@Whatshouldbemyusername thank you! 15 working days and counting for you! 118 rings a bell, thank you! Sounds like you’ve had a bit of a week, glad Queen Charlotte’s did the test for thess (can’t spell the rest) but sorry you’ve found out so late. Hope husband’s blood test comes back clear!

@Daffodil21 thank you 🎉 and fake 🥂

Whatshouldbemyusername · 09/07/2021 19:12

Literally counting days @Inmypjsagain ! I've got 2 days off next week and I think I might have the 22nd and 27th off too. Need to check 😊

Aaaw thanks babe. Yes thalassaemia test is next Tuesday for my husband and hopefully by end of the week we should have results. 🤞🏽

Enjoy your pizza and fake gin x

lucyrp · 09/07/2021 19:32

I have 12 working days left, looking forward to it😁 got a week off next week thank god.

PurplePansy05 · 09/07/2021 19:40

@Inmypjsagain You celebrate girl! Well deserved! Put your feet up now as much as you can!

Re iron levels, I was advised they want to see them at 130, so yes yours is low.

My GD management has just nosedived again, we're doubling the dose of metformin tomorrow and at this rate he might be delivered at 38 weeks MW said this afternoon (I had another call). I'll know more by mid-next week. I feel so helpless, it's very frustrating! xx

Daffodil21 · 09/07/2021 20:15

Just catching up on dragon's den and the positive burg company is on it if anyone is interested.

Oh no @PurplePansy05 they seem like they're being a bit chaotic?! Sorry you're having to deal with this x

New thread soon - if this one gets much fuller I'll post a new thread if someone else doesn't, but it will probably be a dull and unimaginative name!

I think they are looking very carefully at all readings @Daffodil21 and that's why things are changing rapidly, they want to act as soon as they can see things are getting out of control - and frustratingly, they still are. I have another growth scan on Weds at just about 36 weeks and it should all be clear then, whether they'll try insulin, keep me on a double dose of metformin and/or deliver him early. It's not fun, I feel I really can't win now and my body has gone crazy 😔🤦🏼‍♀️ xx

Daffodil21 · 09/07/2021 20:27

@PurplePansy05 ah I see, sorry that was probably an unfair comment from me on them then. Glad they're looking after you thoroughly! I didn't know it could change so rapidly tbh x

Don't worry, I didn't know either, I wish it wasn't the case! @Daffodil21 xx

Ready2020 · 09/07/2021 21:05

I had a lovely day playing bingo for the first time then lunch with my sister and my mum. I think it'll be last foray out of my wee town. The train was really busy and masks are now a second thought. Feeling a bit rough tonight though as we walked a bit too far.

I agree on first trimester being the worst as I was just exhausted all the time. Second was fab and this one is just sheer frustration with sore hips and huge belly. Also not being able to do as much as I want. I find slowing down difficult.

I kinda feel like a terrible mum already in that I do have periods of when baby isn't moving but I don't think too much of it. If after lying down or eating she didn't move then I'd be worried. But she's kinda got a pattern but doesn't always stick to it.

Maternity leave has been far too busy so far. Got my second nct tomorrow online then going to cinema on Sunday. Next week looks OK though with just a hair cut booked and a bra fitting for a nursing bra.

HopefulB · 09/07/2021 21:23

@Inmypjsagain, ‘ideal’ Haemoglobin measurement is somewhere around what purple said, however there is a lower cut off for defining you as ‘anaemic’ in pregnancy and I think it goes down with trimesters.

What week are you? Iron tablets take a good few weeks to work, so if you are 36 weeks or more it may be worth asking if an iron injection would be appropriate for you?

Massive congrats on finishing work - I’m envious!
