Helloooo all,

No internet at home so popping on quickly whilst I do my bits and bobs in the internet cafe.

Big congrats to everyone with babys in their arms now and good luck Skid, hope this is it.

Not much going on for me just more BH, cramps, heartburn as usual.... altho not due till NYE so prob just have to accept that LO is not in a rush to be early.

Havent had a chance to read everything but hopefully will have access to a PC sometime next week at my dads.

Hi all!

Haven't had a chance to read through previous posts since last Friday...when I went into labour, HOORAY!

Got home on Tuesday with baby Ella, who was born 9/12/07 15lbs 5oz, in the birthing pool using gas and air (ow!).

We are all doing very well!

CONGRATS to all of those who have had their babies, GOOD LUCK to those still waiting!

Will read and post more when I get a spare minute...hmmm that'll be in about 15 yrs then?!

Oh, and breastfeeding well too!

Just wanted to let you know and also to say THANKS so much for the support thus far - couldn't have managed the last 9 mths without it, and I'm sure it will continue! xxx

Ambi, my DH also wants LO to come soon, he says this weekend would be good as then he can have next week off and his 2 week work shutdown off! Can't persuade him to help me induce it though - shame!

Thanks bouncing ? I?ve made some notes from the web (and here) about it for dh, at moment I?m only planning to labour in pool but we?ll see if they can get me out

Beckle ? I think that sounds normal for movements, my lo is the same, when I was on the m/c in hosp they didn?t like that much and where concerned about the quiet half hour but I honestly think they wanted to make sure everything was ok for HB since I?d come in

Glad you?ve finished buzzy ? enjoy a bit of a relax before baby x

Congrats Caz10! Glad its 5lb 15!! ? with a 15lb 5oz I think we would have seen your birth announcement on the national news!

Well 4 days till d-day?. dh is being very relaxed and saying it?ll happen when baby is ready (and he has a bit of work to finish off first ), as time goes on the more freaked out I become about the labour, I want to meet my baby but am not looking forward to the hours preceding it! too much time to think!!

Congrats Caz10, ella is such a pretty name, glad she's feeding well - these babies are now flying out.

The weight mix up reminds me of when my friend had her baby on New Years a couple of years ago, when her fiance called in with the news, my drunk brain heard 15lbs instead of 5 too - there's me telling everyone at the party she had this mahoosive baby, luckily everyone else was piddly too and didn't take much notice.

Insy - oh they recommend you deliver the placenta out of the pool, it's quicker that way apparently.

how exciting skid!

I was convinced i was going to go into labour last night. No such luck. Baby feels higher again today. Back is really very sore when walking around now, having had absolutely no back pain throguhout the whole of my PG.

COME ON!!!!!

PS dp you think a vibrator would work rather than sex? I know no prostaglandins from the sperm, but it may be less tiring!

Good to hear from you MM: I think neuro had no access to internet from home?

insy I did the whole thing in the pool, if they'd told me to get out at any point I would have put up a physical fight I think! Had to deliver the placenta out of the pool as someone else said, I did it without the injection and it was really quick only 1/2 an hour or so after. They let her have a wee suckle and that really got things going (TMI sorry). But just had to say the pool was fabulous.

Just a quick post to let you know that ethan was born by cs yesterday at 9.37 am, weighed 8lb exactly and is just so perfect. Back home now and will post details when we are settled.

He's so content, he has just slept most of the time, he's so perfect, will sort out pics in the next few days.
Ds is bessotted with him, he keeps kissing him and stroking his head. he's staying at mils tonight to give us chance to settle.

Feel a bit nauseous tonight, been to a toddler party this afternoon so I hope it wasn't something I ate.

What's everyone upto at the weekend? We're having a quiet weekend just going shopping tomorrow then having our annual Christmas Lunch at Fifi and Ally (anyone else love their high tea? Gorgeous wee sandwiches then lots of fantastic wee cakes piled onto an old fashioned cake stand). Then the local handyman is hopefully coming Sunday afternoon to fit the new blind (looks v complicated) - how nice of him to say he'll come on Sunday as he knows I'll want it done asap!
