@MrsF111 I’m so so sorry to hear your news 😔 you definitely didn’t imagine it after positive tests. I really hope they offer some further testing so you can at least have some answers as to what’s happened.

@marplemead so glad to hear all went okay this morning 😊 what type of scan did they do in the end?

@Smurf123 that’s good to know! This is my first baby so I have no idea what I’m doing and wish they did a tripadvisor for hospitals or something! I was almost put off Antrim for the same reason, and going back up there at the weekend for my scan at EPU was a bit difficult as it was the same room, and I’d been in the same ward only in December for surgical management. I decided to put it down in the end as they were all really really nice and kind and I felt looked after, and I think I had a ‘good’ experience with them considering the reason I was there. I think once I’m a bit further down the line and know what’s going on I’ll probably start looking at the differences between each place. Makes sense if you’ve chosen the Royal so you have what you need for this birth 😊

@SY16 congrats and welcome 😊 it’s good you’ve got a scan so soon! I’m 9+3 and barely any symptoms here. The mildest nausea occasionally which I could probably not even mention as it’s that inconsistent, sore boobs off and on (which stopped last week but have came back again a bit this week), and I’ve had mild cramping off and on as well since I found out, along with some recent lower back pain. I’ve had two scans and all was okay (🤞🏻 It stays that way) so I think lack of symptoms is okay! Not everyone gets them, and also I think you’re still quite early and there’s time for them to appear 😊

smarty4 · 11/03/2021 14:27

No reason to post but just needed to write it down.
Firstly, congratulations to those who have had scans today.
I have my private scan on Sunday, I'll be 9+6. I received my 12 week scan letter through the post which was bang on at 12 weeks. But I start a new job in a school on Monday and didn't want to take the morning off so early on so I rearranged the scan and only appt is when I'm 13+4. I will opt for the additional screening, so it makes me incredibly anxious I'm going to miss the dates for the screening. This is of course provided my scan on Sunday goes well. The anxiety is really kicking in.

Hi all,

@MrsF111 I’m so terribly sorry you’re going through this I can’t even imagine how you’re feeling but try to take some time out to take care of yourself 💝

I’m really pleased for everyone that had good news at their scans today 🥰. I had my scan at lunchtime and it was also good news and baby had caught up from my last scan when I bled and they said baby was measuring 3 days behind and I was panicking but now they’ve put me 2 days further forward than the original date ☺️🙏🏻.

Hope everyone else is doing well xxx

Greenrubber · 11/03/2021 15:14

Hi everyone!
My scan went well today turns out I'm 13+2 today

MrsTD88 · 11/03/2021 15:31

@smarty4 my dating scan is on 24 March when I'll be roughly 13+3 based on previous scans. I'm hoping to have the additional screening too, they should be able to do it up until 14 weeks but I'll let you know how I get on.

Amazing news @SophW194 how far along are you now?

@Greenrubber aww that's fab! Did you have the NT done too?

Pancakes7 · 11/03/2021 15:31

Wonderful news @Greenrubber & @SophW194 I'm so glad your scans went well and you're both measuring ahead.

@smarty4 That's hard when you've had to delay your scan as it's longer to wait. However I can see why you did it. I hope all goes well on Sunday. 🤞🏻

@MrsTD88 @Pancakes7 thank you both 🥰 I’m 13+4 now 😀 @smarty4 they were still able to do the Nuchal measuring at my scan today so fingers crossed you’ll be within the window too xx

OMG just had my midwife phone me lol. It's the midwife I had with my son. She saw my name and wanted to see me. So my appointment convo is done. 🙈 She's going on holiday so sadly I'll have a different woman to do my bloods at a different place so that'll be interesting. I'm shaking with nerves blue now.

OP posts:
PumpkinEverything · 11/03/2021 20:15

Oh wow, that was a late phone call @Pancakes7 ! Hopefully the blood work appointment is just a one off and then it’ll be back to the woman you know again 😊
I know there’s nothing I can say to make it any easier as it’s such an anxious time, but just try your best to have a positive mind about it if you can. The odds are in your favour for it being all okay! Try to get an early night and sleep if you can, and then it’ll be here before you know it 😊 just take it easy tonight and try to watch something that’ll take your mind off it.

Pancakes7 · 11/03/2021 20:19

@PumpkinEverything Thanks. I'm watching The Circle with my Mum which is good. I'm a day behind as I get too tired lol. Yeah she said she'll see me for the rest of my appointments and she's keeping her fingers crossed for me for tomorrow.

@Strawberry08 Poor you, I hope you're feeling better soon. Try having bland food little and often. Digestive biscuits or toast. X
