Thought I’d start this as a follow up from the ‘TTC NOVEMBER 2021’ thread for everyone who got their BFPs! ☺️

@CountryGirl189 great to hear all is well. Its a shame you feel these places don't take you seriously and I'm glad you go the scan. When I was pregnant last year I had reduced movement twice ans I wasn't all that concerned but they always got me in. Another time I went for a review and baby's heartbeat was a bit raised and I had a temp, well that was me off to the unit for the day. I always found the opposite in my expierence. It should be the same across the board!

CountryGirl189 · 19/12/2021 17:29

@twinklesss plain Pringles sound amazing 😍 went to my mum and dads yesterday and my mum asked if I wanted some Pringles, thought fab!… until she got them out of the cupboard and they were the honey roasted ham flavour 🤢

@Theresamagicalplace I’ve had this and was part of the reason I went to the EPU for a scan! The sonographer couldn’t find anything (not even on my ovary!) for what is causing the pain! So don’t worry too much 😊

@Cmacq32 to be fair, once I got to the EPU, they were brilliant and the sonographer was the best I’ve come across! We were in the scanning room for about an hour!

I’m really struggling with digestion. Been super constipated and then the other direction too. Not sure what to do! Been eating really healthy but my stomach is all over the place. Anyone else?

twinklesss · 19/12/2021 19:17

@CountryGirl189 honey roast ham 🤢

@henrysroadprimrose2021 I was exactly the same with my first! I couldn't digest anything properly and suffered with a lot of trapped wind, don't seem to be too bad (yet anyway) peppermint tea might be helpful x

@henrysroadprimrose2021 same here already 😱 I remember well from my first. The slow digestion is due to all the fluid and energy going to the baby. Its brutal.
What I found worked
-eating less
-eating watermelon
-taking flaxseed
-taking lactulose
-using laxido in 2 litres of water and sipping throughout the day.

But in all honestly nothing worked untill she was out and I was back to normal.

I can see me already heading the same way 🙄

henrysroadprimrose2021 · 19/12/2021 21:54

That’s such helpful advice! Thank you. I’ll buy some of those things tomorrow. My mother in law suggested prunes too.
My digestion was never great to begin with and I feel awful! Stomach pains and such bloating I already look very pregnant

@Purple29 Good luck with the EPU today, I hope they're able to help you get some answers x

They have booked me in for a scan on Thursday morning. As I would be just 6 weeks today they want to give the best chance to see something, so better to wait a few days. At least I'll know before Xmas.

I have some more tests so will keep me going!!!

Purple29 · 21/12/2021 08:17

Ok now I'm nervous. Did another digital test today and the weeks have dropped back to 1-2 weeks?! Still saying pregnant and I am starting to get some symptoms now. Smell of chicken is revolving, can't stomach tea, feel nauseous, peeing all the time and really fatigued!! All things I had in my first. Should I be worried?

Theresamagicalplace · 21/12/2021 08:37

@Purple29 I'd take the weeks indicator with a pinch of salt. So many things can cause it to read wrong from drinking too much to not getting enough urine on it. The most important thing is it still says positive Smile

Thanks yeah I looked online at them and it looks like they were discontinued in the US and I'm also reading the midwives and fertility drs don't like them!!! Roll on Thursday for my scan!!

Caslo · 21/12/2021 10:16

@Purple29 I've also read that after you've reached a certain amount of HCG the 'weeks pregnant' indicator can't register it or something so displays a lower result. Seen lots of posts of ladies getting the same thing x

Firsttimetrier · 22/12/2021 08:26

I’ve been a bit quiet on here as I’ve been a bit anxious leading up to our early scan.

We had it last night and saw the tiny kidney bean moving around with its tiny little arms and leg buds and it’s heart beating away.

Measuring a few days ahead at 8+1. Felt so relieved!

Purple29 · 22/12/2021 09:13

@Firsttimetrier that's amazing news congratulations!!! I get my scan tomorrow morning and I cant wait!!!! So nervous.

twinklesss · 22/12/2021 09:24

Ahh lovely news 🥰 where I live we have to wait until 12 weeks for our first scan unless there's complications/high risk, it's such a long anxious wait. Will be having my booking appointment/bloods etc at around 8 weeks. Currently 5+6 so still very early, trying not to overthink things. Some days I have all the symptoms and others I have none.

Clodagh21 · 22/12/2021 20:02

Hi all! Due around August 18th. Had anyone here had a hematoma during pregnancy before?

Cb31 · 22/12/2021 21:41

Hi @Clodagh21! I had a hematoma with my little boy. I had alot of bleeding around 6/7 weeks and was convinced I'd had a miscarriage. I got scanned the day the bleeding started but it was too early for them to check so I had to wait 2 weeks for another scan. We were so shocked when he found out everything was ok. They could still see the hematoma on subsequent scans but it must have reabsorbed at some point. Have you got a hematoma? X

Clodagh21 · 22/12/2021 22:41

@Cb31 yes they found one there when I went for a scan at EPU as I was getting some pains! Im 6 weeks tomorrow and I haven’t had any bleeding yet but im terrified of getting any. This is my first pregnancy and everything is so nerve wrecking x

Uuuurgh, nausea. It's only just hit. Do any of you have any tips?

Caslo · 23/12/2021 08:19

@chiatta I'm only ever getting a queasy feeling, never actually progresses to nausea but I think morning sickness peaks at 9 weeks so got a bit of time! When I do feel a bit funny I find dry cereal in small doses helps x

Caslo · 23/12/2021 08:21

@Purple29 Good luck today! What time is the scan? Let us know how you get on x

Caslo · 23/12/2021 08:24

@twinklesss It's such an anxious time isn't it. I'm permanently on edge since my MC. Today is the same gestation that I started to spot in July so going to be a knicker watch day. My symptoms come and go too.. I catch myself squeezing my boobs so often during the day to make sure they still hurt! Beginning to love the rubbish queasy feeling I wake up with, it's a little reassuring. What symptoms are you having? x
