Thought I’d start this as a follow up from the ‘TTC NOVEMBER 2021’ thread for everyone who got their BFPs! ☺️

@Clodagh21 I'm so sorry you're going through this uncertainty. Have you been in contact with your local EPU at all? They could run bloods and check your HCG levels. How has your pain been lately? And have you had any bleeding or light spotting? x

ajw2022 · 12/01/2022 19:39
@ajw2022 I think there's already a due date calendar down thread! If you find it and copy and paste it then the newer people can add their dates x
Oh I thought that's what I did 🤦🏽‍♀️

ajw2022 · 12/01/2022 19:41
@Clodagh21 Yeah same happened for me. Only really had queasiness until 7+6 and 8+0 when I felt dreadful and was physically sick. Since those two days I've woken up feeling nearly normal and haven't been feeling that sick at all. I know all is well in there because I've been listening to the heartbeat but if I didn't have that I'd be concerned since my tiredness has eased a bit and my boobs aren't quite as sore. Symptoms come and go so I wouldn't worry too much. Our bodies probably get used to the changes to some degree as well x
Hey! Hope you don't mind me asking. How are you hearing bubba's heartbeat? Do you have a Doppler? X

miltonj · 12/01/2022 19:46

@ajw2022 there's a much more updated one with everyone's dates. Think the last one was on the 23rd x

Have I missed anyone? Add yourself if so

@miltonj thank you 😊😊

Clodagh21 · 12/01/2022 22:55

@Caslo I was told that EPU wouldn’t do anything at the moment but i could contact my GP to see if I could get my HCG checked. I havent been having any more pain and ive never had any spotting or anything

TianaC · 13/01/2022 10:45

My due date is now 8th August not 10th, but I'm having a c-section so 7 days before that is the 1st. I don't know my exact booking date for it yet, but I assume it'll be about 7 days before so 1st August. I'll put myself down there.

I've deactivated my Facebook but I'm considering starting it back up just to join the group. Who is it I would @ to get a link whenever I choose to do that? Not sure when/if I'll do it yet.

Thanks!

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining this thread! I’m about 8.5 weeks pregnant and feeling relatively lonely as only my partner currently knows. I have my first bloods etc appointment on Monday.

I’ve been, possibly rather fortunate in that I haven’t had much nausea and zero sickness - as long as I wake up early and eat straight away I’m typically ok, I’m absolutely ravenous though and needing to eat so much food! Other than that I have limited symptoms and given it’s my first pregnancy I can’t help but worry! I did go for an early scan last weekend and saw the little bean and it’s beating heart though!

CountryGirl189 · 14/01/2022 14:29

@TianaC - woo! Fellow C-Section buddies!

Apprehensive about it, but trying not to think about it until muuuuch nearer the time!

CountryGirl189 · 14/01/2022 16:50

Has anyone else been through their booking appointment, then received their notes and there’s nothing actually written in them? 🤔

miltonj · 14/01/2022 17:31

Did you see the midwife writing stuff down?
CountryGirl189 · 14/01/2022 20:45

@miltonj no it was over the phone and then she said I could come and pick up my notes.

But I’ve asked a couple of friends and they haven’t got anything in there’s either, so they might do them electronically now 🤷🏼‍♀️

miltonj · 15/01/2022 16:36

@CountryGirl189 yeah that could be it.

In some places they do the booking appointment in two halves, the first one just to get you on the system and the second where they take all your medical details, family history etc... maybe it's to do with that?

ajw2022 · 15/01/2022 19:45

Has anyone else's symptoms eased at week 9? I mean I'm still extremely tired but apart from that I feel 'normal' some say I'm lucky and to enjoy feeling so well.
we had a private scan last week - everything was perfect. It's just a constant state of worry isn't it?! I had a previous miscarriage so that doesn't help with the over thinking 💭

ajw2022 · 15/01/2022 19:58

@LT543 hey!! We're due a day apart - so daunting yet so exciting isn't it. I try not to get carried away. So scared something is going to go wrong. We also had a early scan last week too which was amazing to see. I'd have one every week if I could 😂

LT543 · 15/01/2022 20:21

@ajw2022 great to meet someone due so close, I haven’t told anyone yet (except my partner obviously!) so feels really lonely!

My symptoms have eased off quite a lot too, I’m just very hungry and very tired at the moment but that’s about it. Have you had your booking in appointment yet?

The scans are amazing aren’t they I’d have them all the time too if I could!

ajw2022 · 15/01/2022 20:39

Awh it's going to be so amazing telling people. I wanted to at 8 weeks but thought best not. These next 3 weeks are going to drag even more!
So I've got my booking app on Tuesday morning over the phone then bloods in the afternoon. I guess then we will be sent our dating scan appointment.
Funny how we've got similar symptoms at this stage. I was up at 5:30 eating coco pops then went back to bed! Omg the dreams/nightmares 😱 are you experiencing this?
Where are you from?

Caslo · 15/01/2022 21:07

@ajw2022 I'm the same, 9+5 today and the only main symptoms are sore boobs (pretty used to that now), heartburn and tiredness. Most of the nausea has gone but it crops up at least once a day for a short while. Headaches are infrequent and I get momentarily dizzy. I had a loss in July too so was so anxious up until my private scan at 7+4 but baby was perfect. I have a Doppler to listen to the heartbeat when I'm not feeling so pregnant and it really reassures me. I guess we're just lucky as symptoms should get easier from this week on! x

TH22 · 16/01/2022 11:00

Hi folks!

Here is the link to the August babies Facebook group if anyone wants to join

fb.me/g/mX042GK6t/IIIyNr0q

It's completely private xx

CatsBooksAndRain · 16/01/2022 23:26

Hello All,

Hope it's OK joining in this late. I'm about 10-11 weeks now, have my 12week scan on 25 Jan and just can't wait.

Symptoms are quite crazy, but luckily nothing too extreme - nausea but no vomiting, cramps but bearable, tiredness followed by headaches usually towards the end of the day - however I find myself really struggle with housework. Sitting or walking is ok, but standing triggers all the symptoms at the same time - nausea, cramps and headaches - so cooking and washing up is a challenge. 😖
We also have two cats, so my partner already has to clean their litter trays 2 times a day and I feel so bad for not helping more in the kitchen at least - he is absolutely lovely about it though. 😍

Wondering what you all do for exercise????💪💪

On every website about pregnancy, gentle exercise every day for 30min is one of the first things I read. But I have a 9-5 job (from home luckily) and it's too dark to go for a walk after work. In the mornings I'm super nauseous and I really don't like reducing my lunch break by half the time! Apart from it being dark after work, also feeling terribly tired usually by the end of the day.
Long speech short: I try to go out for a half hour walk each weekend day, but during the week I'm really just not finding the time / opportunity.
(I'd prefer a walk or some yoga to my work any time, but don't think my boss would see it the same way 🤣)

Would love to read your views about it.

Firsttimetrier · 17/01/2022 10:45

@ajw2022 I lost the most my sickness and nausea around 9/9.5weeks and they’ve not really returned!
We had a scan at 8 weeks and saw the baby and everything was okay, so I’m just trying to stay positive as I know the placenta takes over between 9-12 weeks.
I’ve got my 12 week scan next Tuesday, when I’ll actually be 12+6, so hoping it’s positive but I can’t help but feel anxious after I googled things 😩🤞🏽

CatsBooksAndRain · 17/01/2022 11:24

@Firsttimetrier Awww we have the scan on the same day! Fingers crossed, hopefully all goes well for both of us!!

Firsttimetrier · 17/01/2022 13:04

@CatsBooksAndRain fingers crossed too!

With your post above, I did sweet FA in regards to exercise from week 6 until a few days ago. I literally couldn’t get off the sofa as I was so exhausted and nauseous that I just couldn’t.
The last few days I’ve been doing a 30min walk before work (if I get up on time) and then 30mins on my lunch. I’m also going back to my gym from tomorrow and they know I’m pregnant, so will do lots of modifications and take it slow until my fitness back up to where it was.

CatsBooksAndRain · 17/01/2022 14:48

The gym sounds a great idea. Kind of feels safe to have guidance.
I might try to venture out in the mornings sometimes. After all, being outside usually helps against nausea...
