Nearly there ladies 😃 I have my DD birthday party this afternoon then my DS birthday/party next weekend (yes we seem to have a nack of making summer babies 😅) baby better stay put until after that then I can relax 😂😂 sorry to read on the past thread people are having such a rough time, but it's the final stretch we got this 💪

@PurplePansy05 thanks for this - did the threads last night in a rush before bed in case the last one filled up before I got up this morning - no danger of that today though 😂

Hey ladies! Just realised I never updated..I'm having a little girl 💕💕
My maternity leave is soooo far off, I'll be 39 weeks exactly!
Had a bit of a scare last night because I fell over! Got myself into a right state panicking but luckily she was kicking fine and movement is normal. I do really need to start slowing down now!

Hey girls, just wondering what you'd all do, I think I'm over thinking it but I've had this pain at the back of my head for 3 days now I can't really pinpoint where it is, its almost like I've slept funny and its from that but it hurts more when I laugh etc and twist my head, I wouldn't call it a headache but am now stressing myself out about it. I have to work today like there's no option but is it worth calling the MW about it to check everything's okay?

Updated @ame88! I'm sorry to hear you've had a fall, how did it happen? I keep tripping over stuff and one of my cats daily, it's so easily done now! Plus I think we're all more clumsy and off-balance, it's a thing in the last few weeks, even What To Expect lists it. Glad you're both ok!

@Daffodil21 I love the thread title, that's because I love the song AND you've madebme sing it to myself every time I get a notification...which at a tough time really helps!!!

@lucyrp Sounds like you either slept funny (e.g. in one position for too long) or twisted a muscle in your neck as you turned your head. I do it all the time, pre-pregnancy and now 🤦🏼‍♀️
Try these exercises first for a day or two, see if they help. You can also try exercising in the shower, pour water over the achy spot and exercise then. Can your OH massage a bit to release tension? xx

Also the leaflet doesn't say it but remember to always go to your usual position before starting the next tilt, otherwise you can make it worse. If it really hurts, try gently just with the first 3 movements for now @lucyrp xx

@lucyrp I think you should check with the MW darling. It's best to be comfortable. Am sure it's nothing maybe you slept strange? But for your peace if you want to call her, then go for it x

So I did my new pattern again this morning. Woke up at 5:45 and I'm actually enjoying it. Will nap later today for sure but feels great! Baby was active this morning so maybe baby is adjusting to this routine too 😊

@lucyrp sounds like you prob did just sleep funny as @PurplePansy05 says, but if you're worried about it then do call your MW. That is exactly what they're there for. Nothing worse than sitting there worrying and they'll either put your mind at rest or check you over.

I've got such a nesting urge today! Waiting for DH to get up so he can do the heavy lifting!

Funny that @Daffodil21, I was just this moment reading about nesting thinking perfect timing for me as the nursery will be ready to unpack next week 😊 I get the feeling! But first, a nice coffee with my friends this morning to give me a boost before I start cleaning! xx

PS - just a reminder for those of us booking the strep B test privately, it's probably the time to get this arranged soon 💐 xx

We are off to a wedding today. Overnight and it’s 2 hours away so I’ve got my hospital bag in the car ready to go. Here’s hoping the day isn’t too tiring but seeing as I get tired just doing normal activities I think I’ll be knackered tomorrow!

@wimbler I can't believe that wedding day has come around! I remember us discussing this months and months ago where it just felt like some day in the future that would never arrive 😂

I'm feeling so much better for having taken yesterday off, it was absolutely the right decision. Annoyingly I need to work tomorrow to catch up so it doesn't feel like a proper long weekend which I needed, but on the final countdown to finishing work now so I'm hoping I can push through until the end without having too much of an emotional breakdown...

Can I check who you're getting your strep B test from? If you're having it.

I'm having mine done privately at the same clinic where I had my NIPT and one private scan in the first trimester. I don't trust myself to swab properly. I'm doing it just in case anyway, as with c-sec it isn't necessary, but in case I go into labour early or whatever! xx

@PurplePansy05 oh 130! I’m taking 350mg iron now so hopefully that helps, it’s weird I’ve Lost access to my charts to see what my reading was before. Oh sorry to hear about the GD, it’s not ideal obviously but the management is good. 38 weeks is definitely cooked so let’s see what they say, fingers crossed that they metaformin does it’s job and you can avoid an early delivery (unless that’s what you want!)

@HopefulB thanks that’s really helpful. I’m 35+4 and I’ve been on iron tablets for the last few months, I’ll raise the injection with the midwife who I have a call with on Monday!

Those of you who have had the weekend courses or recently started NCT, how have you found it? People nice? Good content? After our last session the leader appointed a social secretary, we’re due to meet up on Monday evening so let’s see if people are more social in real life. We’ve had our second early delivery in the group- this time covid related. She’s unvaccinated and unsure where she caught it, but they recommended an early delivery by c section- due date end of July but she’s now been moved to a COVID ward and isn’t with baby. Really making me quite twitchy for my second jab which I’m going to try and get booked in asap!

Looks like a fair few of you were up late/early, hope you all have a relaxing Saturday ❤️ xx

Aww thank you for checking in @PurplePansy05 😘 I do scour this thread occasionally but so much gets posted these days I can’t keep up 😂 I’m definitely struggling now with pain and lack of sleep but seems I’m not the only one! Did I read somewhere that you might be meeting your boy in 3 weeks? So exciting!!

Hope you are all relaxing as much as can be and that you’re all okay 💙 I am so ready for her to be out now 😂
