Good luck @Pancakes7

Is anyone else having pregnancy related bad dreams? I don’t know how to stop them but they’re really upsetting!

Strawberry08 · 12/03/2021 08:35

Good luck @Pancakes7!! Thinking of you.

@NorthernGirl1991 not so much bad dreams all the time for me but every night I’m having very vivid ones. I have a mix between good and bad. I’m not sure how you stop them 😩

Firevie · 12/03/2021 08:52

smarty4 · 12/03/2021 10:45

Fantastic news @Pancakes7

Pancakes7 · 12/03/2021 11:46

Thank you all so much. I'm so relieved. We're both so happy. We had a McDonald's breakfast lol. Although I'm still nauseous so I couldn't manage much. I just can't believe it! We're going to just wait for 12 week scan now.

Weirdly I tried to make myself think positive and I was saying to myself babies ok and measuring further ahead closer to 8 weeks. Then it was, I know it's just a coincidence but I thought it was strange.

Just thought I would do an update following my appointment with the EPU today. They couldn’t find anything wrong with me, she thinks it was a chemical pregnancy but my body hasn’t been ready to bleed. She also diagnosed PCOS which I didn’t know, I’ve been lucky to get pregnant quickly both times but my cycles are long, 38 days. So not much for me to do apart from wait for my period to come back and try again. Hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky for me

Pancakes7 · 12/03/2021 11:57

@MrsF111 I'm so sorry this has happened. At least have some answers now. I hope your body catches up soon and you can try again. Be kind to yourself. Have some treats and watch some comedies. Xx

So lovely to see these healthy scan photos

marplemead · 12/03/2021 12:16

@MrsF111 I'm so sorry Flowers Our bodies can be so unfathomable sometimes. I hope the time waiting for your next cycle allows you time to grieve and prepare for the next round. It sounds like you've been really unlucky and there's no reason to think the third time will be the same. It might worth asking for a referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic - some GPs are happy to do this after the 2nd loss especially if you are on the older side - or a gynaecological appointment for the pcos. All the best to you x

HereWeGoooo · 12/03/2021 12:16

@MrsF111 you take good care of yourself. My heart goes out to you. Stay strong xx

Strawberry08 · 12/03/2021 12:37

@MrsF111 sorry to hear your story lovely. I had PCOS and they put me on a medicine called metformin. It’s a diabetes drug (I don’t have diabetes) but they are using it as a drug to treat PCOS as well with good results. It fixed my PCOS and my cycles returned to normal. Worth mentioning to your GP as an Avenue to explore.

Strawberry08 · 12/03/2021 12:38

@Pancakes7 thrilled to see your scan went well!! Eeeek it’s all getting real for you now!!

Pancakes7 · 12/03/2021 12:49

@Strawberry08 Thanks. I still can't believe it. Now just got my bloods appointment next week. Hopefully get my scan letter soon.

Ladies I’m treating myself today to either subway or McDonald’s - is it ok to eat beef burgers from mc Donald’s? Xxx

Pancakes7 · 12/03/2021 13:37

@Firevie You only need to worry about rare beef so McDonald's is fine 👍🏻 enjoy!
