibility it's thrush as I'm really prone to it when on antibiotics 😬😬

I'm 5+1 today and now in a dilemma about whether to book my early scan for 6 weeks or try and hold off til 7 for a better chance of seeing heartbeat etc!

LittleMrsMama · 31/03/2022 06:50

@BabyBird20 glad to hear you didn't have much more spotting since yesterday morning!

I'm very impatient and anxious after a previous MC so getting a scan on what I think is 6w exactly on Sunday, I can tell you how I get on! But definitely run the risk of not seeing anything as you say! What if you went the weekend after this where you'd be 6+2/3? Then it feels somewhere in the middle?

OP posts:
Stargazer89 · 31/03/2022 07:34

@BabyBird20 that's good to hear that you havent had anymore bleeding.

I totally understand about the scans, I was going to hold off until closer to 8 weeks but i think i'm going to get one booked for 7 weeks now because that's still 3 weeks away for me!

I totally think many men get away lightly with all this. My partner was amazing with the miscarriages etc but i think now he can just distance himself and is just like "let's see what happens" etc and is just carrying on as normal. Whereas I am analysing everything!

sellingupslow · 31/03/2022 07:35

Morning ladies, this was my test this morning. First pic was when I first did it and second is 5 mins later. Definitely much lighter 😢 no cramping or bleeding yet. Will do another this afternoon because I remember from my DD that my lines were always darker in the afternoon but even still, I think that's very light for 19DPO.

Stargazer89 · 31/03/2022 08:22

@sellingupslow I think it could go either way at this stage. I will be honest and with my last miscarriage my freer lines didn't really progress but I don't think they ever got as dark as yours. Also it took a long time to get to 2-3 then didn't ever reach 3+ however the nurses at the EPU weren't concerned about lines etc but i couldn't stop stressing about them. i did however have a big bleed that lasted 2 days and was heavy like a period so my story is different to yours. If you haven't had any bleeding or cramping I would keep positive.

sellingupslow · 31/03/2022 12:27

@Stargazer89 thank you 🥰 I did another two now and this is what they look like

They look good! Xx

LittleMrsMama · 31/03/2022 13:59

@sellingupslow the line and clear blue this afternoon look great! I'd tell you to try not to worry but that's the hardest thing to do and worst thing to hear! So I'd definitely recommend trying to distract yourself as much as possible and try not to take any more tests

OP posts:
Sunsh1ne87 · 31/03/2022 15:43

Woohoo test moved up to 3+ today. This makes me feel slightly less anxious. I forgot how intense and nerve wracking these weeks are Confused

Due end November/early December
Stargazer89 · 31/03/2022 16:41

@sellingupslow they look really good.

@Sunsh1ne87 yay!! how many days post ovulation are you? i think i'm about 16 so hoping for a 3+ start of next week.

Amipreg1 · 31/03/2022 17:23

Hi everyone hope you're all doing OK.

I'm 4+4 now I think, it's seems to be going so slowly. I tested positive for covid earlier in the week though so that hasn't helped!

Still got backache and sore boobs, just hoping the sickness stays away for a few more weeks.

Sunsh1ne87 · 31/03/2022 17:35

@Stargazer89 I think I'm about 21, I had Covid 2 weeks before and my cycle ended up being slightly longer than usual so I didn't think we would be conceiving this month as I though ovulation had passed but I think we conceived on 9th xx

tuscanleather · 31/03/2022 17:43

Hope everyone is ok!

I had some light bleeding about an hour ago so ran out and panic bought some tests. I took the attached test about 10 minutes ago. We shall see what happens...

Due end November/early December
BabyBird20 · 31/03/2022 20:27

After a couple of stressful days you inspired me @Sunsh1ne87 to get a cab digital with weeks and it's come up as 3+ which was a huge relief!

@LittleMrsMama and @Stargazer89 Im getting the odd bit of spotting again today so still a bit worried but going to hold out til 6 weeks before ringing gp I think 😬 like the idea of booking an early scan for the end of next week so I'll be 6+4/5 I think. Hope I can hold out that long!

Due end November/early December
BabyBird20 · 31/03/2022 20:28

@tuscanleather I'm sorry to hear you're having some bleeding too! It's terrifying isn't it! I've never been so nervous to go to the loo just in case there's blood when I wipe!
