bored...bored...bored...

Hello all. Congratulations to all on the new arrivals and empathy to those who are still waiting! Not been on for ages (and was only a sporadic poster anyway) as my baby girl arrived on 13th December! She is called Ailsa and weighed a whopping 8lb 5.5 oz (I'm only 5ft tall so that was a bit of a surprise. She was only 4 days late in the end - labour not great, I ended up with a ventouse delivery and stitches which was my worst nightmare but in actual fact everything is healing well and not giving me any pain. I'm still getting over the surprise of having a beautiful baby girl as I was convinced that I was having a boy!

Any progress anyone? Am getting fed up with feet in my ribs if nothing else... Think baby's got size 11's at least! Soooo sore! Have a few period-type pains every now and again, but I think it's as likely to be trapped wind as anything else. Hope not 11 or 8 days late like big siblings Am fed up with not ever being able to get comfortable except lying down... ho hum... please let something happen soon!!!!!

Buzzybee had her baby girl last night (Sunday morning UK time). All well. I'm sure she'll post soon. Hurray!

Hi and welcome to Dotsie, Noregrets and Jen, hope you are not waiting too long for graduation to p/n threads!

No progress here, people keep telling me baby is sat too high to be ready yet (cos obviously they are all experts ). Hernia feels about half the size today so wishfully thinking that might mean baby is lower. Plenty of BHs all through the day for a couple of days but not very strong ones - few of them quite uncomfy in the evenings though, am begininng to remember how it hurts!

Went for a nice long walk today but all that seems to have done is given me really sore hips... Not holding out much hope it will be this year!

Hope everyone else not too fed up and uncomfy!

Beatrix has been great all day until about 5pm when she started to get a bit colicy.
Oh well, she is still gorgeous and I can't get over how much she looks like DD1 despite their different fathers!
Off to try and do some expressing now as she is sleeping again finally.

While I think on, for those of you who haven't measured up for bras I would NOT go to M&S. I did, they have measured me too small. So I don't have any nursing bras to fit!
I've been ok not wearing a bra up until yesterday but managing fine with my maternity bras now, just a pain when feeding ds.
In hindsight I think I should have bought 2-3 of different sizes, and then tried them on after coming home for best fit and get the wrong ones exchanged. Hindsight is a wonderful thing
Anyway hope this is useful to you!

Just a quick post to say Ruby Michelle was born on 30th Dec (my due date!!) at 10.01am weighing 8lb exactly. Home for 4.30pm as everything went smoothly. She's doing well and sleeping loads today which is nice. So wonderful to be able to see in the new year with new DD, DS, DH, red wine and good stilton!!

Hello, havn't had time to read through posts, so not sure what I have missed but...

I FINALLY had my baby on saturday afternoon!

My waters broke midday thurs when I was 2cm but no contractions till 9pm. Stayed at home for most of it as was hoping for a home birth. Each midwife visit, confirmed I was only 2cm still, even when i was having contractions every 3-4mins. So ended up going into hospital. Continued to have the contractions etc but by sat morning, I had still not dliated any further and one of my blood tests came back with a sign of infection so was then rushed down to delivery and was induced.

Baby born at 12.32pm sat 29th dec. Weighing 6lb 6oz and was very happy and alert.

baby Elouise is now home and doing very well.

Congrats Chloe - been waiting to here from you. Enjoy snuggling your lo. She's the same weight as mine!

The gorgeous Lily was born by planned section on Fri 28 Dec at 9:36am at a wopping 8lb12oz - she really is quite delicious will post some photos as soon as...the section went well- quite daunting but I think they specialed me being medical - had consultant anasesthetist, obs and paeds around and was quite calm and controlled really .....the post natal care on the other hand....
We came home Sunday afternoon - thank goodness - the ward was quite literally hell (9 beds with 9 screaming babes , poor nurse and midwives run off their feet)...
Quite shocked by how sore and incapable I am - othewise I feel good so struggling with the lack of mobility bending lifting etc...
My H is trying I think but situation is so awkward anyway - trying to concentrate on my 2 wonderful girls and getting back to normal so he can disappear again....
Lily is a great baby quite calm and placid doesn't really cry and other than feeding every 1-2 hours overnight she is a dream...hoping this will settle as my milk settles ....her big sis DD1 is being a star as well and very good and helpful ...
Am a happy mummy and looking forward to a good 2008

I have been niggling quite a bit yesterday and today and some today have been fairly painful but Im trying very hard to ignore as I bet they fizzle out soon!

Sick of twingeing and hoping and getting bigger and more uncomfortable by the day.

I let me kids stay up for New Years Eve and they were fab but Im now KNACKERED as I didnt get them to bed til 01.30am and DH is on nightshift.

I'm still waiting too. 41+2 today. Trying to keep as active as possible and know it can't be long now. Getting sick of the constant calls and texts! Really hoping it will happen before induction on Fri. My friend's mum has offered to do some reflexology for me before then. Have been told that the last time she did this for someone they were in labour a few hours later. Willing to try anything at this stage!!

so sorry i havent been on in months but a split from dp and house move meant i had no internet or pc for a while just borrowing a friends laptop to let you know i had my baby boy Zethan on 13th of december he was 7lb 10oz had a few feedin probs at start but hes gaining weight well now and we have been signed off from the mid wife, his sisters are fussing round him and he is gorgeous

hope you all havent forgotten me and will go over the details soon, and will try and get back on asap i missed chatting on here so much and congrats to everyone who has given birth and hope they come soon to those who are still waiting

Great to finally get online again. Still waiting here... appointment with MW today 40 +2. Hopefully today is the day altho have actually felt much more comfy and stuff this past week.... very strange. Must check out post natal as well as there seems to only be a few of us left here.

Hi M4G! Glad you are okay and congrats on baby Zethan! Sounds like you have had a tough time lately but am so glad your girls and you are loving the new baby!

Welcome back MM, hopefully it won't be too long for any of us who are left!

DH and I are on 'text count' at the moment. Think we had about 10 texts plus a couple of calls yesterday! Only 5 today so far! Do people not think I would have let them know by now???

Fully sympathise with you Pecka! Had lots of regular and very strong BHs yesterday afternoon/evening so was feeling quite hopeful, even had a couple which woke me up in the night! Hardly any today though - grr. Kind of had 3rd Jan in my mind as the date LO would arrive but doesn't look like it now.

DS2 starts school on Friday morning, they only do a couple of hours for the first few days to ease them in. What's the betting that's when LO arrives? I really want either myself or DH to be the ones dropping DS2 off and picking him up.

DH back to work tomorrow after Christmas break , was hoping LO would arrive before he went back but at least he is only working 25 mins from home at the moment. He is right near the hospital and keeps joking that he will meet me there if I go into labour!

Sorry for all the moaning, going overdue sucks!
