I totally agree about friends and NCT mums. Two of the NCt mums in my group are due at the same time around when I would have been and it hurts, the girls all know about my miscarriage and sometimes I feel guilty for telling them because the pregnant two never share anything about their pregnancy. But they're probably messaging each other separately I suppose.
It's so difficult feeling like you will be the 'bad luck' one again. I keep trying to tell myself this is a different pregnancy, and feels different too. But equally not being too positive and building things up.
I will tell a few close friends over the next few weeks of things keep going ok. They've been so supportive after my miscarriages and I feel like it's ok to tell them early now as they'll want to be supportive if it goes wrong. X

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 19:43

@lamby12 Yeah it's good to have support from friends. I know what you mean. My friend didn't tell the others about her pregnancy for ages. Due to my mmc. I did feel guilty. I feel bad I wasn't there to support her through it. I was just not in the best place to hear about it all.

You have every chance of having a successful pregnancy. Please don't think you'll be unlucky again. Try to think positively ❤️

@PumpkinEverything omg your food diaries sound amazing! Especially jealous of your baguette with cheese and crisps. We just got back from our Tesco shop. We are eating pizza and some Key Lime pie for dessert. Also got my Easter egg - pic attached xxx

Mmmm sounds like such a nice dinner @Firevie ! Also love the choice of Easter egg. I got a Lindt one too 😁 but the one that has the bunnies with it instead as I love them! I also have an aero egg and a munchies one too because I love Easter eggs 😂🙈

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 20:28

@Firevie Yum I love Lindt! This is my Easter egg. I added it to our food shop lol

My husband and I treated ourselves @Pancakes7 😂 they had an offer on the eggs that meant they were 4 for something in Asda. Maybe 4 for £10? And then we always like a ‘big’ egg 😂 I just love Easter egg chocolate, it’s so nice!

Firevie · 26/03/2021 21:17

I might get another cheeky bunny next week absolutely love Lindt lol xxx

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 21:18

@Firevie & @PumpkinEverything I just added a gold bunny to our shop lol. I blame you guys! It's got 50p off so I couldn't not... lol

PumpkinEverything · 26/03/2021 21:40

Be rude not to @Pancakes7 😂😁 good idea @Firevie they’re so good! I love the gold bunnies

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 05:54

@Pancakes7 fingers crossed it goes really quickly for you!

@Firevie we went to M&S after work and got pizza and crisps. I ate those and then crawled into bed at 8pm, hence my early wake up 🤣🤣

@Smurf123 that's great you've got your scan booked in so quickly. When I had my scan on Wednesday I saw the midwife at the clinic after and she arranged an appointment for me to see the consultant at 16 weeks and again at 28 weeks. Maybe they'll arrange something similar?

@Cafeaulait27 I know exactly how you feel lovely and it is totally normal. Pregnancy is an emotional time on it's own, when you add in previous loss and anxiety it can bring up overwhelming feelings at times.

@Bellabubble I bought a cute little baby grow the other day. That will do me for now, it is a lovely yellow with little animals on. 💛 my mum has offered to buy us a big ticket item but we still have our old pram, cot, baby swing, jumperoo, baby gym, high chair etc so we really don't need too many "big" things. They are still in great condition. It is mainly just a moses basket and new monitors as our old ones are dated. The rest is the usual.. clothes, bibs etc and last time we ended up with far too much as gifts. We didn't need to buy nappies for the first six months!

@PumpkinEverything I love Kinder Milk Slices, they were my one craving when pregnant with my daughter. I ended up getting boxes imported from Germany 🤣🤣 my craving this morning is lemonade ice lollies, I am on a mission to find some today. I have been very grumpy lately, I've put it down to being knackered constantly and work is very busy right now.

@lamby12 I know it's difficult but try and not think that things are going to go wrong again. You are pregnant, you've had a positive scan and things are progressing nicely.

All your Easter eggs sound fab!!

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 06:21

@MrsTD88 Morning! I'm always up early because of DS lol 😴 I'm getting a slight lie in today till about 7 when our Sainsburys shop comes.

I'm feeling so bloated/cramps again today. So uncomfortable.

I need the next 2 weeks to go quickly! I just want my scan over with. I hate the waiting. But then the week after next I start work again and DS is at Nursery, so I don't want to rush to that... lol confusing! He's got a settling in session on Tuesday for 2 hours!! I don't know what I'll do without him lol. We're just always together ❤️ Too much happening at once atm.

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 06:27

@Pancakes7 good morning 😁 I am so glad it is the weekend. I am quite enjoying my early wake ups, I can sit and catch up on trashy telly 🤣

Wow you are very organised getting your shopping in so early. We are clearing some old stuff from the garden today and taking it to the dump. Looking forward to getting some new garden furniture ready for the warmer weather.

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 06:32

@MrsTD88 Aw lovely. Our garden needs a lot of TLC. We don't really use it which is a shame. It's sloped and has a small grass patch that's raised so it's not the most kid friendly. We used to do loads of BBQ's though. I think we might again this year. DS would love it.

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 06:35

I'm starting to get tempted to book another scan next week. It just feels like forever waiting till my scan. I'm trying to be strong though and not book it lol

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 06:41

@Pancakes7 ours isn't great either but it is a real sun trap so I love sitting out there in the summer while the little one plays. Our neighbours love her she always makes them laugh when she's out playing shops or cafe. They even drop off birthday and Christmas gifts for her which is lovely. I love BBQs usually with a glass of wine but not this year!

I am probably not the best to give advice on early scans 🤣 but I just ended up booking one as I was driving myself crazy with the not knowing.

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 06:43

@MrsTD88 Is this your first early scan? Sorry I can't remember.

lamby12 · 27/03/2021 07:02

So after having the successful 6 week scan yesterday I got up at 2 in the morning for a wee and had pink blood when I wiped. I obviously went into panic mode as I haven't had any bleeding at all this pregnancy. I spent the next couple of hours back and from the bathroom checking and it was just a light but constant flow of light pink/brown blood with some red. After that OH talked me into staying in bed for a while.
I've got up this morning (after no sleep) and it's still the same, definitely more than spotting but it hasn't increased to full blown bright red. There isn't much on my pad but it's there every time I dab toilet paper.
This is exactly how my miscarriage started, a day of this and then the floodgates of bleeding opened. But that was earlier than am I now.
I really don't know if this is the same or just a light bleed, could the internal scan have triggered a bleed?
I'm just waiting to see if it progresses into proper bleeding but I have cramps too which is worrying. I'm just curled up in bed.
I can't believe this right after seeing a tiny speck with a heartbeat yesterday. I'm hoping with everything this isn't the end, I can't take it again.

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 07:11

@lamby12 I'm so sorry you're going through this. The internal scan shouldn't have caused a bleed. I know some people do have bleeds in pregnancy and all is ok. This could be the case for you. Be kind to yourself and rest. Hopefully it's nothing ❤️ I'll be thinking of you.

OP posts:
MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 07:13

@Pancakes7 no sorry I meant I had a private early scan at 10 weeks as my dating scan wasn't until 13 weeks. I am 13+5 now.

@lamby12 so sorry you are going through this. I was going to suggest maybe something has irritated your cervix? Fingers crossed it slows down. I have seen lots of women on here with all different levels of bleeding and their follow up scans have been fine so I am really hoping you have the same outcome. Take it easy today and don't be afraid to pick up the phone and ask your local EPU or midwife for advice. Even out of hours GP.

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 07:16

@MrsTD88 Sorry I've got major baby brain at the moment. They just have the one early scan then? I already had one so should just really wait another two weeks is so long! At least I will have work soon to keep me busy I'm getting DS settled into nursery. I need to be distracted

OP posts:
Greenrubber · 27/03/2021 07:17

@lamby12
Internal scans can trigger bleeding so don't panic!
I know it's hard as that's also how my mc started but there are so many reasons for spotting in early pregnancy
Stay as positive as you can
I would take it easy today and see if the spotting stops once it's stops I would book myself in for another scan at about the 8 week mark when they won't have to do an internal to ease your mind
I sometime spot from sex in previous pregnancies so myself and my husband actually had no sex for the first 3 months of this pregnancy just to be on the safe side

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 07:22

@Pancakes7 it is so hard to keep up isn't it. I had 2 at EPU as the first one was inconclusive as it was too early (these were due to previous ectopic so scanned early as standard) and then when I got my 12 week scan date through and realised how late it was I booked the private one for 10 weeks to break it up a little bit. I have definitely found being in the office more the past few weeks a welcome distraction.

Pancakes7 · 27/03/2021 07:25

@MrsTD88 I'll be 10 weeks on Monday. DH doesn't want to pay out for another scan. So think I'll have to wait. 2 weeks on Tuesday. There's that little voice like oh but what if it's all gone when they scan? I'm mostly positive but you can't stop the worries still.
