Defo 'fall down'

Sheds75 · 27/11/2007 10:20

VS I'm fairly laid back at the moment althogh I think once I get bigger and more pregnant looking I think it will get worse!

we are moving house in 10 days and it will mean an extra 30 min drive to work & back that may stress me out and make me

Denny185 · 27/11/2007 10:20

Oh no its happening again, the conversations of home r happening again on here, but worse still your all agreeing with DH, I have thought for years its fall over - surely I cant be wrong Im never wrong

EllieG · 27/11/2007 10:22

We won't tell your DH

VictorianSqualor · 27/11/2007 10:26

Denny, I hate to say it but weebles wobble but they don't fall down!

Just don't argue it with DH again, Or do the clever thing of changing your stance, act like you ALWAYS said it was 'fall down' and pretending he is changing what he said now cos you're right

I HATE work today. Can someone cheer me up? 81 working days to go... oh! I've done it myself

natalies1982 · 27/11/2007 10:45

hi all
thanks for adding me to the list.

ive had a crap pregnnacy so far, been sick since 6 weeks and admitted at 8 with severe dehydration, ive been on anti sickness pills since to try and contorl the sick.

ive had heartburn, threatneed miscarriage a few weeks ago, and also been contracting im under the consultant at the hosp as i had alot of probs in my last pregnancy and my son was induced at 36 weeks due to PROM @ 32 and 35 weeks.

im also going to be asked to be induced this time round if i get to full term, as my son has medical probs and would need to make sure we sort him out as no one would look after him at night time so would need to try and plan this birth.

scampmum · 27/11/2007 10:45

When is everyone stopping work, by the way? And people whose DCs are in full-time childcare, what are you doing with that once you stop work?

Denny185 · 27/11/2007 10:52

Ahhh but thats wikepedia and they are always wrong, he he he. I think I may just have to avoid any debate on weebles again with Dh, will stick to celeb ages instead.

Scampmum, i too hate work on reg basis, not long to go now though. I have stinking cold at mo so decided to call in sick for tom, after all nearly all my clients are elderly on toms list and wouldnt want them ill for xmas .

My DS has got himself stuck in the toy box about 5 times this am - seems to be a slow learning curve on this one.

Denny185 · 27/11/2007 10:56

Nat - welcome, sorry to hear of all your probs, what is PROM.

Scamp, I start mat leave on 31st March but have a couple of weeks hol to take prior to that. DD will be at school, mum normally has DS and for first few weeks will cont to help out but then going to do more hours at her other job till I go back to work again. So DS will be with me FT again

EllieG · 27/11/2007 10:56

I am saving all my holiday next year to use to go off before baby due, worked it out yesterday and will be finishing on 5th March or therabouts. Hoo-rah! Can't come soon enough. I mostly hate work and have sneaking suspicion only got pregnant to get out of office life for a bit.

scampmum · 27/11/2007 10:59

Sorry Natalie - cross-post. I'm not really flippantly ignoring you! Sorry to hear you've had such a troublesome pregnancy, hope it all gets better from here. Sounds like induction totally makes sense in yours and Peachy's circumstances (though obviously fingers crossed for the homebirth, Peachy ).

scampmum · 27/11/2007 11:01

I am stopping on 27th, @35+6 and day before my thirtieth (cue HUGE party... not...).

My boss (of the delightful email) is just being SUCH a dickhead. I so wish I could quit so I could punch him in the face.

EllieG · 27/11/2007 11:02

Do it anyway and blame the hormones.

VictorianSqualor · 27/11/2007 11:04

I think it's great that so many of us are choosing to opt for induction and still have a natural birth rather than an elective cs.
(Any of those having a CS, that isn't meant with any offence! I'm sure you too have made the right decisions.)

Natalie, sorry to hear what a horrible time you've had of it, both myself and Peachy had hyperemisis as well, luckily neither of us had to be admitted though.

Are you still being sick?? Mine has calmed down lots but it's still quite regular, normally once/twice a day at least.

I'm a SAHM already, so no mat leave here for me, DS was due to start nursery soon though and I've decide that as I don't need it for childcare I will keep him home with me for a while longer. I had to put him in nursery at 8months when I went back to work and had stayed at home with DD until she started school, so it's nice to be able to spend more time with him before he has to go into nursery/school etc.

nat sympathies, was admitted with ds1 and was a miserable time (have you ckhecked out the blooming awful website?)

Us students dont get maternity leave- last presentation is in my 38th week (! ) and then I ahve until may when i go back for finals / submit dissertation.

Eeeeek

Soph73 · 27/11/2007 11:07

Natalie - sorry to hear your pregnancy´s made you feel so bad. scampmum - can't you punch him in the face, then quit Not sure when I´m going off on maternity leave as have to speak to the Head first. Worked right up till the end with DS so hope to do that this time as well.

Denny185 · 27/11/2007 11:15

None taken VS Id love to go that route but they just dont come out (seem to inherit fathers mecon sized head genes) so c-section def choice 4 me.

Peachy - when do you have to go back 4 finals? how do you get time to study and look after kids etc?

Soph73 · 27/11/2007 11:15

Unfortunately with this lo I´m going to have to return to work as soon as my maternity leave is up (was going to have a school year off) because DH needs dental treatment which we´ve had to get a loan for & is going to take us 5 yrs to pay back

scampmum · 27/11/2007 11:16

Right up to the end?! wow, respect. I did 37 last time and it was a REAL struggle. Do walk four miles (five now) a day in my commute, though. Not fun with SPD (obviously it wasn't that bad, but still hurt a lot).

natalies1982 · 27/11/2007 11:17

hi
denny PROM is pre rupture of membranes, so my waters broke i also had a bleed at 31 weeks, i was admitted to hosp at 32 weeks and scan and test confrimed my waters had gone, i had steroids for the lungs and basially told to expect delivery within 48 hours but thankfully he held on, then at 35 weeks i lost more water and was induced a few days later, he spent 10 days in NNU, 7 of those tube fed.

re hyperemisis i had it my 1st preg to and was admitted and was sick til the day i gave birth. im still sick and if i delay in taking my tabelst thats it im bad for days, have u guys taken any meds to help the sick ive been on metoclopramide since i was 8 weeks.

i dont work so im just on countdown til april now lol 18+5 now 3 weeks today til my scan to.

im hoping they will agree to me being induced again oterwise my son will have to watch the delivery lol

c section is my worst nightmare ive had 2 natural labours and a thought of c section scares me,

Denny185 · 27/11/2007 11:18

Soph - what on earth has your Dh had to have thats going to take 5 years to pay back?

Denny185 · 27/11/2007 11:19

Nat - blimey and your doing it again, you r a braver lady than me, hope this one has a better run for you

Soph73 · 27/11/2007 11:22

He is terrified of dentists and hasn´t been for 20 years. He´s got to have a bone graft, collagen injections, 6 teeth out, implants & crowns. The list he´s got of all the procedures runs into 2 pages & haven´t had the guts to go through it all yet!

Soph73 · 27/11/2007 11:24

Nat - I´ve had a csection & they´re not that bad ... honest I'm going for a VBAC this time but realise that I may have to have another csection.
