All this talk of food please don't today I have had half a slice of toast, half a cheese and tomato sandwich and a quarter of a pizza and 6 chips, hardly healthy I feel like I am only eating to stop my stomach rumbling it hurts so much when I eat as well, really getting me down now.

cass - thanks don't know where I got epiglottis from (it was v early) uvula sounds a bit rude to me don't think I could face soluble paracetamol without throwing up

paulayates - oooooooo will I know you?

MrsWednesday - thanks for your well wishes x

coolkat - aww he sounds lovely and I'm sure in a few weeks you'll think you have had him for ages and he will be part of the family

min - I have come to the conclusion that my Mum is never going to change so now I don't make any effort with her, she phones me, she visits me (hasn't done since August) I am always welcoming to her but I don't make any effort to see her, her loss she is missing out on so much with the DDs.

Hope everyone else is doing well and the sickness not too bad.

sweetkitty · 30/11/2007 22:14

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 30/11/2007 22:14

i went to a party last weekend and drank fizzy water no one questioned it at all! I then nearly fainted in front of a dozen people and had to sit with head between legs - had to lie outright when inevitable question was asked
at least one friend was less than convinced!

Paula you came!!!!!!!! Nice to finally see you here

EEC · 01/12/2007 08:35

I too have been 'borrowing' my childrens' chocoalte supply - feel better now I know I'm not the only one. I manage to eat a healthy breakfast most mornings, and satsumas on and off all day, but other than that junk is all I crave.. I was the same with the others and they came out healthy. Ooh fish and chips...Mmmm

Onto pets... I too have a dog (collie spaniel cross) - not worried as had no troubles with dog and baby last time. More worried about cat. How on earth do you keep a cat away from a baby, and do you need to?

EEC · 01/12/2007 08:40

Can't even spell anymore. Must be lack of sleep.

sweetkitty · 01/12/2007 08:41

hatrick - yes we will find out the sex we have to pay for a 20 week scan anyway as we don't get one on the NHS up here so might as well ask (also I am the worlds most impatient person), I don't know I just have a feeling not that a boy wouldn't be welcome either. I suppose you will get a lot of the "trying for a boy" comments as well.

EEC - re cats and babies, I have 3 cats and they generally stayed well away from the newborn. I think the stories about cats and babies are far fetched. They definitely stay away from toddlers. The cats work out our routine so during the day they are upstairs children downstairs, then about 7.30pm they descend just as the children are going to bed and thats their time. One of the cats who is very placid with allow DD1 to pat him now though, she adores him. DDs room doors are always shut so the cats can't get into their rooms as well.

My throat is still in agony DP says I was snoring really loudly last night

MINNIE1 · 01/12/2007 10:32

Moring all.

Hi new ladies [wave emoticon]

I shoudl be jumping up and down for joy 'cos I finally handed in my dissertation yesterday, but am feeling awful as LO passed on her cold to me. Hardly any sleep for the past week now between DD being poorly (she's got a horrible hacking cough now) and being all bunged up myself now.

I always go off chocolate when pg, much prefer jelly sweeties too - maybe we need the gelatine?

I had a black podding supper the other night It happens once a year - I just have to have one - revolting isn't it?
It was jam doughnuts yesterday _ I never eat them usually.

Sp far MS seems to be in the moring and sometime later in eveing but bearable so far - a million million times better than with first 2pgs.

We've got 3 cats too - used to be 5! Our 2 males don't like DD but our female (who is also the youngest) adores children. She sings to her and lets her pat her (more of a waving the hand around in a precarious manner at the moment) she is so patient. I love it when we play with the cats too as it makes LO laugh and giggle - it is the best sound in the world hearing your LO's giggle.

DH came home yesterday so will have a bit of help to look after DD now - he changed her nappy this morning for me as was feeling a bit bleurgh.

I am not sure what the scan situation is here - we only moved here in July. I had an early 1 with LO as I had a missed m/c before her, then a 12 week one, then 20. I was terrified with each one. What a relief when you can see everything is ok.

Well have a lovely Saturday ladies - the weather is beautiful here - sun is shining.

I have a gargantuan pile of ironing to do whilst LO is sleeping - lucky me.

santascRUMPELedsuit · 01/12/2007 10:49

SFX - sending you big hugs and positive vibes for next time xxxx

santascRUMPELedsuit · 01/12/2007 10:50

Apologies for awful spelling/typos - brain is on stand by

paulaplumpbottom · 01/12/2007 10:54

Morning ladies!!!!!!

I'm so excited but because today I ma nine weeks. My other pregnancies (except for dd of course) never made it passed the 8 week stage. So I'm feeling high as a kite this morning.

I am a bit worried though, as I have lost 10 pounds. My ob says this happens and I'll probably make up for it later. Lets hope so.

icklegem · 01/12/2007 10:56

Hi ladies sorry to crash again just wondered if anyone can give me a little advice??

I would love to try again after last wks m/c but how long do I have to leave it? Is it best to wait a few months or will be ok to try straight away?!? Sorry really clueless and didn't wanna ask loads of "strangers" and I know some of you have been here before.

Thanks, Gem x

icklegem · 01/12/2007 10:57

Paula - YAYYYY!! So excited for you!! Hope all continues going so well. Must be such a relief for you xx

paulaplumpbottom · 01/12/2007 10:57

My ob always said to wait till I've had a period before I was to try again. He said that the body needs to heal.

paulaplumpbottom · 01/12/2007 10:59

Thanks Icklegem, how are you feeling? Has the bleeding stopped yet?

EEC · 01/12/2007 11:05

Icklegem - I waited til one period had passed - and got lucky straight away. It does seem to make sense to let one cycle go through to give body a chance to regulate itself- also helps to know about timing etc. It took me 6 weeks after mc to get first period. Fingers crossed for you.

icklegem · 01/12/2007 11:07

Aww ok thanks for that. Not feeling too bad. Thought I was ok until dp walked in door last night from work and I just stood there and burst into floods of tears??!

Bleeding stopped wed night then came back thurs lunch time. Not sure what that's all about but it's not too bad now. Nearly stopped I think/hope.

Hope you are feeling ok. x
